Poor Katelyn... I would also be traumatized by party poppers if that happened to me. It is definitely something my brother (who is called Evan!!) would do. I love listening to your podcasts while doing homework. You guys never fail to make me smile. Thank youu!!

Evan's wrist issues is making me think of the saying "if you dont take a break, your body will make you take one/take one for you". Hopefully your new ergonomic setup will help (i just got a vertical mouse too!), and you'll be able to make those longterm work balance changes to help keep you both healthy longterm! Its much better to have to give up a few of your babies now than end up with a longterm injury that prevents you from working all together ❤

I'm typing all of this with my thumbs 😎 At work I tend to switch between a classic mouse and a vertimouse, and sometimes throw in some touchpad 🙂 Switching around eases the strain on my hand compared to using only one mouse all the time, no matter how ergonomic that mouse is all the repeats will take its toll sooner or later 🐁

yes, that's a strategic vision. You just picture what you and others will look like and feel when you arrive in a new way of being, then you can slowly and accidentally course correct until you arrive in that place.

The Aries one, that is trying really hard to stand behind a bubble, saying I want to be hidden, but secretly hoping it will magnify me so that you see that I am your favorite! Now there is cool psychology, and only funny because it is true.

1. I press B with my right hand. 2. A friend of mine has a mouse like Evan's new one to help with carpal tunnel and says it really helps. Also we call it his 'karate chop mouse', which I feel is a vibe y'all could get on board with.

So I finished the podcast on my drive today and just had to come on to comment about typing with an ergo keyboard. I also recently built a custom ergo keyboard and learned that my typing quirk is utilizing my left hand to reach for both the Y and the H key when they are located on the right side. This is interesting because as I accustom myself to the ergo, it is starting to affect my typing speed on a usual layout we are used to!

Maybe y’all already know this- but stretching out the chest and the front of the shoulder / strengthening the back to keep the front from getting too tight can dramatically help with wrist issues! Feel better ❤️

Evan I've personally been dealing with cubital tunnel/ulnar nerve issue as well. I have a theraband flexbar that has had an amazing impact on my recovery, would highly recommend it. I do a few exercises with it, Tyler twist reverse Tyler twist, and a double hand bend. Seriously get one of these!!

I highly recommend checking out the theme system by Cortex/CGP. It's definitely a good way of handling the bigger picture goals.

I LOVE my vertical mouse. Got one for work and it made such a huge difference. It took like 3 days to get used to the new direction to move my hand but after that, using a normal mouse is weird lol

Omg, so true about "B"!! I was trying out an ergonomic keyboard and did the same thing Katelyn did. My bf did the same thing and he was just as annoyed. I'd've bought an ergonomic keyboard otherwise though, but I can't get over "B" with the left hand. 😅

I type B with my left hand, but I'm also old enough that I actually had a typing class in high school and was taught touch typing on a manual typewriter the old fashioned way :)

I don't understand why touch typing isn't taught in schools. At least I wasn't taught (I'm 17 so fairly current) and it's such a key skill. I strongly believe that every primary school child should be learning to touch type alongside learning to write. I have messy handwriting ( I think it's because I have a bad arm) so I got the option to type for my exams but there was no point cos I'm not a fast typer.

I have a vertical mouse and I love it! Confuses the heck out of people who haven't seen one before. I got to the point where I could use any keyboard instead of just an ergo one, but the mouse has stayed with me for years. And side note - I had to train myself to use my left thumb to hit the B key. Haha!

As a copywriter, I did switch to a split keyboard a while ago and I got used to it pretty quickly. Btw, B was not an issue for me, but somehow T was 🤷‍♀️ I don't know why I was writing T with my right hand and H with left hand 🤯Anyways, great podcast, I actually agree with Evan's views on the yearly goals and resolutions.

Before you go towards surgery or anything like that, please try massaging your neck and arms! Have Katelyn watch some videos on massage techniques and perhaps buy a massage gun to help! If you're open to CBD, use full spectrum CBD topicals on the neck arms and wrist that is effected. I am a certified massage therapist and a huge fan of you guys! If I lived close I'd offer to work on you myself. Surgery for these types of problems rarely work well, while massage can be very effective! Much love and hope you get to a more pain free existence soon!

Completely obsessed with what hands I use to type what letters now. I think I use my right and left interchangeably depending on... I don't know, maybe depending on the letters I just used?? Like, when I type the word "type" I use the "y" key with my right hand because I just used my left hand to type the "t" and that's faster than moving the same finger to type the letter next to it. But if I type "bye" I use my right hand to type both the "b" and the "y", but I used the middle finger to type the "y"... 😖😖😖 Thank you Katelyn, I'm going to go insane now. But I think the lesson to take from this is that I can never ever use one of those kinds of keyboards.

oh... I just realized I use both my right hand and my left hand to type the letter b (and basically all other letters that aren't somewhere on the very edges of the keyboard) depending on what letter comes after and where the respective hands currently are on the keyboard. I'm sure someone has a lot of things to say about that "technique" of mine lol

I know how you feel about your lack of strength in your legs and arms and back. I have a auto immune disorder called WG wegener granulomatosis and it affects everything from brain to my toes. I have no real feeling in my feet, my hands claw up, I have lung damage, kidney damage, brain damage, and general health problems. So covid and its twin is a real struggle for me. So please take care of your body and when it says rest, rest otherwise you will not want to do anything.

BIG IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why don't you do a RU-vid cannel making exercise fun. Forinstance, you could make an obstacle course that involves physical challenges, and a time limit to do it in -- it could evolve and changes every week. That is just an example. You can do better. We could maybe INVENT "Exercise Golf" or, "spring shoe" jazercise, or a Tarzan swing rope course "Yodelododododo".

Here is things I notice, You want to do a lot of things and that spreads your time really thin. You need to prioritize your projects. I know you dont agree but the gaming channel can go to twice a month for 2 hours and the podcast is only relevant to your content and I think it can move and you can extend the length of a your youtube video to include a podcast at the end of a video but keep it to 15-30 minutes. In regards to a workspace you need a warehouse where you can put workout equipment as well as a studio to film in and keep the garage a garage. Think of how tool time looked on the show Home Improvement back in the day. Keep work at work and keep home at home. Also, this video is an hour? Kinda long. 30 mins feels nicer. I do hope you read this. Wes
