Alex, I'm glad u finally got out of Utah!! Brother, don't go there again unless it's closer to $4 a mile or it's not worth it, as I'm sure u know now!! U could have grossed another 2k in those 2 or 3 days that got wasted!! I'm glad u are finally home. That's crazy I like to be home after a few days, like 3 at most!! Why don't u rock a tidy tank or aux tank in the truck?? I got a 110 gallon, and the distance i get between fill ups and difference in fuel cost saves me a ton of cash when I go to town that are cheap it helps the pocket book big time!!
@@Avankaurparmar Yeah I agree with you on the whole west coast. Not worth going unless it’s closer to $4 but that would be tough to get too. I do have a 60 gallon external fuel tank. Would never start this job without it. You’d be filling up too frequently.

I enjoy watching several of you hotshot RU-vidrs but I’m curious if you ever add up the hours you spend in the truck and divide those hours by the amount of money you bring in.
That’s kinda easy. Mostly of the hotshots guys and girls we stay in our truck. So if you go by weekly divide your gross by 168 (7 days in hours) and that would give you a rough estimate….. For example I made $6,090 last week( 7 days) $6,090 divided by 168 = $36.25 per hour. Again this is gross and of course I wasn’t all the 168 hours on my truck.
@@jeremybrea1910 the business is very interesting to me and I like to figure out what it takes to be profitable enough to do it. Trucks are very expensive and I’m sure good trailers are and then add in all your fuel, maintenance and insurance I would think it’s hard unless you just never come home.

@@alvinmann7675 Thank you Alvin! As long as you know how many calories you need, you will not out on weight. By the time I stop for the night, it’s late and I am in no mood to get any cardio done. I save all the workouts for my reset and when I go home.

Enjoy the week off! Three weeks straight on the road aint no joke. How difficult would you say itd be to try route yourself out and back home within 5-6 days? Would it mostly depend on where your starting location is? All asked with thought it could be done and still end the quarter of the year with a net gain.
@@JustinMettleMcMahan Thanks! Hard to say about routing because you never know where your load will take you and if you plan to go a certain way then you miss out on other good loads.
@@thechoznjuan6886 never replaced them. I do have a couple sticking up because the screws holding them down broke. PJ went cheap and didn’t put enough screws in the right places. I just need to get them screwed down but I never get around to doing that 🤣
@@carlosgonzalez4960 No. I don’t idle at night. I have a Milwaukee fan and have been for unfortunate to not be in super hot night weather. Every now and then I am but I may start the truck for about 10 min if it gets real bad. I wanted to get an AC system but there just isn’t a lot of room to keep everything in the truck.
What states are a absolute dead zone always I know Utah because I live there and I’m seeing that Florida is one for sure but where else I’m currently on the road now and have been out here for two weeks
@@naeerrichardson6757 To me anything from Colorado all the way west is a bad area. Florida is slow but not as bad as west. Really Midwest is my favorite area. I don’t go northeast anymore either.
