I was able to cash in from PayPal to GCash twice but I tried it in the following day, it says 'try relinking your paypal... etc.." Have you encountered this issue? I'm not sure what is the problem but I hope they will fix it since they are on maintenance today.

As long as the email, billing address and name are the same, that should be good to go. If your number is not yet added, you might also want to add it first. You can add multiple email address and phone numbers to your PayPal account

It's not in full caps but just the standard, first letter capitalized format. Just double check both accounts' settings and the registered account names.

How about transferring a deposit from Gcash to Paypal? Is there a way for this?

Hi Mauwiks, that's not possible. Although technically there's a way to do it. What you'll need to do is link your GCash Mastercard to Paypal. Once you have that setup, it basically serves as a funding source for your Paypal. This means that if you're going to make an online purchase using PayPal and it so happens that you don't have enough funds on your PayPal account, you will have the option to use funds from your GCash account to fill in the lacking amount.

Are you in the Philippines? You need to have a Philippine based phone number in order to use/register GCash.

Hi sir. I followed the instructions carefully and it was linked successefully. However i cant cash in from paypal. It will lead me to preapprove payments and will say preapproved payments has been deactivated. To reactivate it, reset your PIN. Would you knw sir which pin do i need to reset?

This is a new issue that I've heard recently but I haven't encountered yet so I don't have an idea on how to solve yet. I will let you know once I know the full details and how we can fix this problem. In the meantime, you may also want to check with GCash care.

When you're linking Paypal to GCash as a preapproved payment and not as a credit card/debit card, you have the benefit of withdrawing your Paypal funds automatically. However, if you'll link the American Express virtual card, it will work like the regular debit/credit card linking and unfortunately, that means you won't be able to withdraw to AMEX.

hi I already followed your instruction but when i checked my paypal on the preapproved section it says that "To protect your account, this preapproved payments has been deactivated. To reactivate it, reset your PIN." I already did change my pin nor my password in paypal and gcash no progress.. Is this still mean I can still continue to withdraw funds?

+katrina noguera I honestly don't know the answer, but the best way to test it is to try making a PayPal cash in. Kahit 100 pesos lang just to make sure that what we're thinking is correct.

Hi, I'm stuck till the screen at 3:00. I didn't get same as 3:11. I checked Paypal and it appears on Preapproved Payments but when I go to Cash-in from Paypal on the Gcash app it says I have to link my Paypal first. I'm using android. Thank you.

There is nothing to worry about Paypal's email. It's just a standard notification. There's nothing you need to do. Just keep it in your inbox as part of your record.

Hi Mac, There seems to be an issue with GCash at this time. I'm also having the same problem that you have even if I've already linked my account previously. Try relinking your account tomorrow and we'll see how it goes.

Pwede mo pong ilink yung GCash card mo sa Paypal para magamit mo sya as funding source. So kung bibili ka online gamit ang Paypal, kung sakaling kulang yung pondo mo sa Paypal pwede nyang gamitin ang funds mo sa GCash.

Hi there, Thanks for this vid. But unfortunately I didn't follow this steps but what I did was I went to my Paypal account and from there I tried to link my Gcash. But the problem is upon adding my Gcash Amex account I don't know what address to put to my billing address whether the US address indicated in the GCash Amex virtual card or my current address. Upon editing the billing address there's no selection of US address to select so I'm bit confused at that time so I just deleted the card. But my question is I've been charged of 52.57 for the approval but I didn't push through and deleted the card, will the 52.57 be refunded back to me just in case? *I should have been watch this video first though! tsk

Hi Jym, Sorry to hear about your misadventure in the linking process. In regards to the refund, I'm not entirely sure how that would work since you've already deleted the card. Let's just hope the refund will still go through. If not, then let's just say that that's a tuition fee :) and a lesson learned. Hopefully the video will help you do it correctly this time around.

Nice, I'm really amazed how fast you replied to my query. Actually I added and save the card that's why I get billed by Paypal for verification and wasn't able confirmed it bec. I was a bit confused that time. But come to think of it, if you want to add a CC to your Paypal you should have been go through Paypalwebsite right? Haha

Pag nalink na po ninyo yung GCash ninyo sa Paypal, it can serve as your funding source. So anytime na gagamitin nyo yung Paypal account nyo to pay for your FB Ads at walang available balance sa Paypal nyo you'll have the option to choose your GCash linked card to pay for it.

Hi Kevin, you won't be able to transfer from GCash to PayPal. However, you can link your GCash card or AMEX virtual card to your Paypal and it will serve as a funding source for your Paypal account. This means, when you buy online using Paypal and you don't have enough funds on your Paypal, you will be given the option to use your GCash card to top up the fund from your Paypal so you can still pay or complete your order.

Siguraduhin nyo lang po na yung Gcash at Paypal account nyo pareho, specially name, middle name, at last name. Double check nyo lang po kung matched ba mga info na nasa GCash account nyo at yung nasa Paypal. 👍👍

ok na saken, nalink ko na sa gcash app si paypal, hindi kasi pwede sa phone ko dahil cherry mobile marshmallow version lang, ginawa ko lang naghanap ako ng samsung lollipop version 5.0/5.1 sakto pinsan ko ganun phone, so ginawa ko hiniram ko saglit then db stock lang close and continue, dun sa cp ng pinsan ko pagclick ko close and continue my lumabas na nalinked ko na daw yung paypal sa gcash app. up to now nakakapag cash in nako kahit magkano.

Hi caspian caliber Pwede mong ilink yung GCash Card sa Paypal account mo pero hindi mo maiitransfer (literally) yung pera sa PayPal account. Ang mangyayari lang, pag nalink mo na yung GCash Card mo sa Paypal, magiging funding source sya. Ibig sabihin, pag bumili ka online at ang gagamitin mong pambayad is paypal tapos kulang o walang laman yung Paypal account mo pero merong pondo yung GCash account mo, yung kulang na amount kukunin ni Paypal sa GCash account mo para mabili mo parin yung item.

Nung time na nilink ko yung account ko to Paypal, wala po. Pero sa latest na updates, maaaring iba na po so baka meron na nga siyang trial/test charge para mag link ng account.

Ang KYC po ay isang BSP mandate sa mga financial institutions gaya ng bangko at providers gaya ng GCash, PayMaya at mga pawnshops/remittance centers. Kailangan lang maverify yung identity mo para makasiguro na yung gumawa ng account ay isang lehitimong tao at hindi dummy. So kelangan mong mag present ng government issued ID bilang katunayan na ikaw nga ang tao na sinasaad sa account mo. Kung magpapa KYC ka, pwede kang pumunta sa globe store, dala kalang ng valid ID at proof of billing. Sandaling sandali lang siya tska minsan lang yan gagawin. Pagkatapos nyan, maeenjoy mo na yung full benefit ng "fully verified" account.

Hi Angel, you can't literally add money from GCash to Paypal, but what you can do is link your GCash mastercard to your Paypal account. By doing that, everytime you make a purchase using Paypal as a payment option but don't have enough paypal funds in your account, Paypal will give you the option to use your GCash Mastercard as a funding source. Which means, if you have 2000 in your GCash and you have 1000 in your Paypal, if you're trying to buy a 3000 worth item, you can still complete the purchase. I hope that helps clarify things on the use of GCash as a funding source.

Yung KYC po is "Know Your Customer" ito po yung verification ng identity ninyo. So kelangan mo ng government ID or any valid ID to prove your identity.

Hi George, if you want to use your GCash funds to buy on ebay, what you'll need to link is your GCash mastercard not GCash itself. Here's the difference: GCash Account + Paypal - this allows you to cash in funds from your Paypal to GCash GCash Card + Paypal - this allows you to buy using Paypal but funded by your Gcash balance. So if you buy on ebay (even if zero balance on Paypal) as long as you have funds in your GCash that's enough to for the item you're buying then you can complete your purchase.

I also have not been able to do any transaction on my account and it keeps on asking me to relink so I think, the problem that you're encountering is not isolated to you but it's across all GCash users both linked and those who are just starting to link their GCash to Paypal.

I've experienced that before too. You just have to try again.
