Comparing four of the biggest track-based racing games available on PS4 / PS4 Pro. Gran Turismo Sport Beta (PS4 exclusive), Project CARS (PS4, Xbox One, PC), DriveClub (PS4 exclusive), and Assetto Corsa (PS4, Xbox One, PC). Thanks. In fact, I already turned down the audio level for the 3 other games a bit in editing, in order to more closely match them to GTsport in this video. GTsport's audio level is just way lower by default compared to the rest.

Thank God Polyphony Digital improved the sound system of Gran Turismo. Sport is sounding amazing, while not the best in the racing market, it's hugely improved that the grass cutters from GT6.

The Porsche 911 sounded really good in its latest trailer, aside from the static shifting. I think they're using a better sound system than the beta in that trailer.

Driveclub still sounds crisp and looks really good. Some people see the game, being an arcade racer, as a downside, but it's what makes the game feel unique. Rather than trying to be the same old sim racer, it feels like a old school classic racer like Ridge Racer for example. I wish Evolution Studios was never shut down. The monthly updates to the game were always on point.

I Still Find DriveClub more appealing over any current racing line-ups , you seriously can see the difference in comparison, hell it even sounds more rich for crying out loud. Wish Sony hadn't let this studio go.

Bultaco Saturno does it matter that it's 30 fps? if you can see it than yes it does but i played it myself and you can't see that it actually is 30 fps

Stormer248 Listen bro, I'm cool with having lots of tracks made by the devs as long as they are good like in the gt series. the problem I had with driveline was that they weren't good tracks. the other problem I had was there wasn't much variety of cars and half of them you had to pay for. in an 80 dollar game I expect to have most to all of the game playable when I buy it. Driveclub is eye candy for kids. Assetto corsa is quality content for adults and PC is somewhere in between. Prove me wrong.

Wow! I'm very impressed how GTS stacks up especially coming from GT6 which I personally thought had horrible engine sounds. I still think Driveclub sounds the best but GTS and the others have that AMG V8 down. I do think GTS has really good exhaust pops and crackles which the others are lacking.

Have you played DriveClub? Honestly, people always bitching about 30/60 fps. The game runs brilliant. I haven't had so much fun in the last 5 years as with DriveClub.No shitty controls, no lach in response. Just brilliant.

Gustavo Lopes Evangelista Assetto Corsa hands down beats out every one of those games. To fully experience it you need a wheel and the graphics may not be the best but no game other game can capture the feeling of assetto corsa. Unlike driveclub, project cars, and gt beta the cars are completely how they would be in real life. You can experience the understeer of a front wheel drive or the body roll from a heavy car. It's amazing Personally I love driving the BMW M4, 911 R, and Ferrari F40.

What does that have to do with graphics! We are comparing the GRAPHICS in this video, not the physics. Driveclub wins easily fair and square when it comes to graphics, and Assetto Corsa is a clear loser fair and square. Deal with it.

Bendik Trøan Wiig Can't agree on that. Assetto Corsa has way better graphics in terms of functionality. Project CARS and Drive Club both have over ride in terms of graphical overhaul, meaning they both have exaggerated effects only to cover flaws on other fields. Like a woman with too much make-up, she's still unattractive below.

It's not magic, it's pretty easy to understand. DriveClub was built for graphics at 30fps and more arcadey physics (easier cpu load). The other three prioritised 60fps and simulation physics, and didn't spend all their time on developing eye candy.

Actually this is how it should be, the more arcade games usually have the better graphics, but right now, GT should be way lower on the list and AC can't be listed because it supports mods, so we need to say "Asseto Corsa with this/these graphical mods

The inside sound in Driveclub us not realistic...if you don't agree you've never heard an AMG GT3 from inside...outside it's really good. In this video we compare sounds, no physics etc. (In physics there can be just one winnet xD)

I like GT Sport's graphics, but I think it's odd how the sound of the exhaust outside the car sounds more like the inside-the-car sound. Project Cars has the same issue in this video (sometimes not so much on other cars).

Gabriel Souza ac has 2d crowds and trees. horrible track detail levels and ps2 looling shadows. the only good thing about it is the lightning. moreover it got no night time and rain effects. the engine is simply not built for anything graphically advanced. however it is no surprise since ac was built by a super small gamestudio with only 30men in the team when they started working on it

here's my personal oppinion between these games, The game with the most points takes first, ect. Each game with 1st gets 3 points, each game with second gets 2 points, each game with 3rd gets one point, and each game with 4th gets no points Physics 1-Asseto Corssa 2-Project Cars 3-Driveclub 4-Gran Turisimo Sound, as in most realistic 1-Asseto Corssa 2-Project Cars 3-DriveClub 4-Gran Turisimo All out graphics 1-DriveClub 2-Project Cars 3-Asseto Corssa 4-Gran Turisimo when I add up the points Asseto Corssa-7 points DriveClub-6 points Project Cars-5 points Gran turisimo- 0 points Podium 1.Asseto Corssa 2.Project Cars 3.DriveClub 4.Gran Turisimo this comment is unbiased, because I have only played each of these games one time.

Jawan Meizu it is better in it's own way, the game is kinda different, shift 2 was a quite arcady for a racing simulator, or it was not a simulator at all, everybody is really picky with racing sims now, and from my experience everybody seems to hate all of them. this guy says this is bad, that guy says that is bad.

Yea, PCars is better than shift 2 but you can still feel the "Flootyness" from the wheel which feels like driving on ice at all times. Plus it did not help that the game was launched with massive bugs... I know most of it was fixed but there are still some in there. Tire wear in some cars for example. Game is 2 years old already... :(

The graphics on GT Sport look so much much better than assetto corsa and project cars. Driveclub looks good, but it's not a sim and runs at 30fps. Polyphony is looking good.

I am very impressed that how GTS have a huge improve of the sound system, and the graphic looks really nice to me as well. The only downside of GTS is that the physic, especially the crash physic need a lot of improvement to the game. On the other hand, AC is just too loud and I barely hear the detail of the sound, which is unfortunate because is not a bad game at all. The physic and graphic are ok to me and I do not have any complain about it. Drive Club seems to be the one that makes the player feel more excitement for the game: the sound make the car have more aggressive feeling to the players. Plus the graphic is really damn good just behind GTS. Project Car has the best physic so far, and the details of the track is the second best. The sound is mediocre, not really good but not really bad: is right in the middle. Cut in short, GTS has the best improvement to the game, and Drive Club fulfill the excitement for the players. Project Car gives player the best driving experience,

in graphics GI( Global Ilumination): GTS > Drive Club > Project Cars (very bad God Rays implementation) > Asetto Corsa Shadows and Ambient Oclussion: Drive Club > GTS > Project Cars > Asetto Corsa Scenery design and vegetation: GTS >= Drive Club > Project Cars > Asetto Corsa Textures: GTS = Drive Club >Project Cars > Asetto Corsa physics: Project Cars > GTS > Asetto Corsa > Drive Club (This game for its arcade nature this is its weak point, The only good thing is having physical behavior of water on the windscreen and floor but these are effects but does not affect the behavior of the car in the race) Sound: GTS >>>> Project Cars > Asetto Corsa > Drive Club Gran Turismo Sport has the most realistic audio of the three, due to the fact that it has the wind in mind and how it affects the sound, which makes it more realistic, another thing to keep in mind is that both Drive Club (arcade ), Project Cars and Asetto Corsa has a sound too makeup I have been reviewing how a Mercedes Benz GTS AMG sounds and with the respective games and this does not sound or close to what the real sounds, it has too much makeup (I imagine to impress more , But by sounding harder does not mean that it is realistic)

Well in driveclub the mercedes doesn't sound like mercedes but the graphics are awesome. How the car turns in Project CARS looks very weird. I have nothing to say of gt sport, the games not even ready yet. But in my eyes the Assetto Corsa looks tempting, i should really buy the game, heard good things about it. Sorry for my bad english :)

PC sounds good, it's loud, raw, gritty, it doesn't disappoint. DC is ok but I don't think it's as organic sounding as either PC or AC. AC is pretty damn good in the sound department and only fall behind in graphics. It's Mercedes Biturbo sound was spot on. It sounded airy and fluttery like there's water in the exhaust. That's exactly how they sound. GT sounds.....what sound....I didn't hear anything. Lol nah they've improved but not even close to making it sound raw and gritty like the sound is coming from the car you're sitting in. It sounds so far away.

Honestly Assetto Corsa and Project Cars look better. In the other two the graphics maybe are better, but in Assetto and Proyect Cars the driving experience is much better.

Drive club is need for speed, compared to even Assetto Corsa environment feels more real. Gt sport looks amazing but the sound still reminds me of playing gt3

4th gran turismo - too muffled for me. 3rd drive club - better engine sound no background, and too much tire noise. 2 assetto corsa - fantastic engine notes, lacking other background effects. 1 project cars - not as good engine notes as A.S. but best overall effects. All test done with amplified sound system.

I also like the ridge Racer and need for speed series... which i am a big fan of....ride on my friends....we can speed as much as we want.... but please keep it in the video games.....not in real life..... because we have to care and look out for our sisters and brothers.... everywhere.

While the Gameplay is embarrassing, Driveclub, graphically and audio wise is leaps and bounds ahead of its time, such a beautiful game. GT sport don't look too shabby either. Assetto Corsa is still a very nice looking game and all but it don't compare to the others and personally, from playing PCars on a 4k monitor I thought it looked amazing to be quite honest.

Assetto Corsa takes the cake for this comparison. Generally, all racing games fail completely to represent GT3 cars accurately in their sound. It seems like they have either never been to a real GT race or could not be bothered to make more than one sound for different cameras. The straight-cut gear whine is way too over pronounced. You would only hear that inside the cockpit, or outside on Porsche 911 GT3 cars. Outside, you would never hear any gear whine. For the outside camera, all GT cars realistically sound like 8 litre V8 big block muscle cars, with the Bentley sounding like a Harley Davidson, and the BMW Z4 like a chainsaw and leafblower strapped together. In-game the cars sound way too weak in comparison. Assetto Corsa is the only game so far that manages to portray that recognizable v8 roar that GT3 cars have.

GT Sport sounded the best in my opinion, but Driveclub has the best graphics, but we all know why we play this type if game: Realistic racing simulation, and I think Project Cars won in that area. Slightly mad studios felt that Need for Speed Shift, as good as it was, still did not revolve enough around simulation. Hence, Project Cars.

Ignacio Romero, HAHA.... no. GT has no weather engine, and no destruction engine, it is way more an arcade game than a simcade, sorry to tell you the truth. And I know that PC is a simcade, no need to try and take me on that

Hey fella, mind if I pick the old brain for a second? I wonder why NO racing games, new or current ever have a Pinto in them! I tell ya what, I have a Pinto which I call Bertha(She purrs like a kitten and is as able is and ox, and classy as Julia Roberts ) and she goes 1 to 60 in a FAST 64 seconds. I'd love to hear your opinion on this disgrace. Nice video bromiester!
