Description: Health anxiety symptoms can affect every aspect of a persons life. A health anxiety sufferer finds themselves looking to hide their anxiety symptoms from others, which causes further inner turmoil over time.
The term ‘you must face your symptoms of anxiety’ was never really practical to me. I didn’t know how to implement this nor did I really understand the message. Clarity is key, without knowing what you truly need to do you’ll never put your heart into the new action.
If health anxiety symptoms are currently affecting your life negatively, it’s time for deeper insights. Insights into what these anxiety symptoms mean, why they continue to show up, and how to eliminate them.
Get ready to reveal the truth behind your bodily symptoms of anxiety which prolong your Hypochondria. Also, prepare to learn more about the 5 separate aspects to facing your greatest fears towards becoming more than anxiety.

I Google my symptoms to try and figure out why they are occurring, and then try to reassure myself that I'm going to be okay. It doesn't help though, because I often find myself googling the same symptom looking for the same reassurance.
@jstep100
@jstep100 2 года назад
I’ve found that googling symptoms only makes my anxiety worse. Google always seems to give me the worst possibility of what my symptoms could be from which scares the hell out of me. Lately I’ve just been trying to ignore my symptoms but that’s very difficult to do. I still constantly dwell on what it could be. I haven’t found the best way to deal with it but I’m going to figure this out and get past this. It’s very exhausting to constantly dwell on the possibility of having some kind of miserable health issue. Good luck fellow health anxiety sufferer. We’ll get past this shit.

Kelly, How are you now? In life there are only 2 problems --mind and the body. . To feel better reduce negative thoughts [overthinking]. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives good relief from stress-anxiety. To relax sit on a chair or lie down, neck straight, eyes closed and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight your thoughts. With daily practice the mind will relax. No deep breathing needed. Do the practice without any expectations when taking a walk, before sleep, in school, at work, when reading, etc. Like me, make this a lifetime daily habit to have a better life. When watching these videos, I get overwhelming emotions by both hope and dread. Hope and happiness that I don't have to feel this way for the rest of my life. But then the dread kicks in, making me feel like, what if I get stuck and can't get further to better myself. I already feel stuck and I wonder if it's an extra challenge I have to deal with because of my learning difficulties. I just really hope I can do this, because I can't stand feeling this way all the time.

Thank you Dennis for another great video. I can relate to everything you say because it rings true in my own life. Acceptance was my biggest hurdle because I didn’t want to face the truth. Your explanation about symptoms has been very helpful for me. Recognizing it (my symptoms) was my nervous system trying to keep me safe and on high alert has given me perspective. I’m in a much better place now. I want to thank you for helping me along my recovery. I am about to have a physical exam with my doctor. I have a lump in my armpit - not just a sensation but a NEW and PHYSICAL thing present. I feel normal otherwise (but I have always been a super super health worrier). I have been trying to exercise more. I did my best not to ask Dr. Google but I already know what it "could" be and it's quite scary. I know I have to get it checked out but it is debilitating constantly worrying about it and touching it as if it will magically disappear if I rub it again. Anyway just trying my best to not be consumed by it. Reassuring to see people discussing health anxiety freely with no judgements and offering ideas on how to overcome these fears. Thanks Dennis.

I was constantly looking at my skin. My fingers were hurting. So I'd visit people to distract myself. It helped. I didn't scratch or felt the other symptoms. Oh my God feeling so blessed I am doing exactly all this work since a month with my symptoms and now I can shift my anxious moment into a pleasant moment quickly.and feels more rejeuvinated after a small win everyday and I am strengthening it by repeating . One question Denis since last week whenever I do meditation where ever I go in my imagination(beach,forest) I see distractions around me like a frog that jumped on face or a crab.this just takes my focus away from being relax.even if I try those things stays there. Why this happen and how to deal with it?
@TheAnxietyGuy1
@TheAnxietyGuy1 4 года назад
Bn Tr Yes this was common during the initial weeks and months for me as well. The subconscious will create blockades between you and anything different in your imagination. This is to keep you in your anxiously imaginative state since it’s been so common. The next time that happens bring your frog swatter and keep swatting until it’s done. 👍

Being a doctor when I get curious about my symptoms they lead me in a vicious cycle of sign symptoms treatment options and adverse effects of treatment plus complications How to stop it???
@TheAnxietyGuy1
@TheAnxietyGuy1 4 года назад
TJ Toys This wouldn’t be curiosity than in the sense I talk about. Curiosity is to gain a deeper understanding towards them, revealing the mental, emotional, behavioral and other formulas we unconsciously and consciously use to bring about and maintain symptoms. Whatever you’re doing that isn’t helping your progress, change it. And if your mind tells you it’s too hard, understand that it’s not that it’s hard it’s just different, and it takes time to move from different to a new level of being.

I get like that too TJ Toys. I am in the medical field and often follow my analysis of the physical sensations into an ugly hole. Lately, I've shifted into less analysis and more communication with my body / subconscious. It definitely is a whole lot better. Moreover, I've been watching this channel's Image Cycling video daily. I'd highly recommend it for you.

I know it’s wrong but nothing else seams to work!!!! Hate this shit!!!!!!

So I act as "IF" in spite OF" When I'm fearful, I pretend I'm Wonder Woman When Im dizzy and lightheaded I see myself as the tea cup conductor at disney land. When I feel I'm having a heart attack, I say I'm a Gym Instructor doing great cardio! When I feel my stomach churn, I say Wow Im the worlds greatest Chef! When my head pounds, I say I'm a Dr smiling at this poor kid thinking he/she has a brain tumor or aneurism! Then I take the Kid in me and become the Wise Mature Woman see how silly these symptoms are like a boogyman who is trying to trick me. A deep breath, and on with the next adventure

The bad thing about distraction is it keeps coming back. It won't resolve cause your mind knows your going to do that.
@TabbyCallaghan

@@faith_over_fear8896 I have found that distraction (focusing on a thing that requires your attention ) something like exercise seems to tell the sub that there is no danger and it can relax . Also I have found the biggest thing is acceptance ! To just accept that it’s anxiety and not try to fight it . Those made big differences to me . Best of luck with all to everybody my heart goes out to anybody who has it .

Does anyone else get what he said about the rising feeling in your stomach & head? I hate it when I feel woozy headed it freaks me out. I can just be sitting on the sofa & suddenly get the rising feeling in my stomach like when you go down a big hill, then I feel woozy headed & panicky, then it just vanishes but I am left with like what he mentions, plus low mood & stuff. I get this every day on & off. I hate health anxiety it’s horrible!

I get that feeling alot! Kinda butterflies in the stomach, and feeling on high alert like I could easily be startled...its all anxiety my friend, ride it out and embrace it, your subconscious will see there's no reason to do this anymore and it will subside. It will take time though, and you need to have courage.
