The blonde men are easy to tell apart once you get to know them, but a lot of people struggle identifying them in the beginning. It's not just you.

WIT went bankrupt basically and most of the animators weren't being paid well either. So they let a lot of animes go to other studios. For S2 of this anime, most of the animation staff moved to Mappa, so it is going to look basically the same- just under another studio.

WIT's traditional animation is just so beautiful, I don't think it will look the same. I prefer wit animation over mappa anyday.

@@deadsoon I hope it does, trailer looked like a mixed style of mappa and wit. For some reason Mappa's scenes are so close to the characters, I mean it's less panoramic. I dunno how it explain it but it just throws me off. It works for shows like jujutsu and chainsaw man, but it doesn't for aot and Vinland.

Askeladd is such a great character. Just in his introduction scene alone he already gives us a taste of his calm, calculating personality and immediately hammers down the fact he's not one to be underestimated. I just love him.

For the Record, Thors's buddy from episode one was a guy named Thorkell, not little Askelad.

Just to clarify the guy getting paid to Gank Thors Does not know Thor Personally That guy who fought beside Thors is a completely different xharavter named Thorkell The one being paid to attempt an ganking (🤣🤣) Is Askeladd (Askelad or Askeladd (without the definite -en suffix) are Danized, or Dano-Norwegian forms. The Norwegian form Oske-ladd is composed of oske 'ash' and ladd 'hair sock' (related to loden 'hairy, shaggy'), with the explanation that ashes allowed to cling to the feet seem like furry socks) Just the meaning behind his name

OK so Wit isn't fully dead in the water they're owned by production IG and have several shows in the 2023 calendar. They are massively in debt but their parent company is shouldering the cost at least at the moment. A Studio has full rights on what project to undertake. Wit for the most part just doesn't like sequels for whatever reason (Madhouse curse) and I think it's mostly that sequels get so much less investment than a S1. For example this year they produced Spy X family in a co-production with Cloverworks where every odd Ep was Wit and every even Ep was Cloverworks as well as working on their show Onipan. They've had success with their original works including Great Pretender, Vivy and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortres.

Hey I can now confirm your using bad subtitles. The inclusion of “my god” in one of askellad’s lines this episode and several previous lines in the last two episodes are very incorrect. If you keep using these bad subtitles you will most likely misunderstand key parts of the show. You should switch to the Amazon primes subtitles if at all possible.
