This whole BR "decompression" update has been so chaotic, some jets didn't move up when they should have like the F8U-2 and J-7E, some planes are at the same BR as their upgraded variants like the F-5C, and some jets just got moved up for NO reason at all, like the F-4C. They gotta fix the BRs again
Yeah there’s plenty of work that’s still needed like the F-5c, etc, etc but overall it’s a step in the right direction imo. And I’m grateful that I no longer have to fight F-16’s in my F4E 😅
redditors are still crying over the f-5C as if it were the absolute best 10.3, literally obnoxiously THE supersonic aircraft that only thrives if other supersonic aircraft are willing to let themselves get fragged. Never had an issue against the F-5C, it is no longer the OP mobile it was, before when m39 cannons reached 3km ahead and the aim9E's were just 10G versions of the aim9j (this was, great range and very good flare resistance), now it's at 11.0 being worse than the J7E in every single aspect (and so is the f-5E) lmao.
@@DragoneyeVII gripenA variant is the most advanced gen 4 plane in game atm. the f-16as/f-14bs/mig29s/jas39a/f-15as/all need their own 0.0-1.0 BR range (advanced fox1class) out of reach of the f-4e and f4j variants but they also need to be out of reach fox 3 aircraft as well. The mirage f1 and tornado / and Japanese F4 ej kai phantom II / mirage 2000 s5 / mig21 bison / f-20 /mig23 are better suited to get up-tiered. But ideally would be better for them to have their own BR range (average fox 1 class) the f4e/f4js/f4s and below phantoms need their own space. (Early fox1 class) They should only be facing mig21 class aircraft and below, mig21 bison not included. phantom was primarily a Vietnam-era fighter. The PDV radar is an early pulse doppler, it's easily notched. The aim7f can be defeated quite easily because of that.
Loving I can actually turn it now. Tough unlearning months of muscle memory on how to turn it though. Only way I’ve got it to rip was pitching up and rolling hard going over 1100kmh after a few seconds. It’s impossible to rip now
@@Jackson-Lawson I have to admit I never played the F8-U2 and was only close to researching it. But I have never ever seen that thing rip but once outside of a dogfight in my entire lifetime of over 600 matches with the MiG-21S

I demand that they finally fix the overpulling bug on this aircraft and many others before moving it up. There’s no reason as to why it just randomly pulls 16Gs after pulling a continuous 9-10Gs. It’s ridiculous that they still haven’t fixed it…
@@GeneralLee2000 I agree, it’s over preforming drastically after these changes, but this change is still desperately needed and extremely long overdue.
heres a little tip about the trigger time since the guns are divided into 2 groups, you can set a keybind for swapping primary weapons and only fire two of the guns at once doubling the effective trigger time, sure you have less volume of fire but with high velocity high damage guns like the colts its honestly worth the trade off i use this on the F8 and ESPECIALLY on the F2 Sabre
This plane shocked me with how it doesn't lose energy even in circling fights. Also you never get uptiered. Good revenge for all the suffering encountered in 9.3 br
I was mad at gaijin for these br changes and i started grinding the us tech tree and about to get this thing and eventually the f14 which are both great planes for their brs ty gaijin
I play the Ariete a lot and before the decompression it absolutely slapped everything even in an uptier. I never saw enough F8s to give me a problem, but after the F5s were moved up I easily see 2-3 a game and they legitimately do give me a problem as theyre fast and have good missiles
The br change is on statistics such as if a plane is played alot than it will have a high chance of changing or if some planes have a high k/d than they will br8ng ot up in br the most visible change is in the french tech tree the ranks and planes are very good but the people that play france aren t begginers so the stats show that a certain tank is destroying every thing at a certain br not because the tanks are op but because the players are playing new ones with less experience, i started playing wt with the french tech tree because i am french and struggled because some 6.7 tanks went up to 7.7 because they were overperforming wich is why the f8e has a low br because no 9ne plays it unless they're new to the rank where they will probably lose al9t make the plane seem bad in gaijin eyes
You can double the trigger time by turning off one pair of guns through weapon selector. Once the other pair runs out of ammo, it''ll switch back on, no additional input needed.
If you want more trigger time the F8 guns are split into 2 groups, you can select them in pairs if you want a shooting profile more similar to like an F5. Many people might not have the button bound to even do this because it's not often needed.
Wouldn’t the 9c’s make sense why the F8e goes up and this stays the same, Wasn’t their main thing to make it so planes with all aspects don’t face ones without
this jet is especially a problem in sim. Red side has NO fighter below 11.0 that has missiles and flares. This was already and issue before. In my opinion, no matter what, the f8 should always be at the same BR of a mig21 smt. They are very similar planes, different performances but equally capable
The main reason I stayed away from the F8U-2 was that stupid wing rip issue. I still think they need to tune the FM so you can't rip it just by pulling for an extended period of time but the rip changes are making me want to fly it out again...
My personal favorite part is now the A-10 and Su-25 are some of the best fighters in the game since they almost always fight 9.3 to 10.3 matches. There are almost no fighters with flares in that range.
I honestly kind of like the new shitshow of these brs? Some stuff is definately out of wack - like the Su27 being above the Gripen, or the F8U of course, but it also helps make some more niche planes be a lot more competitive, the su17m4 for example, I've been having a blast in using it like a turnfighter.
This plane feels so much better now. I can hope that it stays at the current BR and but hope in one hand and poop in the other and see which one fills up first....
This plane has: - Only rear aspect IR missiles - Wings that are more fragile than Homelander's ego - Russian advertisment max speed that you will never reach 60% no matter the alt unlike MiG-21's - Useless radar and even more useless IRST - Abysmal ground pound payload - Impossbile to properly land - you either glide on flaps never touching the ground or break the tail without them - Horrible controls that make fine aiming guns with mouse difficult(unlike F-5's and MiG-21's) I say let it stay at 10.0 until I'm done with US VII rank 😇
It really doesn’t matter. Playing US is almost a guaranteed loss in ARB. Take off, fly straight, do a head on, fire your missile then get shot down. It’s mind boggling.
I’m pretty sure these changes for the worse are totally intentional. They do this every time. I’ve been with the game for more than 10 years and every time they seemingly decompress a BR, they just make it worse. It’s mind games.

@@GeneralLee2000I believe that the plane didn’t get good statistics bc of wings problem. Planes like this (or Ayit) demand some discipline and piloting skills that’s why in good hands they are very strong and inexperienced players keep br relatively low constantly ripping wings. It’s gonna take some time but F-8U is going to move up eventually since the wing problem is kinda solved now.
If this is what their statistical balancing looks like, it's baffling to me looking at the things that did go up... and the things that didn't. Belgian F-16A at 13.3 while Gripen A is at 13.0... haha. ha.
As you should, I am playing it now for the event and it's just as op as the f8u.. I get multiple aces every day. But I dread the Ayit more for some reason :D
This thing is a monster in a downtier and is one of my most played jets, many people don't realise it is even better than the f8e. Any mig21 is easy food, you can go toe on toe with f5c's
This whole “decompression ” thing is a disaster, like sure decompressing the 9.7~10.0 bracket is a good thing but in my opinion completely messing all the BR’s above and then leave things like this or the f104 or the mig 19s completely negates any good they seek, like F5e and f5c at the same br? And the FCU just .3 ahead? The absolute insanity of the f16 adf and aj at the same BR as the grippen or f15 like what?, and more and more and more, Just leave it a gaining to change everything and have a worst result than not doing anything.

Even with the issue of Broken Wing at above 13G, I still use it even though it is difficult to use it in a dogfight situation. And morally, this can help someone to be patient if using this plane 😂
Gaijin just give me the controls I will fix it. J-35XS, F-5E, and other previous 10.7s will go up to 11.3 instead of 11.0. F-5E FCU will go up to 11.7! F8U up to 10.3, and J-7E up to 11.7! Your welcome gaijin
Finnish Mig 21 Bis being 11.3 is wack. You get so few missiles that don't track half the time (yes 6x R-60MK but those eat flares like candy) and God forbid you try to use R-3Rs because they get 1 chaffed every time. The only advantage it has over most Mig 21s is number of countermeasures which also isn't great at 64.... And if you just look at elevator key, kiss your energy goodbye.
@Rocketracoon809 lol in SR 6.7 P-51 is the Axis jets start 😂 it's fun. Haven't made it to the f-4 yet but it sounds like it has the flight model of a brick lol. And I'm not using any premium planes and it's painful!
@@ScottishSquirrel_yes and no. Yes the missles are garbage, definitely should get aim9js. But the flight performance more than makes up for it. I think the challenge for people is it’s actually balanced now, and not op as people would like it to be.
Gaijin screwed Sim players again 😂 Now both models are 10.3 On top of that I can’t see jack in my Crusader unless I’m 2 feet from my 60 inch TV So The Demon Reigns Supreme still 😂
You also gotta remember that the majority of players are not that good at the game. Your experience is not going to reflect the average player's experience because you are actually very good at the game. You might dominate in an aircraft and feel like it's the aircraft that is OP when really it's because you know how to use it and know what to do in general. Take one of the thousands of average players and put them in all the same situations and they won't perform nearly half as well.
That's not the point, in a completely fair scenario this plane is probably too good for its br irrespective of skill. If you got monkeys flying around then the plane doesn't matter and you might as well not watch these videos, you're just gonna crash on takeoff anyway.
That reasoning is why the F-15A stayed at 12.3 while the Su-27 and JAS-39 were moved to 12.7. Even now it is still a BR step lower than them, even though it belongs in the same BR. So, unlike the Su-27, it gets the chance to go seal clubbing F-4S players whenever it gets a downtier. If the aircraft and missiles are great (for the BR), but it's piloted by incompetent players, it doesn't mean the plane should go down in BR to give those incompetent players an easier time, it is the player's fault for not learning how to properly use the tools given to them.
This type of reasoning is the same thinking the monkey balancers at gaijin have. You dont balance the BR based on the statistics and how bad players are. You balance based on the performance of the plane itself
