Hellbat has the most lively personality of the Decepticons of Victory, other than Leozack and Deathsaurus. His Japanese voice is also very fitting for his personality.
I was leaning towards reviewing Armada and rest of the Unicron Trilogy next after Animated, but now you're making me want to review all of the Takara Trilogy just to get to Victory and Hellbat.😆
I LOVE Hellbat, he's my favorite character in Victory. I love him especially because of how much variety he has. He's both comic relief and a surprisingly smart, manipulative bot, and while he mostly acts friendly and dumb, he's actually quite dangerous. Both when he acts smart and when he acts stupid. I wish Hellbat was in more series than just Victory, coz he's freaking amazing. This video makes me want to rewatch Victory. I don't like the Autobots in it much, but I LOVE the Decepticons in it! Hellbat is probably the best reason to watch Victory.
His most successful moment: Accidentally killing Deathcobra and pinning the blame on the Autobots thus saving his spot in Breastforce and giving them motivation to combine into Liokaiser.
Sky-Byte (a.k.a. Gelshark) from RiD (Car Robots), The Destron Pretenders from Chojin Masterforce, Mindwipe from The Headmasters comes the closest in that series as Starscream is already dead at this point, barely remember anything about the Unicron Trilogy except for Sideways and Vector Prime, Animated had a somewhat more competent Starscream which makes Blitzwing fit better, and Prime/Aligned continuity has Knockout.
I like it when you upload videos like this without so much context only for the sake of sharing a piece of obscure transformers material with fans just as it is and we still like it caise its transformers and why not... makes me wonder why makes transformers so different from other "giant robot" oriented franchises like Mazinger Z or Gundam, despite the obvious fact that these "robots" are living beings of course but I mean why is it that this has been so big deal overtime in general I like transformers but come to think of it I think its more than just because they are giant robots, they are personalities, cultures, ideals, success and failure, good and evil, good things in the bad things and viceversa all that ying yang bla bla lol
I have him as a bot in transformers earth wars and never knew he was from the japanese era. After seeing this, i now cant stop but find him the most hilarious and indeed, lively of decepticons. Aside from tfa blitzwings third personality.
Are we going to ignore the fact that in Rescue Bots, the bots and humans switched minds. Somehow, humans and cybertronians are alike enough for their minds to be switched without any long term issues. Maybe something involving Unicron perhaps?
Hellbat and the red one are dating, the red gets embarrasses and fluster showing Hellbat physical affection in public, but that doesn't stop HellBat, in fact HE SHOWS MORE AFFECTION JUST TO SEE HIS BOO FLUSTER!!!!!!
Funny enough I almost understood most of what wss happening, either because the visuals and body language helps and also because I've seen too many animes in japanese to understand one thing or two bur no more than that... also some words are english anyways
Oh boy you think thats bad... Star Saber fights Liokaiser 3 times in the series and they basically use the exact same animations for Liokaiser every time. They really had very little budget to make a full 32 episodes.
I actually have seen G1 since release, almost everything infact except energon and cybertron. But watching this without translation or context.. This means nothing to me and I'm wondering why this was uploaded. Could you explain please?? Greetings from Netherland
I forgot how energic Anime was. I Can compare better wester cartoons and Japanese ones with the transformers themes. They just present the same thing completely differently.
