Xavi, scholes was good, but Xavi always seemed to out match him when they played. Both intelligent players but controlling the rhythm and pace for Xavi was something we never saw before and he literally took tiki taka main stream which changed on what soccer is today.
Spain did cram midfielders all over the field at one point. They even played some matches without a striker sometimes. Busquets, Scholes and Xavi as the midfield 3. Iniesta on as a forward winger given he often played there exceptionally. Man that would terrifying.
To keep that shot down with control to beat van der sa in the final and that last minute goal to take Barcelona through at Stamford bridge. Iniesta does score important goals. But the other two easily in the top 5. Weird questions nowadays people asking professionals no wonder he was upset.
I’m going for scholes for the reason he controlled man United’s midfield for almost 12 years of Iniesta and xavi were brothers in one legendary team… but mind u xavi was not overrated bro he’s master class player
Nothing individual?🤣🤣the man had out of the world vision, creativity, technique. Dictated the game with ease because he never lost a ball. Scholes is worse version of Iniesta.(not a bad thing) Xavi was unique and is the best deep lying mid to ever play the game.
