Nicely done video. Though one question, how long should it take to compile? Seems like it's taking forever. Says "Compiling...Please Wait....Files for ssh_bringback copied successfully!" Is it done with compiling all files or not? Update: had a bunch of options selected, then reduced it to the basics you had chosen in the video and it finished in seconds. It works pretty well. Though the usb port doesn't quite provide enough power if doing anything other than simply trying to recharge your phone (at least for Android). Thx.

I have a m6 2016 but as far as i know you need to have a usb unit that is compatible in your car and not all Mazda have it otherwise it wont work or am i wrong?

Buddy it worked 💪 you have to restart the mazda infotainment system every now & then as it sometimes doesn't connect to anroid Auto. But it works 100% after that. I'm impressed

Do you have trouble running google maps and spotify in the background? Mine works but the audio is stuttering very badly, but once I switch the screen to spotify the music is fine.

This actually worked! I'm loving the AA! I did every step by step instructions you did in the video. At first I thought I bricked it after using AA for the first time. I turned everything off while AA was running. I double tapped the Start button, and I could not go pass the default menu and everything froze. Keep in mind I have yet to turn the engine on the whole time since I installed AA. Then waited about 20 mins because I was doing research to how to uninstall and go back to factory settings. Came back to my car and turned the engine on and everything was back to normal! AA worked perfectly with the knob, Google assistant works with car voice promt button, and the back button worked in the menu for Google maps, Waze, Pandora, Google Music and I'm sure on Spotify as well. Keep in mind you have to keep your phone plugged in to the car the whole time while using AA via USB port. I did not know about that part.

I did have one question...Is this correct? {3:06} "..if it (version) starts with 59. it needs to be OLDER than the 502 point {something unintelligible...sounds like "threece"}". From the picture it seems like you meant to say YOUNGER or LOWER than the 55.00.502. This matches the info on the Mazda tweaks site. It appears versions after .502 and later take out the ability to install via USB.

I have a general question (to avoid misunderstandings and complications). According to the Warnings, the AIO is not compatible with v55.0.502+. Does this mean that the v55.00.502 is not compatible OR from v55.00.502 (and up) you can't tweak without extra actions? I have v59.00.545 on my Mazda 2. So my specific question is: can I tweak my infotaiment with the current version, without extra actions (serial connection)?

So this works with the existing USB connection and you don't have to replace it in your arm console? This is awesome. I used to be an android guy, but now we have iphones. I definitely miss being able to customize things so much with android. Wish their was a carplay option. I really dont want to go through the trouble of doing the new wiring for car play support on my 2016 CX-9 Sport.

Can Android Auto be hacked to prevent forced updates? I am not talking about turning off updates in the Google Play. Android Auto has their own forced updates. I want to run an earlier working version of Android Auto compatible with my phone and the WAZE navigational program.
