Really awesome, this means we don't have to use that GITHUB curly noise anymore. Thanks, it was really interesting and boy if I am waiting for a better TP system, its essentially the same since version 9! But at least the Maxon Dev team added the PForce, that is a silver lining :)
I'm in c4d 2023 and the particles just stop after a sec or two seconds... I don't get the "flying around suface" for some reason... is that something related to the field force?
Hi! Thank you so much for these lessons! One thing though. I have problems :) One. I've done this donut, but my particles are kind of flying away a little bit, mostly at the end of animation, between 60-90 frames. Voxel distance equals 1. As described. Just can't understand what I did wrong :) An 2nd is how to render the scene to get this magic donut with these cool traces and so on? I have no Redshift installed. Do I.need it? I tried various materials on matrix, torus etc. But nothing works fine. Any advice is appreciated! :)
Hi, for the first one you can try more polygons on the torus, that helped in my case. And second question: You can use the tracer as a spline, in a sweep for example. And then put a texture on the sweep as usual
Hello! Thank you for really useful tutorial. But unfortunately, having upgraded my computer (to be exact having changed usual laptop to computer with RTX4070Ti, may be it's important to mention), I have a problem that after closing the project when I open it again, my Thinking particles don't work. They just don't move as if there were no forces and xpresso. Does anyone know what it can be? It's very strange, because when using my laptop everything still works properly.
Thanks for sharing. I followed this tutorial and the particles don't render in picture viewer. They are fine in render view, but it seems like an issue I would see if I needed to cache a sim or something. I just don't see any cache options on the tracer, fields, or matrix objects. I have a RS Object tag applied to my tracer with a redshift material, too. Is there a setting I missed or something. I didn't see the workflow for rendering particles in this video, just previewing them in the render view.
Playing around with this more it looks like to order of our objects in the object manager is maybe(?) ignored in renderview and then not in the picture viewer. I am able to render the tracer as capsules, but now the tracers are not following the Random Field (the capsules are rendering as straight capsules and aren't curvy like our tracers.) Again, renderview still looks as expected it's when I'm rendering.
Maxon should make thinking particle easier to use to break insidium monopoly over particles. 1000 € for one year for a plug-in, is overcharge. I did pay x particles ones. C4d get updated with new integration, insidium refused to give me the update and need to pay another 1000 € for 1 year. So i have a xparticles i pay extra expensive that i can't even use anymore. F*** them
Sadly, you don't show us, how to colorize this. Can anyone tell me, how to give the traces a dynamic color? Maybe using the random field? I am using Redshift Hair strand RS property without a sweeper object. Do I have to colorize the particles somehow? Would they give their color to the tracer? How do I get a colored Vertex map from the donut on the tracer or on the particles?
what you can do is put the tracer in a sweep and make geometry of it. Put that sweep inside fracture, put plain effector in the fracture ( only effects color, turn off PSR ). get random fields as color control and get color user data for coloring them.
@@xmport Yes, thank you. But as I said, I don''t want to use a sweep. I want to colorize the tracer curves by using the RS hair tag. But maybe this is just not possible...
