Since gravity is just a theory, a better idea would be to build large U shaped tunnels. Preferably next to a large body of water. Drop the vehicle down the tube & flood behind. Once the vehicle is at the bottom of the U, the water will begin to lift it out. This would cover vast distances & not impede life above. Most importantly it would not violate what we currently know.
