FYI, balance in Star Wars was never the number of Jedi eaualling the number of Sith. It was the elimination of the Sith which Analin did achieve in Episode VI. This is because the Dark Side is like an abomination of the Force. When Star Wars says "balance," they mean it as a synonym of "harmony". Like when nature is balanced it is in harmony, not equal parts nature and pollutions. Or how a balanced indivisual is.morally upright, not equal parts life saver and murderer. This was evidenced by Lucas's depiction of the Dark Side, which had no moral upsides. His original happy ending in Return of the Jedi was when the Sith were extinct and the Jedi were restored. That's why the complete Prophesy is about bringing blance to the Force *by* killing all the Sith. And if all this still isn't enought to convince you, Lucas literally said in an Episode III interview that Anakin brought balance to the Force when he killed the Emporer and came back from the the Dark Side himself. That was what finally brought balance, not the events in this movie. Murdering the Jedi is literally what caused the Force to go so strongly out of balance in the first place.
