Thank you for taking your time in order to publish such long and informative videos. I have a passion for shoes just like you and I am always trying to learn more about the different brands and hopefully give them a try at some point!

My pleasure. I hope it’s helpful. I’m only sad I had to upload in 540P instead of 720 because RU-vid appears to have a restriction at 5GB. After trying to upload about a dozen times I had to try something different. 😀. Tier three only has 19 shoes so I think the future will be easier.

Love how you separated each brand in tiers! I know this would be tough to do but it would be interesting if you made a video of which 3 brands per tier you’d buy for life based off of quality, comfort, bang for buck etc. Basically if you could only pick 3 brands per tier for life to purchase which ones would they be hmmm 🤔

Thank you for recording this, very interesting to see you compare shoes, since you actually have so many to really see and experience the differences. So a question for you: Which would be your favourite 3 brands in this tier 2 range, and why?

Antonio Meccariello, Enzo Bonafe and Crockett and Jones. AM has a wide variety between hand welted and machine welted and actually has three ranges, Aurem... a bespoke quality RTW, Argentum (which I have) which is very high quality and is split into rtw/MTO and handwelted lines, and Aeris an entry level line. He’s a very small operation so be prepared to wait unless you find your size in stock. Some are surprised this isn’t Tier 1. If the judge was quality or just the handwelted /Aurem ranges it would be. Enzo Bonafe is all handwelted and is a very high value ratio for what you get. Classic Italian styling and great quality at a very reasonable price. These are really really nice shoes for $600. They’re hard to find in stock though so either you’re joining a GMTO or you’re paying the premium for a MTO. Either way unless you’re lucky you’re waiting. Crockett and Jones is you’re full service shoe and boot maker. They’re factory made but exceptional quality. The Handgrade pair I have is very very nice but also close enough to the mainline in quality that I still shop the mainline for value. If you buy from a UK dealer you can sometimes get fantastic deals and save the VAT and import duties because they are below the threshold. There are many shoes though only available direct, especially in the Handgrade line.

And this doesn’t take away from the other fantastic brands in this range, but if it’s only three... I have to choose. I might think differently tomorrow. It’s that close.

@@wishoeguy thank you for the reply. I was sure you were going to pick Antonio Meccariello and Bonafe. I agree, what I have seen so far from Antonio looks AMAZING and is on my to buy list. I heard that Enzo has amazing shoes and this convinced me to try them in the future. I'm surprised that you chose crocket&jones tho...I have a pair, and I'm happy with them, but I never considered them to be that impressive. I don't notice much difference between c&j and carmina (both similar upper and lining, similar quality). I was hoping to see yeossal(i know that you didnt receive them yet) or oct. tenth in the top three as they look amazing in pictures, lasts look awesome, as well as sole work looks incredible. How come you chose c&j over those two chinese brands?

I chose CJ because of selection. The quality of the hand welted lines looks impressive but the heart of the truth will be how the shoes are in 5-10 years and we don’t fully know that yet because they’re new. All signs are positive though.

Based on pricing list at tier 3. I’d rate the quality BBB. The leathers are about the same as you’ll see in Loake 1880 line.

Tom Ford had most of their leather soled shoes with a waist thinner than the heel as the maccariello’s do. I don’t know who actually made those throes though.

what kind of boot shoe tree is that on those Alden suede split toes with brass eyelets, I've never seen a shoe tree like that but it looks great.

It’s a boot tree I found on AliExpress during the pandemic while Woodlore was experiencing a shortage.

Interesting video with a lot of very good information, unfortunately made nearly unwatchable by the constant hunting by the auto-focus/zoom on the camera used. Please lock the focus on the camera next time, as this is headache inducing as-is. Use a second camera for detail shots, instead of trying to use autofocus - doing so will make your videos look much more professional...

This is my first year on the channel so I’m not sure. I will have to see how it goes. I will incorporate the shoes into shoe battles and brand reviews. I continue to acquire new brands and will have to update them. If you check my Pinterest I have all my shoes in the four tiers. I’m also building a story archive on IG.
