Even though it still stings for us from what happened, at the end we got the last laugh with the Seahawks not winning the super bowl and they have something that stings to them, Wilson throwing the ball at the 1 yard line lol
@@iaintwritebacktho7230 you know what's funny about your 12th man flag. Put a dash in between the 12 and you get your super bowl record. 1-2. Hehe how about that
This one is honestly upsetting. This team should've won a championship, I watched this game out of market and they cut the broadcast for how much of a blowout it was!
the only real reason this season didnt end in a ring was rodgers tearing his calf in tampa bay. otherwise they handle seattle in that game instead of it being close, nobody could beat them and rodgers on 1 leg did it if an onside kick is caught
To me this was the last great packer team. This was a team that had players that did really well and we should have played in the super bowl against the Patriots. Imagine Tom Brady vs Aaron Rodgers. Back to this team, Cobb was awesome, he earned his first pro bowl this year, the play action deep pass to Jordy was unstoppable, Aaron won MVP, the defense wasn't bad if you compare it to the 2016 team when we went to another championship game. Clay Matthews had double digit sacks that season. We had Julius peppers. That was to me, the last packer team that was great and I think Aaron would have beaten Tom with a torn calf
yep. I really think the 2014 team was probably our most balanced team. Great offense obviously, Rodgers on fire, Oline had a good year, Lacy was good, and on d it wasnt a great defense but definitely one of the better ones we've had. Definitely was the last good defense we had. I really think the team after that terrible Demoralizing NFC championship game collapse never really recovered afterwards.
Interesting fact: Julius Peppers had more yardage combined on his pick sixes that year than the entire Chiefs WR group on receiving TDs did that year. It was because not a single chiefs WR scored a TD on offense
Even as a Minneapolis born Vikings fan, the 2014 Green Bay campaign was must watch TV. This was absolute peak Rodgers, Jordy and Clay. This squad was one of the best to never get a ring in my mind. The '14 Packers may actually be the best overall team if I had to pick just one from any decade of NFL. The 2014 playoffs was also one for the books. The Cowboys/Lions wild card game, the Cowboys/Packers divisional, the championship game and then of course the goal line interception to win the superbowl. All of those games were edge of your seat, hard fought games with controversial calls and fluky plays. The 2014 NFC Championship game is still one of the greatest travesties in NFL history, even as a Vikes fan. Just an utter collapse at the end with flukiness that prevented us from getting Rodgers vs Brady in the Superbowl with both of them in their prime.
I remember I went with my parents to a family friend’s house and I was watching this game in the basement. I got so hyped when they absolutely decimated the eagles.
I was at my friends house here in Indy watching it before we left to go to the Pat's Colts game. Friend is a big pats fan and had an extra ticket for me. I remember getting downtown going to a bar before the game watching the rest of it was really happy obviously
I remember vividly smiling and saying all the things that would need to go wrong for the Packers to fall to the seahawks. I was so confident. Until it all fell apart.
I was at this game with my brother and a good friend... after the game we went to the Oval Office in green bay where we hung out with Eddie Lacy who showed up with Brandon Bostick... we were chattin about his pinball touchdown run which was INSANE... such a memorable day...
I can’t watch that Seahawks game to this day, I remember hanging out with my dad and watching the Packers just blow them out early and I was so sure and confident we were going to the Super Bowl…but then little by little the tide turned and when finally the game was over I remember I was so absolutely upset because this team was unstoppable all year and that beginning of that game made it seem as if not even in the Super Bowl, when we made it, nobody would be able to stop us. I remember sitting out back with my dad and step brother and bitching for over an hour just smoking cigarette after cigarette because how terribly a great season fell apart in just a quarter. It was made even tougher cause I believe this year we had beaten the Patriots midway through the season pretty confidently so if we faced them in the Super Bowl I felt it was going to be another solid win.
Amazing how good Rodgers looked with a receiver that would take the top off a defense like Jordy. No knock on Adams, he's good as hell, but having a guy like that clearly made a difference. Edit: Also why did they ever let Hyde go and some of those decent defensive pieces go. Fun video to see but pretty depressing too.
I’ve heard some QB coaches say that it lowers risk of knee injuries if they get hit low or rolled on after the throw. Leg can’t snap when planted if you never plant.
The 2014 packers score 50+ 2 games in a row 55 on the bears in week 10. 53 on the eagles in week 11 this was a really good packers teams and a really good 2 games for the packers
This is the sort of game that makes 1 Super Bowl so hard to swallow. I wonder if the Pack can climb back to some glory or if we’re heading into another dark 30 years? Either way I love my team, I bleed green and gold. Go Pack Go!
I feel this upcoming season will feature our best defense since 2010. We have heavily invested in the defense for years with free agent signings and draft picks. At some point, it will come together and actually happen and I feel the 2019 season will. I know people are talking about how they didnt draft a receiver. I was hoping they would but it is fine because there have always been packer receivers that develop and become stars. Jordy Nelson, davante Adam's, randall Cobb, James Jones, Donald driver, and others that have gone through what scatling and st. Brown are going through. As long as those twos chemistry with Aaron is vastly improved, this reciving core the next 2 to 3 years will be like 2011
Packers may have a bounce back year but it won't be the same like 2016 and before. Rodgers is getting old and injury prone. Rodgers literally brings the Packers hope at a Super Bowl. I don't think the Bears will let them dominate like they have before. Bears will probably win the North this season.
Brandon bostick onside kick, Clinton dix not batting down the 2 point conversion, McCarthy not going for it on 4th down at the 1 or 2 yard line and elected to kick field goals
Green Bay is America's team. There may be more Cowboy fans on a given year but across the nation I have personaly seen more Green Bay fans . the real way to prove my point is thought is Green Bay is the only team allowed to leap into the fans after scoring. The only with an exemption.
2 things, 1 we're the only team that's owned by the city, and not by a single owner. 2, we represent small town america (100k pop city), so our city has a lot in common with small towns/cities across America who don't like the big city atmospheres across the nation.
Also add that Green Bay Packers fans are the most likely to "Pack" stadiums on the road and occasionally make it 50/50 like we just did to the undefeated Cardinals which we just beat!
Man I missed this Rodgers and offensive players like every time Rodgers looked up some one was open. If the defense played like this plus the d from the bills this season. We would be great
I’m not sure if I just don’t see it. You should put the final game of 2013 up. Where Rodgers returns, after his first collar bone injury. The infamous Cobb end of game touchdown.
Glad we still have him, he's a franchise player. Whenever people say Davante Adams in the future, it'll be synonymous with the Green Bay Packers! Like Jordy Nelson and Aaron Rodgers. Sure liked Micah Hyde as well.
My idea of a dream Packers team? Aaron Rodgers at QB, Eddie Lacy and Ahman Green as RBs, a solid offensive line, Andrew Quarless and Brandon Bostick the TEs and Randall Cobb, Davonte Adams, Jordy Nelson and Greg Jennings as the receivers.
This was Green Bay's. I still be believe in my heart that this was truly the best Packer team of the decade. We had that fucking NFC championship in our fucking palms and we fucking blew it oh god the memories are coming back oh god oh fuck
I remember this game because my uncle is an eagles fan and he was willing to pay so we could go. 17 and enjoying the game while my uncle was soured up lol
As a packers fan watching any game of the 2014 year hurts. Just knowing how good we were, and to not go to the super bowl because a dumbs mistake made by Brandon bostick. :((((((
