You can do it on standing pins at 90, which is how I do it. Really no need to pull the input shaft unless it has a bad bearing or splines I do everything for the most part from the back of the machine, imo it’s easier. Use a touch of grease on the brake shoe pins, keeps them from seizing Same for the clutch pulley, the pin on the back of the cone aka clutch disk and between the cone and nut And a very light amount of oil on the clutch yoke and lever pins help out a lot too I have virtually no wear on any gb components by doing it this way, which get done yearly

That plate you're not sure about is an oil seal plate. AMF gearboxs have those on the output shafts and splines. If thats anything like an AMF one, that rubber seal you replaced should have a small spring inside that compresses on the output shaft and keeps oil from leaking out.

Can you post video of rebuilding a clutch disk? Like new rivets, changing bearings, so on so forth?

Did you ever find out why the pinsetter was vibrating so much?
