In this video, I work out some challenging problems from an ASVAB/AFOQT mathematics knowledge practice test. In order to do well on the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) as well as the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT), you must be comfortable solving problems that are similar to the ones in this video.

hey grammar hero I just wanted to say thank you for the videos you post and the time you spend making content, I just finished taking my asvab for the second time and scored a 68. I went from a 19 (not studying the right content) to 68 in 3 months of studying your content and taking the practice tests. I showed my recruiter your page and they will be sending a lot more people your way. My advice for people having a hard time like I did at first is to watch every video and to study in sessions and do active recall until it becomes installed into you before you take the asvab. hello Grammar Hero, just wondering if the method i used for #2 would work on other problems like this: Since we were given the radius of 35km, i added 35+35 to get the diameter and got 70 for the diameter. I then multiplied 22/7x70/1 to get the circumference and = 1540/7 and divided and got 220.
@GrammarHero
@GrammarHero 3 года назад
Yes. As I mentioned, there are two formulas to find circumference: pi*d or 2*pi*r. No matter which one you use, you'll get the same answer. If you watch enough of my videos, you'll notice that I sometimes use the first equation, and I sometimes use the second equation. It's also worth noting that although there are two formulas to find circumference, there is only one formula to find the area of a circle: i.e., pi*r^2.

any # divided by itself = 1 (except 0) 5/5 =1 21/21 = 1 So a/a = 1 as well. 1 = 1/1 , so the number 1 gets distributed to both the numerator and the denominator

I used the elimination method to solve the system of equations. When you solve a system of equations using the elimination method, you have to multiply one or both equations by a constant to eliminate either the x or y variable.
