He has the invincible cheat on, pretty obvious, especially during the second last boss fight, which is the last in the first playthrough, where he purposely shows off forever.... blasphemy
Excuse me ? Ever heard of something called hitbox ? Search for it in Google. it is at the epic center of the ship which allows the player to make a very close evasions which looks like the bullet passed through the ship ( which is true ) but it didn't hit the hitbox which destroys the ship if the bullet touched it. FYI it happens with almost every modern shumps. Also on the whole run I was on purposely evading the bosses attacks to make the watchers enjoys a very difficult run. It took me about one year of practice to achieve what you see in this video. If you watched Pro Japanese players hardcore runs you'll think they all cheat. Play the game yourself then you'll find out that you can evade bullets by the side of the ship without being destroyed. If you're still not convinced i'll stream a live run showing you that it's possible for the ship to be destroyed if I was too close to the bullets enough to touch the hitbox & at the same time watching my controller buttons triggering to convince you :) You can already see in the video that I used a limit shield against DeltaTri the 4th boss which proves that if I truly cheated I wouldn't even need a shield.
If by the second-to-last one you mean starting at 6:07, I don’t see any point during that battle where he should have been hit by something. If you want to accuse him of toil-assisting or some such, that’s at least somewhat understandable, but he didn’t even need invincibility to do that! And if you mean the final battle, yeah, the hitboxes are a bit funny: the Vic Viper is a lot smaller than it appears, and the lasers can’t actually hurt you during much of the time they are visible.
@@aliultimate009so strange why Multiplayer mode in Gradius Collection was permanently removed? Multiplayer was an integral element for any side scroll shooting games like Gradius Gaiden.
@purwantiallan5089 Because PSP is a single console without a second controller. They could have used AD hoc party for online play but that would need the game to be reprogrammed to run online gameplay for it. Also it is STILL possible to play Gradius Gaiden 2 player mode (PSX) using PSP BUT with emulation. Or that you use Parsec app on PC and run Gradius Gaiden for the PSX through emulation with a second virtual controller from another PC.
thank you very much ^_^ glad for your enjoyment ^O^ i'm still thinking on doing another runs but i'm still practicing on it if i have time ^_^ hope that i can be sure to make more fun videos for my friends here ^_^ thanks for your visit and have a good day ^O^
Gotta love the music in this game. The boss music and game play is absolutely divine. Long live the magnificent Gradius series. Excellent boss rush. 5/5 "Destroy the core!"
2:17 *after parasite core destroyed* Parasite Core: ill give you some energy to fight Fachion B Death: *energy receive* im fully operational! Parasite core: Good luck..... X_X *dies*
Ship used: Falchion β Power Meter: x1 Speed up, Gravity Bullet Lv.2, No Option or Missile, x1 Limit Starting Point: Stage 8, Loop 8 Difficulty: Hardest The Gradius Series are such a Bullet hell Shooters...
And for fun, a breakdown of the bosses. *Laser Tetran* Difficulty - Meh. A fairly easy warm up, all things considered. His attack is super predictable. The semi-homing orbs can be a bother, but he's still easy. *Death Double and Parasite Core* Difficulty - Meh. Again, a simple boss. A bit of a step up from Laser Tetran, but nothing too overwhelming. Better to kill the core itself before attacking the Death Doubles, though. Those thin wire-lasers are surprisingly tough to dodge with the electric orbs the boss throws around. *Triple Core* Difficulty - ARGH. The first of three "Nightmare bosses" in this boss rush. These things are horrible. The triple-attack is horrible, the double-attack is horrible. They're easy to predict, but the randomness of the triple attack and the sheer bullet spam of the double-attack is a right nightmare. Once you kill two, though, the battle is basically over, as the single-attack is piss easy to dodge. Music change! *Deltatry* Difficulty - ARGH The second nightmare boss. On loop 1, he's nothing special. But on loop 2, he becomes a complete and utter spaz with his "laser-dash". Invincible egg-bombs are also not fun. He's still my favorite core boss in the series, though. *Juggler Core* Difficulty - Meh. I used to hate this guy as a kid. I have no idea why. He's really easy. Despite being called the "Juggler" Core, he doesn't really throw those spheres around moreso than he just... Shoots them forward. And then fires lasers in a very easy to dodge pattern. Probably one of the easiest bosses in this rush. They should have swapped Triple Core and this guy. *Neo Big Core* Difficulty - ARGH And the last nightmare boss. A complete monster. He's so goddamn _fast_ when he starts spamming those cube lasers. You almost want him to use the Death Ray and the mini-nukes. *Heaven's Gate* Difficulty - Lol. _This_ is the super hard loop-2 only boss? Come on... Neo Big Core was much more worthy of the "end boss" status than this idiot.
Thunder Cross is also made by Konami, it's a lot like Gradius (even with similar music) but you can position your Options, you start right where you die, and there's a lot more room to move around =D There's a playthrough of it on RU-vid where someone goes through all 7 stages and then the 1st 5 stages on Loop 2. Awesome game =)
@cedhead619 I wholeheartedly concur. I played lots of this ten years ago and it still bugs me that I couldn't finish it even on easy. Even if I couldn't beat it, it wasn't as frustrating as Gradius III (arcade) because no matter what it always felt like completing the game was POSSIBLE.
Tucker Krause i mean - when you know a certain strategy - you can use it against a certain boss - or using your previous or other strategies from other bosses to beat a certain boss :)
@aliultimate009 ejem, the Boss rushes in G2 and G3 had bosses from previous games(like G1 and Salamander in case of 2), and when you fought them the boss music from that game plays. I know this game is from 1997, please man.
I like the way you put it, yeah I enjoy your gradius videos... I am curious if the Gradius game I made had some non-random levels, would you be willing to "Lets play" them. Sadly I was cleaning out my subscriber list and was about to remove you, I'm glad I didn't ^0^ Thank
well this returns to you ^_^ who knows if you were like me you would play too long or short ^_^ well if it was like you're wasting your life then don't play too long if you're thinking on that way ^_^ and before i forgot .. i'll say this and will still that i'm making these videos for you're enjoyment .. not like most of pro players which they post videos thinking them selves too much -_- i'm a different person ^O^ the more you watch my videos the more i get happy because you're having fun ^O^
@EigenX7 it's very difficult to answer since Gradius series is still going (^^)U but if you've chosen among one of the Gradius games or directed to the selected history then i'll be able to answer your question ^_^
And just to clarify, I'm sorry if I came off as rude; I just like Succulla's combat style a bit more than yours, that's all. Please don't take offence to my comments; you're quite a decent Gradius ace yourself.
Sadly, I think it was never re-released, other than its arcade version... I play Thunder Cross 2, it is EXCELLENT! The bosses are cool the difficulty is average, so many people can play it and the music is awesome. I have (sadly) never played Thunder Cross 1.
XD thank you very much ^O^ well i only like the most successful fan made games but in only one condition ^_^ the maker of it should knows all secrets in all Gradius series bosses and stages strategies ^_^ and also on how the game get's more difficult ^_^ i think i'll choose you as the person to teach him about that ^O^ i'll try the best as i can to give you the best tips to make your game one of the best fan made games just like storm assault and GR3 ( the best Gradius fan made games ) ^O^
@EigenX7 if i'm not mistaken you have to clear the game or playing for certain hours clearing the game more than one time ^_^ if not then maybe you have to play on very hard on the first 2 loops which should unlock it X)
@EigenX7 then you have to clear stages one by one starting from latest stage you've reached in stage select then just only saving game the farther you go ( maybe works in easiest ) until you hit & clear loop 8 ^_^
ok ... then what if they were all doing the same thing like those 4 ships ( Vic Viper - Lord.B - Jade Knight - Falchion Beta ) ? what laser tetran meant is that it's impossible to change the idea that the rotation effect of his lasers can't do a thing against a fleet ^_^ so he is right ^_^ and if he were a real person he will say OF COURSE that since those 4 ships is facing him it's easily to be dodged but against a fleet it could be wrong in one condition if they don't do like those 4 ships ^_^
ok then ^_^ but to tell the truth if you want me to play EXACTLY like succulla i have what it takes to do it ^_^ if you want me to play in my usual style it won't be too difficult but i'm afraid that other players will not get excited when the bosses get killed quickly ._. that's why you see me in some of my other videos giving chances for the bosses to escape ^_^ but if you really wish for me to play just to destroy them quickly i'll try to do it ^O^
and to tell you something .. the japanese players life is different than us ... they're allowed in they're country to play for 1 hour only ... and they eat fish too much .. that's why they're very smart and strong in these games .. but me ? ... i'll show them that it doesn't depends on the life style .. it depends on the person ^O^
and that doesn't means that he can't get one ship if he used his lasers because it depends on the pilot ^_^ and don't forget it's a game XD you can make a bad ending or good ending because it just depends on the pilot experience ^_^
and the worst problem is that they don't reply to anyone comments that much .. they're like 10% of them on youtube which they play these crazy games as far as i expect -_-
Favourited, because of the video quality (audio and visual detail), but you only get 4 stars. Succulla plays a more aggressive game against these guys, and while you did a good job of taunting NeoBigCore (especially with that up-close shot while it was blasting its all-range laser), you let it self-destruct. Sorry, but I just find that it's a bitter pill to swallow.
for me the 4th ( Deltatry ) boss is the hardest XD i don't know why many people says it's hard -_- it's actually easy to time your moves against the 3rd boss ( Triple Core ) but the 4th boss is a way different story .. random attacks and lock on -_-
i'll make it more simple to understand it ^_^ the reason why the 3rd ( Triple Core ) boss is hard because i'm playing on the most suicide moves against it but seriously with no joke .. if i made it a speed kill .. the first time you see the boss appears after the first triangle formation .. they'll be dead XD .. because i've already tried to do a speed kill against them ^_^ ... that it's easier more than you expect that everyone can do it on loop 8 hardest in a flash XD
@GradianDarion300 i got it thankfully in Ps3 and cleared it XD it's cool but makes you bored quickly after you clear it cause it got repeated stages - but the good thing is you can play some classic stages in 3D modern Sonic and new stages with Classic Sonic ^^
@Scyr0cc0 who me ? O_o i've just did what i could and this is the result after a very long hard practice ^^U i can swear that anyone who truly wishes from his/her heart to be in this limit is just to practice with everything he/she got even after 100s of messes until he/she figures out the best techniques ^^
don't get me wrong because when i said ( and you tell succula is better than me ? ) i didn't mean i'm better ^_^ i actually meant that succula didn't even judge my strength ^_^
now i see what you mean ^_^ well from your last selected words in your last conversation i was confused that you know or not so i asked @_@ ... i didn't mean anything bad XD
seriously ? only for the video quality ? and you tell succula is better than me ? i'm not telling that i'm better but let me show you something which will keep you more cautions before you speak ^_^ check a video called ( Gradius Collection - Gradius Gaiden Boss Rush Loop 8 Hardest ( ULTIMATE BATTLE ) and see the results ^_^
but if it was 4 players it will be cheating XD you can master the game in a flash but i think that konami and Gradius team might agree to make it 4 players in one condition ^_^ they should do the 2 players rule ( limited option for each ship ) but if it was 4 players there should be no options because the 4 ships them selves are the options-like for player 1 XD
