@@WTfromLP Oh I only assumed non American because most of it didnt air. And most hate comments were based off the trailer. I found it's satire is some of the most brutal of sensitive social topics that I haven't seen in a while. Its really done well. I dont think i have laughed at how messed up something was in a long time.

This was a campy satirical dark comedy & actually poked fun of present day society. In fact, lefties were most up in arms about it when the trailer originally dropped & mainstream media crucified it. I imagine Brett found humor in the material (I know I did!) but at the same time was surrounded by woke cast mates, who were allegedly relieved it would never see the light of day when Paramount initially shelved it on account of a school shooting.

On top of that, she has had to spout DW talking points like cheerleading for their new movie, "The Hyperions." The movie kinda sucked, so she had to play damage control for it. @@superbubbly7978 American audiences mostly never even saw an episode and most of the outrage they had and refusal to watch the show was based on the trailer only. Then the rest of the hate was from those who already came into the first episode wanting to hate it and thats kinda a hard thing to overcome. I found that the first episode doesnt really show enough to get what the shows aim was. Because of the fact that shootings are almost a daily thing now in the US, the rest of the series never even aired. I don't know if it had, would it have been received well. The humor in the show is dark and not like Addams Family dark, i realized how most of my laughs were almost coming from how freaking brutal they were on issues that are so touchy feely here. The show is still hard to find to watch, currently only Prime has it and you have to buy the episode for 3 bucks to see it. They also edited out stuff that they felt might be upsetting for the sensitive folk. They cut enough that an episdoe is gone. I only watched the first episode because i thought that was all that was filmed and went out and hunted the series down after I found the whole season was shot and aired in other countries. I have shown it to a couple people who were originally upset and they also enjoyed the show after seeing more. With me and my friends, once the scene where the First heather dies of suicide and the people laughed at her and then she bled all the way home on rollerskates, thats the point where you get what the shows aim was.

The Heathers reboot wasn’t woke because they portrayed the woke leftists as the school bullies and they was an entire hate campaign calling it an “alt-right nazi” show. This is why The Last American Virgin will never be remade as it’s a very politically incorrect film.
