I honestly couldnt tell you the last time I took the time to write a heartfelt RU-vid comment. I don't go beyond *like* the video & comment *Nice work* or I say nothing. I certainly can't speak on behalf of Steve. His platform is his platform alone. I just want to acknowledge something about his.*Ginger bit*. It seemed heartfelt. Both comedical, but serious at the same time. Many people simply don't have a deep heartfelt understanding about what *Ginger* represents to those with Red Hair a Light Skin. I want to offer an anecdote for anyone dealing with this issue & struggling to internalize rationally. *Because his point needs to be driven home.* Whether or not Steve is just being playful doesnt make the underlying point any less important. One of my close friends is a red head. He is a professional mma fighter and super sweetheart. Got bullied a lot. Learned to fight. Went 4-1 as an amateur and 4-2 as a pro. Now he is retired and teaches kid's self-defense programs in NEPA. Well..when fighters get good...they are noticed...then promoted...and offered contracts. Larger promotions like Bellator and UFC begin to notice. Fighters get nicknames. When they develop a fan base, make money off their brand, etc. Its a career. And the nickname becomes part of their brand in a major way. People trying calling him *The Ginga Ninja.* Why? People thought it was cool that there was a redhead who knew how to fight. It was in intended to be an insult. His fans were simply unaware. They were ignorant. We politely informed them *The Ginja Ninja* title, aka nickname, could be detrimental to his psyche going forward. *Even though it was intended to be inspirational.* I could write a novel or make a documentary about the events which transpired after. But that's his decision. Its hos story to tell. *If he chooses to publicize* I hope he does. Maybe he won't. *While I won't tell his story, I will offer you the moral it conveys.* Because maybe it will help someone. .. If you can stand up to assholes, stand up to them. Assholes are just idiots that never learned they were idiots.. Not everyone has a team of professional mma fighters who have their back. So, if you can help, help. Comedy is great. But Human decency and individualized Mental Health is important too. On the bright side, if you look him up on any other major promos website. *The Ginga Ninja is no longer listed anywhere.* He's well-respected in the Mma community. Beloved even. He is a role model. With the extreme makeover bit, HIGHLY accurate, my mother painted a kickass star wars hyperspace mural on this kids wall because the mom said he liked star wars, literally one tiny detail from his life, and the whole room I think had tie fighter or swing bed and everything. Just mind boggling the effort they put into those houses. For what even.

As a Megan (here in Aus, that's our Mee-gun, and we use Meggan your Meg-n) I can attest this is pretty accurate. My mother has tried to make me her 2.0 (much to her failure, thank goodness).

The act was hilarious, but I had a big 'WHAT?' moment, and had to pause and do some quick Googling after: 47:30 - Back in the day [widows] could not get re-married. Steve Hofstetter, did you know the details of this? Just learned that many high-caste Hindu widows were denied remarriage until 1856, because of weird inheritance and honor reasons. Often it was child brides being married to a guy already on his deathbed, and the marriage was never even consummated. And not being able to remarry afterwards, the girls faced a choice - run away and become prostitutes - or shave their heads, starve in forced fasting, and not be allowed to wear a shirt, or really go outside the house. Damn my curiosity for making me sad...

Growing up, I had red hair which glowed with the intensity of 1000 suns. When older women asked me, .""Where did you get your beautiful red hair?" I would say, "It's the refuse from my mother's vagina, when she gave birth. It just never washed out." Now I just shave my head and curse at the "all-knowing" one.
