God that ending chuckle of “I toooold you” is so disturbing, cause like, after Cow Girl’s speech and the argument you really want him to just settle down and take a break, cause the murderous side is clearly wearing him down and unhealthy, but at the same time, he’s completely necessary and GS can’t get rid of him just yet, because goblins are still a threat

i liked that they showed the ridiculous economics of DND where a single gold piece can cover all your daily costs. Yet adventures earn hundreds a go.

After watching all six of these in a day, this is unironically one of the most narratively competent stories in terms of characterization and editing that I've seen in a long time.

I love how everyone unironically thinks Goblin Slayer is pretty as hell without his armor.

Uncle: "How many times do you have to kill a guy before he stays dead?" Cow Girl: "At lease three" The Belmonts: "Hahaha, if only.... *if only"*

I just realized that they can probably convince him to kill pretty much anything if they say it's a goblin. Guild Lady: I need you to kill an enormous, scale-covered, leathery-winged, fire-breathing goblin. Goblin Slayer: What?! You need me to kill a suspiciously dragon-like goblin? I WILL NEVER BACK DOWN FROM A CHALLENGE! ESPECIALLY A GOBLIN-SLAYING CHALLENGE!!

That's actually sad. He almost overcome his crisis, almost make a first step to be free from his non-stop goblin-slaying hysteria, and then he found footsteps. And with that, his "normal" self once again fall into abyss. Maybe, without a chance to coming back.

I actually believe it now that GS is heavily introverted and he feels more protected and confident in his armour because nobody can see him inside.

"This is an awfully high salary for a boy of any kind, ESPECIALLY A COWBOY" "HOW WOULD YOU KNOW!? "I've worked with cows my whole life" "Maybe you're just bad at it" He makes a good point

I genuinely felt bad in the end with Goblin Slayer mentally at war with himself. The struggle to just wanting to stop and be normal but the trauma just bubbling under the surface gnawing at him. And the worst part is the trauma is practical.

“I’m an accountant, bet you didn’t account for that” killed me😂

"I saved her from a rabid pack of tax write-offs" This is one of my favorite lines ever.

I just realized It's his village that gives people names based on their jobs. That's why he took that mentality towards his own job and his "business associates". Genius writing, wtf

This right here is why abridged series are worth the wait.

I was confused about why he wouldn't be honest with Cow Girl about his job, then I realised it's because he's worried about her trauma. And woah, that's really sweet.

I'll never get tired of hearing Grimmjack as Goblin Cowboy Milk Money Pest Man Controller Slayer

I love the idea that farmers in this world are outrageously strong, but they only use their freakish powers for mundane or trivial shit.

Anyone who questions Goblin Slayer's Sanity... He passed up a naked pillow fort with Cow Girl, the man is beyond saving, his sanity is as good as Dead

The part where hes fighting himself and he randomly says "Hey guys! Did you hear? Some hero killed the resurrected demon lord!" Makes it so much deeper that hes on the verge of becoming a genuine NPC

This series is like a short movie as good as the actual series. I love what you are doing with the characters, it's really fun and unique. That split personality part was also great. I honestly thought Cowgirl would be dead in this series because of all the hints you dropped in the previous episodes with her face being blotched out along with Goblin Slayer's sister. Also I could tell that Goblin Slayer actually never used the word "goblin" around Cowgirl, like he's trying to protect her for traumatic memories.

Is it just me or was Goblin Slayer taking care not to say the word Goblin in the presence of Cowgirl for fear of triggering some form of PTSD? And that final sequence, holy virgin Mary laying spread eagle on the hood of a Mercedes Benz that was amazing, seeing the two sides of Goblin Slayer arguing and going back and forth was both funny and honestly kind of creepy to give an insight into his damaged mental state.

The bit of Guts’ theme playing whenever the farmer started to reminisce about his past was fantastic

"I only milk the other cows, male ones" and "I milk them dry, bone dry" had me dying

Don’t let the fact pass you by that cowgirl is at least 4x stronger than lancer.

Aw man, the scene with Goblin Slayer as a kid with his sister eating stew really got to me. Sometimes even the shit you think you wont miss like having your sibling be a complete turd is just what you miss about them the most.

The editing was top tier. Not just the custom additions, but selectively capitalizing on scenes without making them feel boring or overused is hard to do, especially when it features recurring events. Also, great job making cow girl feel like a complete character. She's kind of on the back burner in the normal version, there for an obvious reason in the story that is impactful, but she's never given her own true moment to shine.

Neat to see that in this universe, the weirdness is genetic in Goblin Slayer’s family

i just realized that the letters from water town are about the mirror that goblin slayer tossed in the bottom of a lake

They way GS is so... melancholic, and almost timid without his armor is disturbing. I love it! It's so different that you can't help but think about how low his volume is and how it's like he's scared of Lancer when they're talking, and how confused he is when he asks why you would want to beat up a sixteen year-old girl. Edit: It took me seven months to realize that they've set up the perfect opportunity to teach Priestess Vicious Mockery and kill the Goblin King next episode.

GS “I’ve been fighting for so long…” Crazed GS “Keep fighting! Until it’s done!” GS “When will I know it’s done!?” CGS “When you’re dead! WHEN EVERY FILTHY GOBLIN IS DEAD!” GS “Take a break…” CGS “DON’T QUIT!” Absolutely love this part. The laugh before “I told you” was so eerie. Love it!

How the series started. Funny, crazy, dark. How it has progressed. Funny, crazy, dark, the characters have layers to them, funny and very good quotes, and the series has even deviated from the actual anime in that Goblin Slayer keeps his job secret from Cowgirl, he is not just a ball of traumatized rage he has an alter ego he battles with, and comes out when he puts his armor on, and so much more. Also the episodes have gotten longer and better. It has gone from an abridging to something special kind of TFS with their abridged series.

"Have you ever thought about the fact that I protected you? You dont even need me anymore, man." Just hits really hard, man.

This episode felt like an entire movie. A nice movie. And didn't even had any explicit goblin-slaying.

Cowgirl somehow possessing superhuman levels of strength is a gag that somehow fits her character perfectly :D

"I've got an appropriately sized blanket now" one of the most underrated lines I've ever heard

I can't believe you wrote a whole bit around GS getting ants in his armor, and then carried it through the moonlit heart-to-heart to interrupt it.

Major props for treating Cow Girl with more respect (and modesty) than the actual story does. This is seriously a top tier abridged series. Also, I want to adopt Bessies as a system of measurement for my D&D campaign.

Cow Girl being like a soldiers wife is oddly in character for her. Don't see how she doesn't win in the end. She really is the single pillar that stops Goblin Slayer from literally going insane. Well.. MORE insane than usual anyway..

I like how well PTSD and the like are displayed. Makes sense. Medieval Fantasy worlds don't normally have child therapists. And there being something unequivocally evil and justifying of paranoia allows for some neat exploration of this sort of stuff.

Cow Girl is a surprisingly good match for GS in this universe too: also potentially deranged.

The cows mooing is probably one of the funnier bits I like in the series now. Even when I expect it, the moos fucking slap.

Hearing Priestess say "dang it" warms my heart every time.

I love the relationship between ALL the pre-goblin-slayer family. Sister, Uncle, Cowgirl, they're all awesome Edit: ...his fondest memory wasn't eating the soup or any of that, his fondest memory was _spending time with his sister_ Welp, I'm gonna cry now...

Ngl, the writing for this series is top. Fucking. Tier. I've never heard a more intense inner monologue than Goblinslayer's in this episode. I could truly hear his weary soul battling against the immeasurable wrath that consumes him.

43:37 this is when we learn that there’s not ONE goblin slayer, there’s the SLAYER, then there’s the man. It’s upsetting to see the divergence in him due to his trauma.

Cowgirl, and Goblin Slayer's relationship is so wholesome.

This episode was just…wow. Cannot even put it into words. This series is really something else. I don’t know what happened. Ever since episode 4, it really feels like this show has surpassed the original source material. What started as just a parody of the show featuring a crazed lunatic, has become the perfect balanced between comedy and thoughtfulness, with some serious tones thrown in here and there. The structure in this episode was brilliant and well written. Giving audiences not just Goblin Slayer and Cowgirl’s backstory, but also covering what they were doing in between episodes. I think most abridged creators would have just glossed over this subject. The fact that there was so much time and effort put in this episode adds so much more weight and depth to the story. Cowgirl’s character is fantastic. She always been sort of the emotional support for Goblin Slayer in the original source; but here, her character has been elevated. She feels much more human, but you can tell that she, along with Goblin Slayer, is damaged as well. Every interaction between those two feels real. They really care and each wants to protect the other. I can’t tell if she knows that he is slaying goblins; however, I’m pretty sure she knows that he is lying about his (non-goblin slaying) jobs. But they way she plays along makes you understand that she cares deeply for him. It is also tough to say if she was romantic feelings for him, but that honestly doesn’t matter. She still loves him. Goblin Slayer was just adorable this episode. Him lying about slaying goblins because he wants to protect her was so cute and gives him so much more character. I wonder if him lying about his job is because he doesn’t want her to be worried about him, or perhaps he wishes not to reveal his Goblin Slayer persona in fear of scaring her. The lengths he goes to cover up what he does for a living is just hilarious. I also love his relationship he had with his sister. The whole older sibling bullying the younger one was great. Despite her teasing, you can tell she loves her little brother. It makes her sacrifice more meaningful. The ending might be the highlight of the episode. Goblin Slayer having this mental battle between his two personalities was so sad to watch. The softer side, hoping that the goblins have all disappeared, wanting to have a peaceful life was so sad to watch. His darker side almost seemingly wants there to be goblins, just so that he can slay them; and his paranoia keeps him from having a peaceful life. Even so, despite each persona being entirely different, they both want the world to be free of those wretched goblins. That “oh shit”, followed by that evil chuckle and “I told you”, sent me chills. He is either dead serious or bat-shit insane. Each episode keeps outdoing the previous one. I can’t wait for the next one. Honestly, the scene I am most excited for is the one when Goblin Slayer tells Cowgirl about the goblin hoard that is coming. It is one of my favorite scenes from the original. The way this show has established their characters, I have high expectations.

24:30 Holy crap I just realized, this is WHY LIZARD PRIEST HAS SO MUCH DAMN CHEESE WITH HIM IN WATER TOWN!! What a sly and clever callback to a gag they themselves made a couple episodes ago! xD

In the manga, I love every single one of the Blacksmith and GS interaction with one another, but this, THIS is somehow even better, where they both completely ignore what the other one says, and carry on having 2 different conversations.......

Been almost a year and Finally we gonna watch it. Now we gotta wait another year for the next episode.

I noticed something about Goblin Slayer’s voices. The angrier one seems to have a heavier echo, and more reverb, like it’s inside of his helmet, while the tired one sounds like it’s just a normal person talking from a little bit away

I never watched the anime or read the manga. But that moment when Goblin Slayer argued with himself about either finally resting or continuing to search for goblins only to finally find proof that goblins are still out there is heartbreaking. It's like the mission is never over for him. So peace and security is also not an option.

I really love how in the end it shows how crazy GS really is. And that laugh. He’s happy that the goblins are back.

Is anyone else disappointed that their response to GS going home wasn't, "He lives in a home?"

This is easily on par with SAO abridged, team four star, and the later seasons of yugioh the abridged series. Excellent production, great voice acting and it is currently on going which is a major plus. Can’t wait to see what you have coming up next. Keep up the great work.

I hope Goblin Slayer and Cowgirl have lots of kids and a happy retirement.

Wow, the end, just holy shit. I know the show i knew what was going to happen, but that inner monologue was ungodly good props to the voice over actor, and the script writer.

This is probably my third time watching this, but I only now connected the loincloth joke with the goblin wife adventure...

Poor Raoul. T'aint right. But I like how calm Gawblin Slayer is like without his outfit.

All the jokes aside, the drama in this abridged series feels more impactful than the real series. And that berserk music at around 28:17 is still haunting

43:18 this was supposed just to be a comedy show but that amount of character developing/seeking through his mind in just this few minutes is FREAKING INSANE, keep the good work Grimmjack that was a bunch of dead goblins/a bunch of dead goblins, perfect, 10/10, ultra combo, etc, etc, etc.

Abridged series are at their absolute peak when they sneak in surprisingly good characterization and a solid plotline along with the gut-busting humor. Goblin Slayer finding the goblin footprints at the end hit me much harder than it did in the original anime even though I knew it was coming and I'm genuinely hyped for the finale.

I weep for the zany subtitles. They elevated this series from a 10 to a 11.

Honestly, I'd really like to see, during the fight against the Goblin Lord, GS just DROP the craziness, the loud, boisterous joy of killing Goblins, and revert almost to how he is out of armor, or in canon. Just a moment of "You won't take my home again." A moment of pure, quiet rage focused solely on the Goblin Lord.
