@@MecaLogic Metalization of the reflectors is quite cheap, but if you do that your headlights will work like new. Most companies that refurbish reflectors prefer getting them already removed from the headlight. It's also faster and cheaper if you do it. At least this time you know you don't need to take the bumper out. You should definately do it, otherwise they will still project the light like the old ones. Also don't forget to clean the xenon lenses, they get really dusty and foggy over time. If they are really dirty soak them in water and detergent or put them in a washing machine. They should be completely clear.

@@darek4488 I recommend watching M539 Restoration's job on his Project Dubai 750iL. He did a proper job restoring his headlights and they turned out spectacular. It's in part 4 of his restoration series, plus he shows how to take off the headlights without removing the bumper! :)

@@nikolamladenoff3516 I know how to refurbish E38 headlamps. I already did mine. I have even improved the factory as I have used thicker wires for the harness, I have coated balast covers with transparent paint so they won't rust and I have painted a few elements in the lenses so when you turn them off they have mean looking red reflections. Anyway, the most important thing are the reflectors' mirror finish and electrical safety as I have seen a few E38s burnt to the ground from faulty headlight harness.
