Hacksaw Jim Duggan Full Shoot Interview 

This was a great interview. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, it's not just an act with him, so that was nice to see as a fan. What impressed me was how wise he was. He accepts and appreciates life as it is.

He stayed married, made a living, paid for his kid's education, and has a lot of great memories. Hacksaw is the man.

After watching so many interviews with people bashing their colleagues, Hacksaw is a breath of fresh air. A really classy guy who doesn't seem to hold grudges and has a great aura of positivity. Great interview!

Hacksaw has always oozed coolness. I loved watching him back in the day. He and his 2x4 fired you up.

It's going to be a sad day when Hacksaw heads off into the sunset for the last time. He's always struck me as a genuinely good man in a world severely lacking in that department.

Hacksaw seems to be genuinely a good person. Honest and very humble with the way he says things. He doesn't really talk crap about anyone. This interview is gold. All the best to you Mr. Duggan!

I bumped into him in a restaurant and few years ago I'm staring at him like where do i know this guy from then I screamed it while he was eating with his wife they smiled I went over got a quick picture really nice guy!

Hacksaw is overlooked for being a tough guy, but in his prime he was one of the toughest guys ever in wrestling.

What the hell...he has aged well. He looks not much different than 30 years ago.

Briefly met Hacksaw around 1990 at the Richfield Coliseum outside The Land. Total sweetheart of a man, and incredibly patient with fans. He will always be a favorite.

Dude, Devon, in almost every interview all of the wrestlers seem very comfortable with you. To me, that's a real cool talent to have bro.

When I was growing up I must admit I hated Duggan as a wrestler and a character-pretty much thought he was useless though of course I could see people especially kids loved him-however this interview is great and I am really impressed with how with it and well spoken he is today. Hats off to you Duggan-I now see you in a new light and it makes me happy to see how well you are doing!

I had the fortune of meeting his parents when I was a kid at an Albany River Rats vs. Adirondack Red Wings AHL hockey game at the then Pepsi Arena. Adirondack was Glens Falls team and they were fans. At the time I was a huge wrestling fan and remember being just as excited as if he'd been there himself lol.

class act wrestler ,,loved growin up in this era with guys like this,,i remember when yokozuna crushed jim and i really felt crushed that that happened to duggan,,,,late eighties and early 90's was and even up to the attitude era,,what a great time for good ol wrastlin,,,never ever be like that again,,,just isnt even close to the same,,,great effin interview,,,i knew before watchin he was gonna have some classic stories

This was well worth an hour and 10 minutes of my day. Hacksaw Jim Duggan will always be one of the greatest performers in wrestling history. I think people that know him probably say I'm glad he's my friend not because he'll protect my back but just because he's a good man👍👍.

I love Hacksaw Jim Duggan. Good guy. Gave so much to the wrestling business. He was solid in WWF and WCW.

I met him and Jake the snake Roberts at the Japanese restaraunt in a Howard Johnsons in Revere,Ma. They were both really cool and more than happy to sign a few autographs. This was back in 1991 I believe.

I knew a guy who played football in High School. Casually mentioned that there was a guy from an opposing team who used to break 2X4’s over his own head to intimidate other teams. He didn’t mention if he wore a helmet or not while doing it. Regardless, it worked. After High School the guy went on to wrestle as Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

Loved Jim growing up, met him last year at a comic con and he was a hoot! So loud, chatty and friendly, got his autograph hope to meet him again

Great interview for a great talent HackSaw was a light hearted gimmick Jim had been perfecting over years in several of the territory's. Just a nice guy who looks at his career the way all should he had fun, made some money got to travel all over the world and has a positive attitude towards the Wrestling business and fellow Wrestlers. Regardless of what the so called experts have to say you know the experts who have never stepped foot in the ring yes regardless Hacksaw was OVER for years and the fans are never ever wrong Jim had a legendary career. When you are over for years in every territory you worked in thats a hall of fame career. Was Hacksaw the greatest ring technician no but did he put on a good match that again the fans were on there feet screaming for your match was great. Gods speed Hacksaw continued success health & peace.

Prolly the best shoot I've seen..no hatin or reason to try and get heat decades later.. for the most part had good things to say about everybody and when it came to a situation where he had a problem with somebody he just told what the issue was with no extras on it.. very entertaining!! This man is solid as well as a ICON!!! He never was my favorite or anything but ya just had to appreciate it!! USA!! USA!! USA!!!

Listening to these old guy talk about the business and various other stories is quite fascinating. Many are so much different than I would've imagined watching them as a kid.

Well. I sure came away with a different opinion about Jim Duggan than I used to have. He is is an intelligent, well-spoken, amiable guy who seems very genuine and humble. Thanks for an excellent interview and vid.

Can't even remember one match Brett had in WCW? His time there was a disappointment but the Benoit/Hart match in memory of Owen is one of the all time greats and every fan truly watching then remembers.

I was never a fan of Jim Dugan, but this is a great interview. Hannibal you are the best-of-the-best interviewer on RU-vid. Always great questions and you are always so thoughtful and well informed. Really great job!

I met Jim at the only Con Oklahoma City had. He was not listed so when I heard his, "Hooo", I found him quickly. Great guy who I prayed for during his cancer scare. Hope he is in the best of health now and enjoying life to the full.

He was never my favourite but he brought a lot of flavour to the scene and was great at keeping things moving during a match, even when there was no action occurring. Lots of fun.

The guy is not bitter of any thing and is friends with all and at the same time ''not the office boy of the company''. Hacksaw is a really good guy and down to earth. I met him and Road Warrior Animal at a GNC promotional appearance. Both were friendly, I spoke to them for about 5 minutes, really cool guys to talk to.

I grew up in OKLAHOMA and the Mid-South was the big wrestling show we watch every time it was on HACKSAW" DEBIASE ' Dr. DEATH 'ONE MAN GANG 'JAKE THE SNAKE 'THE MISSING LINK 'ROCK-N-ROLL EXSPRESS' THE ROAD WARRIORS THEM WERE THE DAYS AND MANY MORE GREATS I COULD GO ON FOR HALF THE NIGHT....THANK ALL YOU GUYS YOU WERE ALL AWESOME....

Legend. Mid-South Wrestling! I remember him saving Jake the Snake from the new bad guys and trusting each other enough to form a tag team. Was awesome! Golden age. His catch phrase was calling people “ Tough Guy!”

Like many have said, I also was never a big Hacksaw fan as a kid. The whole crosseyed, tounge-poking-out, thumbs-up, "U-S-A" shtick was goofy (something even Duggan has admitted) to even a 10-year old me. But watching these shoot interviews with him makes me appreciate him more. Just a decent dude who loved the business. In fact, now I look back at his WWF matches and now I lovev'em. In this era obsessed with "inside" doings, workrate, technically, etc It's refreshing to go back and revisit those matches: total no-frills brawls! Love it! Now I'm a big Hacksaw fan! You rule big guy! Hoooooooo!

Hacksaw, very candid, open and honest. I enjoyed his stories and opinions on today's wrestling ( not sports entertainment, yes it's still considered wrestling to some people). I miss the good old days of real wrestling not this new era of runway models, flashy entrances that take 20 minutes for a match to start ( just get in the ring already). Too much talk and not enough wrestling. So it was nice to go down memory lane with Duggan, he looks like he can still throw people around. I hope to see more of the real "wrestlers" talking old school.

Met him at a surprise signing at a Hyvee in Cedar Rapids. Was waiting in line and he says something to the effect of “gimme an oohhhhh” I yelled super loud and he had the security bring me to the front of the line. Signed my picture of him, gave me a grey Surge t-shirt that he signed, n let me sit w him for pics n to talk for like 15-20 min. Awesome guy. I still have all the stuff he signed.

I am planning to party in Glens Falls this Halloween dressed as Jim Duggan. The dude's an absolute legend out here. I'm about to get so many free drinks!

Duggan is a class act! It's so refreshing to see a retired wrestler who is not bitter. So many times you see guys who hate every wrestler that had a better career run than they did. Hoooooooooo!!

Bruiser Brody is the definition of a hardcore wrestling legend. I was a young kid when he was wrestling, and it doesn’t seem like he was ever wrestling in the organizations I was watching. I would still always check out Brody when I would see him on TV. R.I.P. Frank Goodish.
