100% true. I always thought they make games as well and thry never let u down. I pre ordered the game after completing the demo. Very good game so far. I would probably buy a physical copy, even though I decided to give up and buying physical games somewhat , because of the clutter.
I panic-bought Gato Roboto a minute before the sale ended, and I'm SO glad I did! It's a mini-Metroidvania gem, with a really cool atmospheric synthy soundtrack So Devolver are in my good books, this is defo on the wishlist
I do love Devolver and normally buy the games day 1. But i agree the last few games have not peak my interest. Gunbrella brings me back to kitana zero , my friend pedro and ape out of Devolver. Great review and i think ill buy this game soon , after starfield , mk1 and baten 1/2 remaster .
Downloaded the demo last night when I saw it had been full released. Safe to say I’ll be buying the full game asap, demo sucked me well and truly in. Can tell it’s going to be a proper twisty turny story. Great review as always lads 💙🙏
In 2023, controls in 2d scroller CANNOT be "little fiddly". There is too many great examples for devs to make it great. Will wait for a "little" discount then 😂
Thank you for the settings info, i did not like the grainy texture in the demo but the audio was off putting for me. Great game, hard for me to put down but there is something with the sound effects that broke my immersion and ill wait for a sale.
I bought it last week accidentally pre-ordered it. Already bought Gato Roboto long ago and loved it. For anyone that wants a concise and super solid Metroidvania with a unique pixel art style in black and white (unless you change the theme settings) then I highly recommend Gato Roboto. Anyways I finally got to play this game after midnight on Thursday and I am loving it so far. Great mechanics, the shooting feels good, the umbrella is really fun to fly up and float up with, the world is well built, music and sound quality is top notch, and it strikes a really unique balance with vibes between Hotline Miami in it's stylized over the top 2D gore and the fun yet hushed tones of a game like Professor Layton. This will most likely be in my top 3 games of 2023 indie or otherwise. Just fantastic so far. I'll see how I feel after I beat it but I have a strong feeling I'll be running this one several times before it's all said and done.
You guys should review gravity oddity. It just released on switch and no-one is talking about it and it only has one review on steam. It’s developed by only one person and it’s actually quite fun.

Gotta say, been playing for awhile, hella giving me Katana Zero vibes. At least the play style. Like you want to move a lot and shoot. Only difference between both is you have more lives in this then Katana Zero one life.
Hello Glenn hello Mark it's me Jimmy I downloaded the Demo First then we'll see I like the shotgun in it well the umbrella it blows in the pieces I like that the blood reminds me of a broforce I have the game I just haven't played it Glenn Mark you know me I got like 5,000 games I haven't played in one of them yet I started I think blazing beaks and that was it I think and I think Gunslinger a little bit of that ah I'm still out of it man too old now

I played the demo and I found myself really enjoying it for some reason it really reminded me of katana zero in a few ways Which I know is also devolver. I may pick it up to play thru
This game looks like a fun run n gun. I keep hearing stuff about the new switch not having backward compatibility.. i one of the reasons I picked up a switch was how compatible the DS family was over the years. If the new switch can't play the old carts ... I'm out.
@@InnerRise I can't recall what channel. I heard it on.. Then a few months back there was an article from Nintendo America talking about taking the new switch in a whole new direction. Although I didn't think much of it until I watched what I mentioned previously. I really like it to have the backward compatibility.
Well that was a very dry review! Played the demo, love the art style, music, story and fluidity of the game. Price point is on the money. My backlog is Jammed with games I’ve not played, do I need another one, hell YES!! 😊
After playing the demo I got bored after a few minimal and I couldn't even complete the demo. I'm sure the game has a audience for it but it's not for me.
I know this game has gotten so much hype but it just looks so stupid to me. Never understood the hype on this one. If you are someone who is hyped for this game, I hope it is what you wanted it to be.
