Halo Reach E3 2010 Campaign Trailer HD
Halo: Reach is the next installment of the Halo franchise to be released in Fall 2010 on Sept. 14. Reach will be a full-fledged sequel to Halo 3. Though, in the Halo timeline, it's really a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. As the fourth full-fledged Halo game from Bungie, it's basically the Halo 4 everyone was waiting for and likely to be the last Halo game made by Bungie.
Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter, taking place during Halo: The Fall of Reach and Halo: First Strike, when there are many Spartan-IIs still in action.
The developer is the newly spun-off Bungie and the publisher is still Microsoft Game Studios. In the split agreement Microsoft retained the rights to the Halo franchise, which means it will still be an Xbox 360 exclusive game. Because of the split, any future Halo games are likely to be made in house by Microsoft.

This looks amazing. Halo has always had the best mix of intense first person shooting with fast paced vehicle combat, all happening on the same battelfeild... and this is taking things even farther. Congrats Bungie, I officially CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GAME!!!

I need to clarify a few things here that most of you seem to have misunderstood. The Master Chief, John-117, graduated as a Spartan in 2525 among with 32 others. The fall of Reach happened in 2552, 27 years after the beginning of the Human-Covenant. These Spartans you see in Reach are all Spartan III's, (with the exception of Jorge-052, who graduated at the same time as John-117 as Spartan II's). Read a little, get to know the Halo universe, know the history of the War.

All I can say is the only thoughts in my head for the space battle are "DO A BARREL ROLE." followed by an option to press "Z or R". I demand an easter egg.

I'm reading the description and this isn't a "full fledged seuqle to Halo 3", it's a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved, the first Halo game.

We all thought Halo 3 was going to be epic. Boy, did Bungie prove us wrong. I don't know how they managed to deviate so far from the trailer, but they somehow pulled it off. So if there's one thing I've learned from Bungie, it's not to assume a game will be good based on the trailers or betas. A lot of people are getting excited about this, but I think I'll reserve judgment until the actual game comes out.

@neverable2 Just like Kurt, Jorge was probably covertly conscripted to aid Noble Team and become a member of the team. We don't even know when Jorge joined Noble. Could be recently, as Noble and most of the Spartan II's are on Reach during the attack. ;)

I find it funny how people are comparing halo to gears cuz of COVER let's see halo is a gps which means it shouldn't really have a "press A to enter cover" mode since you can't peek around it in gears you can since it's a third person shooter but idc I love both of the series :)

Agreed, Halo 3 did deviate from the "believe" trailer graphics-wise, but that argument means nothing in this case, as all of these trailers show nothing but legitimate gameplay and cutscene footage (this particular trailer is a theater-mode style rahash of the e3 demo), so the graphics can only improve from now until september. On another note, I'm super excited for space combat: it's exactly what I was hoping for from Reach :)

@nepovjerenje masterchief isnt the last spartan...there are other spartans, Kelly, Fred and other spartan IIIs. And the ship was the pillar of autumn. And they humans were fighting against the covenant for over many years... reach was one of the last planets to fall

@redsmarties00 well that is their opinion, just like it is YOUR opinion that there are other higher rated and more deserving game. I started my FPS career with Unreal Tournament 1999, so it is my opinion that most FPS games after that fail expect Halo. Most game reviews are opinions as well. @redsmarties00 but i do have to agree halo 2 had shitty ai halo 3's story line was short Halo 3 Odst again little rushed i think Reach, from what we see here, is extremely epic piece of work that definately took hard work Halo Wars story line sucked ballz cause it was for 11 year olds not the mature audiance of most FPS games Out of all of the i find playing Halo Custom Edition the most cause it has replayblity and new stuff come every 3 weeks hce.halomaps.org is where u can get it
