On the side it tipped over; make sure to check the foot peg mount area. If it is bent or cracked, that frame rail needs to be replaced and can be very hard to find.

That Vrod sold originally for 18k in most states. $500 or $750 might be an offer.. If you put $1k or $2k worth of labor and another $1k in parts you will have a $3 or 4000 bile.

Letting that thing sit where it was was the best call you could have made. VRods are probably the hardest Harley to make ANY money on.

Had a 1st year V-Rod, seriously poor suspension, along with only having a 5-speed tranny. Doubt your friend will lose any sleep over not owning this bike. Always enjoy your videos 👍🏼🙏

I bought my 2002 shadow 750 Parked it outside underneath cover it ran absolutely amazing....... but the time I went to go run it end of winter beginning of spring the bike ran like complete dog shit I lost a 1k$ on that bike because I was under impression because I changed the air box to air cone it could have run lean and messed up the motor .... I didn't want to dig into the bike so I sold it and explained what happened and Learned my lesson to just not buy another shadow cool bikes not for me tho 😂 maybe because they R liquid cooling motors and I'm use to air cooled they just always ran completely different to me

Hey Man Mountain Mike, you made a smart move leaving that bike sitting there. My experience with old bikes that have been sitting unused for years is you fix one thing then something else goes wrong. They quickly become a money pit. Even if the guy gave you the bike, what can you get for an old V-Rod? Your time and labor has value. Just something to consider. Y’all have fun with these types of projects. I’m out for now. Y’all peace out and keep on riding.

If you watch closely you will see us put gas in it… the butterflies were froze up with corrosion also.

that spring return issue is probably the reason the bike was parked up ,, i think the owner is not coming forth with the whole truth , i would bid him lower and tell him to be honest for a change ,,= the little shit,,
