Nice! The reset isn't as common as it once was so I think you're okay to hide it a bit more than I did. I haven't had to reset in many months now since the latest updates.

Hi Chris! Initially yes I did have those issues but there have burn firmware updates which have resolved all of those problems. I haven't had to unplug the unit in quite some time whereas before I had to do it like once every other month.

If I recall it was like $500 or so. Best money I've spent on this car 🤣.

Sorry if I'm not understanding correctly, but do you mean the bottom portion of the screen is hard to tap on?

I don't believe screen mirroring is an option, but you could just install whatever app your are using (teams? Skype?) on that system. Note is has no camera so someone wouldn't be able to see you. But the call part of it should work.

Hi there. I'm not familiar with the G37 but if the factory interface is touchscreen then I don't see why this wouldn't work. Factory hands free still works just like before but you lose the USB connection in the center console as this replaces that. However, the GROM unit itself has two USB ports, so you would simply plug into that instead. Hope that helps!

FstLaneUkraine see that’s why I’m confused. No trim level of the g37 comes with a touch screen.

@@xStaySkilledx it may still work using the dial. You'd have to confirm with grom though.

xStaySkilledx - #Infinite Actually every Infiniti G37 with factory navigation has an oem touch screen. You can still do it on non nav cars

I own a 2009 G37 with navy and it is touch screen. Others in the g37 Facebook group have done this and it works on our cars

They sure do! All it does it change the ipod input to this. Everything else works just like factory.

It does, but I don't have an iPhones to test with but I imagine it works the same way as Android Auto. Plug in your phone to the USB port and Bobs Yer Uncle 😉.

No, you need a USB cable Leo from my experience.

Apple CarPlay is now wireless. GROM is working on wireless Android Auto. For now, that's wired.

Hey man. Assuming your navigation screen is at least like 6.5", yes, it is very readable. I don't have the best eye sight (15 years of working IT will do that) but don't wear glasses and I have no issues. Same thing for Waze. Very readable.

FstLaneUkraine good to know man, thanks for getting back to me. Yes I do have the standard size which I think it is 6.5. The only issue with the GROM is I have to install it by placing it in the glove compartment. Sorry about your eyesight though. To be honest; I am stuck between the Tesla style screen and the GROM. The Tesla style screen has some mixed reviews. I guess in a few months will find out when the whole pandemic thing is over. Been trying to get the Tesla style headunit but nobody picks up the phone. Same issues with the GROM.

I'd go GROM. The Tesla screen is notorious for being underpowered and laggy. Good luck...either way, enjoy!

FstLaneUkraine yeah the GROM has some really solid reviews. You are right about the Tesla screen, because there are so many different brands that make the screen. Apparently a second generation of the screen has been released that boots up faster. I was thinking about it until some dude contacted me and said avoid them. The beauty of the GROM device is you can get to keep everything in your car. Where did you place the GROM in your case? If it’s in the glove compartment wouldn’t it heat up overtime because of the closed space?
