If you look close you will see the left side is not lined up with the edge of hole in your axle. This would be your glide, It can be shifted over letting your brakes operate freely. just as a test remove right side caliper and see if it is your left side is your problem, as I suspect. Two Wheel Rocco , thanks for the hunt, the two shim blocks of the shaft were mixed up when I installed the wheel back. The shim block on the right must be thinner then the one of left. But I mixed up that why the disk was misaligned with caliber. I’m new to HD but I just bought 2002 Road King with 10k miles, Screaming Eagle package from original owner. I prefer older model which still have a lot of parts made from 🇺🇸. Thanks again

You are talking about brake pad bolts? @@TwoWheelRocco yeah so I have a 2007 electra glide ultra classic. Recently I have replaced stator, voltage regulator,, compensator and a bunch of stuff in the trans. I'm not sure whats going on but the bike will not start unless jumped .battery is fine had it tested. Where do I go next

Your battery may test fine. But if you jumpstart it and it starts your battery is not fine it's cranking amps that count volts can lead you down the wrong road. Cheap fix new battery. Set the front outside first. Then use a small screw driver to line pads and caliper up. Line up and install OEM pins, Let us know how this works out.

@@TwoWheelRocco they’ve been on since I got the bike last year, pads are still good. Took wheel off to replace wheel bearings. Wheel back on now, and pads seem to be grabbing pretty hard, more than normal. What would be an easy solution for decreasing the drag on the rotor?

@@MrLohan1000 I would remove the calipers and make sure the wheel spins freely then put one caliper on don't hit the pedal and spin it make sure everything's lined up put the other caliper on spin it. Then hit the brake and see what you got. You did not replace pads. Test wheel bearings for interfere. loosen the axle nut and see if it spins freely. Isolate the brakes away from the wheel. With a long screwdriver open up the pads a little bit so you can test free wheel spin. Let us know how it works. Hope this helps. With your front wheel off the ground. Spin the wheel hit the brake light go on a break and see that spins you might have to move it by your hand to see that the break ain't grabbing just a thought. If the brakes were dragging bad it would cause a lot of heat, the desk would turn color. Front end would pull right or left.
