I've been playing a lot of control Shaman on ladder just so I can watch the pirates cry their salty tears. I lose to the Reno decks more often than not, but I don't mind too much. It's all worth it to see those face-loving cowards lose their stars.

Is tracking really that good? I mean it gets rid of the other 2 cards you didn't chose. I personally prefer to exchange that one for anything else that gives card draw, like acolyte of pain or even flare. What do you think Brian Kibler?

So after watching this match, I'm pretty confident that tempo decks are the only consistent counter against the dreaded Pirate Warrior; like no class has a good enough combination of removal/taunt/heal to do the typical control deck thing of playing passive & not developing a board for the first few turns, and even minions control decks typically like (Loot Hoarder, Bloodmage) don't trade well enough to fight pirate minions on board. However, cards like SI-7 Agent and Dispatch Kodo seem to really cause these decks problems. They are likely to kill something when they come in w/ the Battlecry and either trade once or twice with your opponents minions or force out some burn to kill them. And since Warrior relies so much on weapons, they can actually burn through a lot of their health just trying to maintain board control (especially since they play no armor cards & little if any taunts). In my experience this appears to be the case (granted I don't have a lot of cards so my decks are un-optimized) as most of my wins against Pirate Warrior are with fairly midrange-y Rogue, Hunter, & Shaman decks. What do all of ya'll think? Is there room in the meta for an aggressive tempo deck to shut down the pirates that still has a fighting chance against control deck's crazy powerful board clears?
