Halo: Reach Trailer 2 HD: Welcome to Reach
This is the 2nd Halo: Reach trailer, titled "Welcome to Reach" in HD. It is the first-ever in-game footage of the prequel to the Halo trilogy. Halo: Reach is the recently announced next installment of the Halo franchise to be released in Fall 2010. It will be a full-fledged sequel to Halo 3. Though, in the Halo timeline, it's really a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. Basically this is the Halo 4 everyone was waiting for.
Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter, taking place during Halo: The Fall of Reach and Halo: First Strike, when there are many Spartan-IIs still in action.
The developer is the newly spun-off Bungie and the publisher is still Microsoft Game Studios. In the split agreement Microsoft retained the rights to the Halo franchise, which means it will still be an Xbox 360 exclusive game.

the guy with the skull on his EVA helmet has a tatoo on his complete body that says"BADASS", he looks so unmerciful while wielding his knife, I hope this time they dont only put the knife as a decoration for the armor

If you've paid any attention at all, those SPARTAN's were wearing MK V armor, not IV. You can tell because of the slight bulge on the back of their armor being the shield generator+any SPARTAN II on Reach just got the new MK V. SPARTAN III's have SPI armor or something like that, they can't handle the bulkier, much more expensive MJOLNIR armor so the video clearly shows SPARTAN-II's. And of course Elites are hostile again and there may be limited use of Brutes. But Brutes might be tougher, too.

ok, John-17 is a Spartan II, this group of spartans were the second 'batch' of people recruited into the SPARTAN Program, it is possible that Sgt. Johnson is a Spartan I, now, Spartan III's were creaeted as a military project to get the effectivness of spartan IIs (John, Linda, Fred...) at the fraction of the cost, Get "Ghosts of Onyx" it will explain everything.

Sorry to anyone that posted previously. RU-vid blocked the last video claiming that it was a copyright infringement against Viacom, which has nothing to do with Halo. So, we'll see how this one goes.

what ever. and the Spartan III's of the book are the Company after Pegasi, and only 15 of them remained on Onix. in the book only two spartan's survived the attack on Pegasi. but 300 Spartan's are well enough to get some survivors out of. and they where active far before the Fall of Reach. I keep my words I think those are Spartan III's. but I have my doubt with Jorge.

If by more realistic you mean you'll die faster then i think you'll get what you want judging by the mark 4 armor. Oh and the reason halo 2 and 3 you don't die as easily as the books is because master chiefs armor and his energy shields got a huge upgrade in the beginning of halo 2.

@JJCbonded by the not having accents because they were taken at 6, i didn't mean they were born without accents, i meant because sometimes if you move country and live there a long time your accent can change, so because they were 6 and trained for thier entire lives under one trainer, they would not have differing accents, they would probably lose the accents after so many years. or at the very least weakened the accent. and the thing about them being guaranteed to die, that is what i meant.

@zenku41 ummmm, no, spartan IIIs were cereated much later than this, this game takes place on REACH, one of the earlier battle in the Human-Covenant War.

@sisgod yeah they were expendable, thats my point, the "Spartans never die" was for Spartan IIs only, so it seems a little strange for a Spartan III to use it because they were the expendable ones. as for the accent i did kinda say it was unlikely they had it, but i guess it is possible to still have one, i just thought considering they were trained together by one person they would of at least have really weak accents.

@kennydeanomg Sgt. Johnson was a SPARTAN-I. He was only trained and augmented, no armor, and not as much training or extensive of augmentations as a SPARTAN-II. @KayleDevanandAWESOME Yes, SPARTAN-II's but I am 99% sure it's mark V, not IV. As I've said before at the time this seems to be taking place any SPARTAN-II on Reach should have mark V. It would also seem that they have shield projectors around their armor in the same places as in Halo 1.

that girl is kat-320. and that guy is probably a Spartan III because Jorge said something like. looks like everyone survived Pegasi sir. only the Spartan III's did a succesfull job at Pegasi, only two known Spartans survived. but like they say. a spartan never dies. he's just missing in action. Spartan II's never been on Pegasi!

@ICANanimations Again, SPARTAN III's can't wear MJOLNIR armor. And from what I understand, Pegasi is a system, and may have been attacked before The Ghosts of Onyx. What seems more likely is that they are the second or third batch of SPARTAN-II's. Clearly Jorge is first batch because he's in the first 150 for numbers(he's Jorge-052). The Girl (Kat-320) and Commander (Carter-259) are likely a later batch because of their numbers being 151+.

Ok they are spartan II's everyone! didn't any of you read the books? spartan IIIs were never on reach and never even learned about it's fall, they were all on onyx, training. these are just spartan II's with customized mark IV (4) armor. the armor in halo 1 is mark V (5) and in halo 2 and 3 it's mark VI (6). so there all spartan II. unless bungie is completley going against their official books

naah, if you watch the subtitle version, jorge says, " 'didn't think anyone survived pegasi sir. " not " looks like " and i thought only spartan II's were on reach, because the spartan III's are in the book "ghost of onyx" which is on the planet Onyx, so i dont think they were in "fall of reach"

3 things wrong here, 1. There were no Spartan IIIs on Reach, they all died on Onyx. 2. Spartans were trained since the age of 6, they would not have differing accents. 3. "Spartans Never Die" was a morale booster to soften the losses of Spartan IIs after the program was made public, the Spartan IIIs were never made public so this Propaganda would not have been applied to them, also Spartan IIIs were nowhere near as advanced as Spartan IIs so they were guaranteed to die.

@ ICANanimations I see nowhere on the Bungie website anything that says there are SPARTAN-III's. There is one Q&A that asks if they are SPARTAN-III's or -II's and the answear was "Yes". It's not a yes or no question. That answear could mean SPARTAN-III's or -II's or both. But I hold fast at saying they are SPARTAN-II's.

I might give this game a shot only because of my experience with halo combat evolved. The others halo games don't worth the shot. I hope halo reach will be more violent with no puppet like style of halo 3 and more realistic like the books. But I don,t give that game much hope trough, altrough the game seems better than halo 3

Right SPARTAN-III's were augmented, but not as much as SPARTAN-II's. And thus cannot wear MJOLNIR armor. +MJOLNIR armor costs as much as a battalion. SPARTAN-III armor is much cheaper and has a totaly different look. @ICANanimations No, most of my story IS based on facts. The first SPARTAN-II's were numbered up to 150 and only about 75 of those were used, about 30 made it through augmentations. In fact, SPARTAN-III's are numbered (letter)###.

odst was supposed to be a little tatse of odst soldiers king of like an add on in the market place. but then they decided to make it a little bit bigger. this is waaay bigger than odst man... this is halo 4.

bungie never does gameplay to early.... look at halo 3 they didnt show any untill a few months before its release. plus the beta is going to come out and that sould be enough for now.
