I had to laugh at your comment about some people saying I am not trimming and i am still producing loads of muscadines. My first year I made muscadines and did not prune. My second year i made tons of muscadines and did not prune again. I thought I thought I knew more than all of those nurseries and experienced growers!😂 My third year all I had was leaves. NO MUSCADINES! I have been pruning ever since.
Been in South Carolina 30 plus years born in Germany grew up in Astoria Queens. in early 1971 the building we lived in was owned by old Italian immigrants. They had a vineyard in their backyard and had imported grape plants from the old country. Went back last year grabbed some of the vines and took them home to S.C and got 2 of them growing. So I tuned into you to learn. Got them in pots and their taking off.
Just started my tiny muscadine vineyard in San Antonio. In the last three months, my vines have doubled in size. Hopefully they make it through our hot summer. Thanks for the info!
I have been watching your channel couple of days. Very neat vine yard. I have been planning to buy from Isons. Now I am confident to buy and grow grapes this year after watching your channel. Thank you.
I bought a house last June with 5 acres. There's lots of fruit trees and other stuff on the property. Most of the plants beyond the grass were neglected for a few years before I bought the property.
I knew when you said said you were talking about muscadines that it wouldn’t be a short video. You are too passionate about them to keep it short. Great video, great explanations, Shane
i really like your approach to growing things. Grow it the way that works for you, its true, everyone has a different approach to things and different needs, so yes just find what works for you.
