I believe having a french son-in-law is a terrible nightmare for anyone, i know someone who's gonna have a french son-in-law in a year or so and i don't think the prospect of having one seems to be pleasant...
Can someone explain to me why do Sol and Ky hate each other? For a fact I know Ky is stronger than Sol. But I still don't understand. Also, can someone also explain how is Dizzy Sol's daughter? Forgive me I only found out about guilty gear this year.
I remember getting to this part of the story and just thinking "He knew the whole time he was raising his grandson, he just didn't want to think about it".
that's what happens when you realize you married you're rival's daughter and Sol doesn't want to talk about for that obvious reason and the other reason is simply cause he doesn't really know how to talk to dizzy let alone tell her he's her father and would rather keep things that way.
@@jacobkern2060 A lot of fighting game rivalries I know come from family issues. Besides Sol and Ky, the other ones I know are Jin and Kazuya (and back then Heihachi and Kazuya), Ragna and Jin, Kitana and Mileena, Nina and Anna, the list goes on.
I think the best part in this entire thing is Jack-0s "I think I'm qualified to answer that." Line. Considering she's at least half of Dizzy's mom and all.

Oh yeah, I thought there was a "waiting" in there too but there isn't. The brain fills the missing words if you read it fast enough I guess. It's like one of those mind tricks, like the text and color ones.
The best part is how equally distressing they find it. It isn’t a ‘hahaha’ one of them holds over the other, it’s like they’re both in agreement that they find it horrible

Well I m not sure Dizzy is biological daughter. Dizzy was born from Justice who was based on Aria's DNA. As a gear, it wouldn't be strange that Justice manage to create Dizzy by herself. So technally Sol and Aria aren't related to Dizzy. I understand that due of strong romantic feeling of Aria and Sol, It can be assumed Sol and Dizzy have father/daughter status even with the lack of blood relation. However in truth Sol isn't linked to Dizzy as she is a a daughter of a clone of Sol's Lover. But in my mind I totally approve that Sol will be a good father for Dizzy
WhlteShadow there is two possible reason : first Aria was pregnant of Sol when she was cloned and cloning allows somehow Justice to also have a child. Second Justice was based on Aria which is human. Since gear couldn't reproduce, Justice uses her leftovers human gene to create Dizzy. Maybe there is a good explanation on the next Game
Odds are Aria was pregnant with Dizzy before being turned into Justice, and being used as the foundation for that Gear resulted in the fetus mutating into a half Gear.

I love how Sol tries to quiet both Sin & Jack'O to stop Ky from freaking out yet Ky is the one to say it out loud😂😂😂😂😂 Also it's hilarious that Ky has known about the Sol & Justice's relationship, and Dizzy being Justice's daughter but never put the pieces together until this scene😂

In most cases there is no real difference between in laws and mortal enemy either way you still try to kill one another. The semantical difference is that while a mortal enemy will usually stop with physical and psychological torture at the moment of your death in laws won't even give you the courtesy of finishing you off they'll just immasculate and torture you to the point that you wish you were dead and come back for another half month of hell around the time of the next holiday. Also unfortunately attempting to kill an enemy normally isn't frowned on nearly as often as attempting to kill an in law. Trust me I've tried and it ends with you sleeping on the couch for the next couple of weeks.
All of the Valentines in the Guilty Gear story (the first Valentine, Ramlethal, Elphelt, Jack-O') are genetic descendants (modified clones) of Aria, making them technically Dizzy's mothers and Sin's grandmothers as well. Sol has a rather extended family now thanks to the actions of the Universal Will.

The person he hated at one point, became a rival with, and now considered a friend is his father in-law. Full circle, funny how Sol saved his late mentor long ago from a vicious gear and became and founder of the holy order knights. R.I.P. Kliff. Ky now looks at his previous encounters with Sol differently. All the while Dizzy low key knew. Lol
I don't know what's worse Ky realizing that Sol is his father in law or Sol knowing full well that Ky railed and is still railing his own daughter... Either way, Noontide/No Mercy intensifies
i love that the shadows darken when he realizes. i also love the janky looking animation for cutscenes that really brings the whole thing together EDIT: and johnny asking who won. thats great too

Wait, if Dizzy is Sol's daughter, does it mean that Ky married and fucked his own sister without even knowing it? But judging by look on his face, he realized it the exact same moment he realized the connection between him and Sol.
There are so many little things I love about this scene. Like when Johnny turns his head to listen, as if to say... "Oh, shit. This is getting interesting."
But, Sol is generally a louder man than Ky, who tends to speak in an even, almost monotonous sort of voice even when angry. So for Ky to reach the volume he's at is about as much of a difference as Sol to reach his volume, in which case quantity would be more or less the same. But that's only if you thoroughly examine the results.

im rewatching this and realizing that sol already knew all this and just didnt say anything… i just know he was seething whenever sin called him “old man” not knowing sol is his grandfather
Sol is the Father of Dizzy, Father-in-Law of Ky, Grandfather of Sin. Be happy that this family ain't that bad as JoJo's bloodline, that shit's more confusing.
