It's a time paradox everyone . Hodor knew is fate from the beginning . He knew he was going to die "holding the door" .

I kind of expected every one of you would be in tears by the end. I was in tears. Saddest moment on GOT for me this. next ned's execution and then red wedding.

R.I.P Hodor. You went out like a boss. Brans wolf on the other hand... Totally unnecessary. I want to take Summers death as symbolism that Winter has officially begun, but I feel like HBO just doesn't want to pay that CGI bill anymore. Besides that, great episode. I basically cried myself to sleep last night lol

The Raven purposely brought Bran back to that time to make Willys Hodor, so that we have a present Hodor to hold that door while they're escaping. It's like destiny and shit. Everything is in place before it even happens. Plus, it already happened, that's why our Hodor is already Hodor.

The look of dread on Rana's face, near the end, is priceless. It embodies what that final scene felt like. So sad...

This is why I would never watch Game of Thrones as part of a crowd. While it'd be cool to watch it with friends, I'd need everyone to shut their mouths in moments such as Hodor's death and just watch the damn scene. People shouting out what they think is happening/going to happening AS THE SCENE IS OCCURRING would drive me ballistic.

Oh god, whenever I see Hodor hold the door, I just start sobbing violently. The only scene that I can rewatch and still have such a visceral reaction every time. I don’t know why.. it’s just, he’s so innocent. And he’s trying so hard to hold the door to save Bran and Meera. It just stabs me in the heart. Love you Hodor ♥️

The birth and death of Hodor in the same scene... If you remember a while back when Bran returned from his vision where he saw young Hodor for the first time, he asks him "What happened?" and he says "Hodor" and bursts into tears, so he definitely knew what happened (will happen). So that means Hodor knew from the beginning that this was going to happen to him eventually...that's soooo friggin tragic. :'-(

So after this episode, I went around looking for reaction videos and stumbled into you guys! Gotta say, no matter how many times i watch that final scene, I still get goosebumps. I've subsequently gone back and watched all of your season 6 reaction and discussion vids! (not sure whether that's a commentary on my own lack of a life or.....) In any case, I don't have all that many friends who're watching the show (yeah, I know, wtf?!), so it's fun watching you guys talk about it. :)

It's a masterful scene and the Stark theme playing for Hodor is so fitting. He might not have been born a Stark but he sure died as one!
