Same, I was dating this girl (great white buffalo) and at that time I was obsessed with this version. Now every time I listen to it I think of that time of my life- which was 2012 going to 2013
I genuinely think Trenton's voice is amazingly beautiful. He is capable of hitting such diverse ranges so perfectly. I have never come across someone with such an advanced vocal range that is consistently brilliant like his. His voice sends shivers down my spine, love this band
I feel you man. This band is one of my 7 all time favorites for that reason. This band will always be underrated because they don't do any screaming, and my other 6 favorites all have a lot of screaming, but I will always love this band. Trenton's voice is just sooo.....words can't even do it justice.
Not one even ten years later, these first two Albums are perfectly written. Love all of the discography but the first 2 were just so experimental and symphonic. The lyrics and really the music as a whole has moved me to tear more than once. God you guys are saving my life.
These guys are the nicest guys you can ever meet, like i after i failed stage diving, i went upstairs and found the guitarist there, we talked about music, and it was good.
The guys are so special, from the way they sound, to their lyrics, even their appearance, they're not like the rest of the bands out there. Most of the bands that sing with Rise sound exactly the same and even look the same. Trenton is not only an amazing singer, but his his lyrics are pure poetry. One of the best bands out there.
+ShadowCrowX The reason that they did not go onto Reimagine is because it was only for songs they chose from Unimagine to carry on a similar theme of imagining. Not sure if I worded that well enough to understand.
Reimagine is a remake of the songs from Unimagine. Snow Sessions are acoustic versions of songs from Ground Dweller. It would be stupid to put two different album covers in the same remake album lol
Lately I've refused to listen to anything band off Rise since they all sound the same but I've recently fell in love with this band, now I must see them in Cleveland.
I am the knotted anchors below the ground, I'm the shadow that weighs you down. I'm the ghost on your lips, the phantom's kiss, I'll be the page of your book that's missing. That's too powerful right there
2020 and I'm still coming back to Snow Sessions. Looking forward to their new music no matter how different it will be. HLH holds a special place in my heart
I'm so, so happy to see how much love there is for you guys. I feel truly privileged to have witnessed the beginnings of what has become a truly amazing band. To watch some of the boys go from playing at high school assembly, to the addition of Trenton and little gigs at Bar 32, to spending months at a time overseas playing shows in front of hundreds of your own fans, it's inspiring and makes me so proud of you all. Keep sharing your gift with the world guys. Please.
These guys remind me of Parkway Drive in the sense they are bringing something so unique to a genre that desperately needs it, everything is just so fucking beautiful with this music. Oh and of course they're Aussie, can't forget that.
This is another aspect of this band that makes them so much more talented than most bands of this genre, they don't have to scream to sound brilliant, they can do acoustics to this level of raw genius, and they don't dress in all black, with shabby emo cuts to boost appeal. I think they're pure talent, and will go so much further.
I love HLH's normal stuff so I was a bit worried that the acoustic stuff wouldn't be up to scratch but my friend said that i'd love it so I gave it a try - definitely not a disappointment - HLH are just too good!
It's been so long since I've come across a band I actually feel the desire to see live. However, I would like sell my soul to see you guys live. Make it happen. And I second the want for an acoustic album, or maybe not second, more like 100th. You guys make my day, every day.
@xxenkixx go to google search "youtube to mp3" the first link will bring you to a website copy the youtube url then paste on the website and convert then it will have a download option which should put it in your itunes library after. It won't be in any albums only an individual song so you'll have to make a playlist for it.
Hands Like Houses and Tonight Alive are 2 bands that sound amazing acoustically and studio wise. I'm pretty sure Tonight Alive is also from Australia... I need to move there
it would sell so well... it's awesome to experience the same song but you can focus on other elements of the music since there isn't so much distortion and a full drum set with double bass and stuff... although i like the full versions better, these acoustic ones are fun to listen to for a different sound now and again
Fucking Fantastic! Mind Blown, with the endless portions of talent. On the Albums and The Snow Sessions, i'm still getting the chill from Their music! Please do a snow session for "Watchmaker" and "Spineless Crow" I'm dying to hear watchmaker acoustic!!!!!
I don't even know if this'd be possible. But I wonder if and how you guys would do an acoustic rendition of The Definition Of Not-Leaving. It'd be life changing for me guys.
