In my school gym we had a heavybag. I slammed it down, dropped the H-bomb and started unloading on it changing positions to side control to full mount to knee in belly to north south to standing up and punching. In the middle of my work out somebody came up to me like “stop it dude. Hes already dead”
Future UFC champion 😂 in my gym they don’t have slam bag or grapple dummy so I use a old punching. Bag from my apartments and I slammed it and ground n pound the shit out of it and then I got a noise complaint 😂
Great job!! Thanks! In the future, do one where you incorporate you being in the guard. I have found it useful for developing guard attacks, sweeps, and reversals:))
Does anyone have any tips for stop caring for your opponent, everytime i get into a fight i always hold back, out of concerns for my opponent, i only get serious if its a really bad situation
Violence is beautiful. They have to endure what you put in front of him and he has to endure what he outs in front of you. Dont kill your training partners, they make you better.
i am not a fighter but i like to hit the bag. my foot is injured so i did something very similar today just to get a little workout in. will try this next time. thank you
The one thing you are doing in GnP demonstrations here, are the once you are not talking about 🙂. But it's crucial part. It's the Weigh drop into those strikes. Great work all around on the GnP.
Thanks Vince. I work the bag on Punching and kicking. I'm going to try these moves you demonstrated. Could you please do an instructional video on chucking the bag, example suplex, takedowns, etc.
Anyone know how to prevent headaches from doing this? I just started doing this and everytime I hit it, I feel like all the shock goes to my head and rattles my brain.
I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ru-vid.comUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.
yeah bottom game is tough so you gotta be able to probably take a few shots, but consistently be active and threatening submissions and land little shots from the bottom to just get your opponent moving and worried (they may not look like it hurts but it does). And for takedowns just use your body weight and if your against a bigger guy it’s better to use trips and sweeps but if your against a smaller guy then you should probably go for singles and doubles if they’re available. Hope this helped if you have any more questions just ask⚡️👊
I think it's mostly matt time really, for both of those things. You gotta be comfortable on your back if you wanna do good work from the bottom. Try to seek out bottom position when you're rolling/sparring and get good at it. Tony Ferguson does incredibly well from his back. Watch his old fights carefully and copy some things.
@t a male mesomorph.181cm.70kg.i want to be 63 kg. My questions are: Will hitting a punching bag daily make my arms bigger?(no weight training just punching) I’m big boned and DO NOT want to make my arms bigger.(I do already have lean arms)im looking for a skinny thin look without diet but through punching. Also tell how should I punch in this case. Should I keep the bag on the floor and punch down or should I keep it somewhere up and punch upward?
You should just go crazy on it till you can’t breathe then start again when you catch your breathe, the best way to train for real fighting. You train your endurance best that way, don’t hurt your hands tho.
I have almost 11 years boxing experience and 6 months bjj, very foundational wrestling and im 21. and im still not in amateur cage fighting, boxing yes but idk man its up to you. you wanna be able to win rounds not survive them.
