Attempting to make it work with the HMG + Throwing knife combo, with no other means of dealing with chargers Enjoy! Timestamps: 0:00 Loadout 0:38 Gameplay #helldivers #helldivers2 #helldiver
Chargers dying to throwing knives is so funny because it means that in a fight between a charger and a random British thug in an alleyway, the charger would probably lose
"oi bruv iz dat fokking doubble-deckker bug lookin at me funney? YOUV GOTT A PROBLM TWAT AY" Or somthing like that I have absolutely no clue how British people talk
You can actually take out Bile Titans with HMG by getting under it then shooting out it’s sack, then continue shooting where the sack was until it’s entire butt pops. It will die instantly after BUT, it seems to be very inconsistent damaging that area.
@@franzoloranzo7302 you can, took less than 3 seconds to do with the 1200 RPM but takes a while now with the 750 and chances of dying are also pretty high. I used to pop them pretty much everytime with EMS strikes but now BT's ignore EMS strikes and they keep stomping you while you try to blow their back off, takes about 80% of one mag which is roughly equal to 10 seconds of consistent shots without missing.
Bro, swap out the shield pack for the supply pack with this loadout and you'll be able to push even harder. Use the new booster and you'll have a similar level survivability as well. You would have had like 50 knifes, 10 magazines for the HMG and 8 extra stims.
So many people fail to realize the supply pack is superior to shield. Extra nades stuns and stims vs a shield that is popped every 5 seconds is always way better
I gotta be real, HMG against bots is VERY underrated still. I can empathize with wanting more speed and more mags. After jump-packing over a hulk and unloading into their coils for the first time I’m hooked.
best part of the hmg vs bots is how it just shreds devastators no matter where you hit them pro tip for it vs hulks, bring a stun grenade (or strike/mortar/whatever, something that stuns) and while the hulk is stunned, shoot the hmg at their heads (where the big glowing eye is) takes them out in like 4 or 5 shots, it's crazy
@@pandejsal4634 If your shots are on point it's probably about the same as AC, but the thing is AC has MUCH better ammo economy and can reload in about 1 second. The backpack slot just isn't worth the cons imo, but I'm bias as I've loved the AC from the second I used it
@@pandejsal4634 it can 1-2 shot devastators' heads i havent counted how much it takes to their torsos but it's also not much at all, i can comfortably keep it at the lowest firerate and shred devastators
The hellpod you can destroy is actually a "supply pod" type that is very rare yes, but it's recognized mostly by it's door malfunctioning and being unable to open entirely c:
@@66maybe66probably because they contain supplies which might make the game easier if you had access to them. But I would like it if they spawned more just because it's cool.
24:07 Titan spit actually has pretty significant splash, even more so since the update with the spit area increase. You can bait the Titans into spitting onto other Titans, Chargers, shield generators, and even rocks too (last time I checked) and it will do a ton of damage back at themselves.
Leaning into the knives versus chargers was genuinely entertaining and a fun constraint! It's faster to just dump half an i-Breaker mag into their butts, but it's not as fun to watch.
Another thing I love about the HMG is its ability to destroy shrieker nests. ~55% of a mag destroys one of their mushrooms. I´m pretty sure it also destroys spore spewers, but haven´t had the opportunity to test that yet.
The hellpods you are thinking of looks like a properly deployed hellpod but the covers are stuck and sparks are coming out of it as it continues to try to open but fail. breaking it reveals a random support weapon or backpack.
@@TyTimeIsAwesome it can be useful, no doubt but I can't count on my hand how many times bile titans and bile spewers have killed me because of that 2+ second animation when I am running to get supplies 😂😂. I play fast/dangerous so that second animation is important for me.
@@TyTimeIsAwesome yup that. And that is just one of the many things that have killed me because of auto climb lmao. + I just prefer having control what I can and can't climb
The moment we get to see if its going to be a bile heavy charger heavy or hunter heavy world, this games going to become amazing, imagine all the loadout possibilties
Best titan strat with 500 is run towards it and under legs then throw below because it will turn around to chase you out the other side which cause the delay for impact
Hi! What keys do you use to type Stratagem? One of your old video shows WASD but i see you can move. I use Q E and scroll wheel up/down. Not the best, but I'm used to it.
the grenade and stim boxes you find have been giving full refills for a while now, like I wanna say since the spear could get ammo from the little boxes on pickup, too
Takibo you can set multiple actions too the same buttons, i have dodge on space and climb also on space, same with crouch on c and laying down also on c, you can for example set dodge on space single press and climbing on hold or Trouble press, same with crouch, crouch in single and laying down on hold, i love them for doing that i have a disability with my left hand so being able too map everything how you like and need it is perfect
Yeah EMS... or any orbital usually doesn't work well with orbital fluctuations xD On the automaton side, I played some HMG and it's kinda nice, still not as good as AMR/Laser/AC (I suck at it against hulks), but definitely up there. But for BUGS? I haven't tried, didn't expect it to do that well, the damage buff is real against brood commanders. Tho I don't think I'll ever use it without a supply backpack, especially multiplayer, its ammo pool is ridiculously low, even with the slowest RPM & trying not to waste shots (where most other support weapons are braindead on that aspect).
@@Weathrboy The supply pack completely refills throwing knives, so you're effectively carrying 50 on you at all times. It's a must-take if you're relying on them to kill chargers IMO. Also with the recent changes, slows are less punishing and spit attacks can't oneshot you anymore. That makes shield gen a lot less useful compared to just spamming stims with supply pack.
Have you tried the AMR against bugs? I thoroughly enjoy it against bots and bugs. Bugs it can one shot literally everything except chargers and bile titans. Warriors, Hive guards, brood commanders, bile spewers, nursing spewers, stalkers. As long as it’s a clean headshot it’s a one tap for everything and is so satisfying! Bring stuns and chargers are easy to deal with if you just pop their butt. Works against spore spewers and shrieker nests, just takes awhile. Can shoot out bile titan bellies, not sure if it’ll kill eventually or not though
I've been running the mini mg sentry with the HMG. I call it down and it gives me time to reload when I need a new mag in the middle of a fight. I've also been taking the scorcher when I don't have an AT for the chargers. I feel like stun and impact nades are too good and the knives really fall short of what they need to do.
I prefer Medium machine gun vs bugs because it still saws through pretty much everything but chargers, spore spewers can be a bit spongey but if shooting them in the face doesn't work then just break out the grenade pistol and pop them in the face. A loadout I've found I surprisingly like is the explosive crossbow for pure utility, the machine pistol as a side arm, stun grenades, Orbital Strike, Gatling Barrage, Machine Gun, and then a flex pick. The explosive X-bow is AMAZING at clearing out hives, I've been able to run through hives and just pop holes on repeat. I think because it's considered a silenced weapon, bugs don't spawn out of the holes as fast.
The shield pack saved you at that Stalker Lair, absorbed the blast of the 500KG and you were more than five feet from the epicenter so the damage was low enough not to kill you after lmao
My favorite heavy machine gun loadout for the bugs is the heavy machine gun with the supply pack so you can use it as a primary with infinite ammo plus the orbital Gatling barrage because it's perfect for dealing with hordes of bugs that appear out of nowhere and you can take out structures with it and the 500 kg bomb because it's the best way of taking out bile titans until they fix the cooldowns for the orbital strike that for some reason sometimes doesn't actually have the 90 second cooldown. It's also advisable to bring stun grenades because whenever you see a charger the best way to deal with them with the heavy machine gun is you pop a stun grenade and shoot their back out. You can do so provided your accurate with at least half the magazine. Now for the automatons if you use heavy armor your tanky enough to where you don't need a shield backpack so you use the supply pack the same for the infinite ammo and you switch out the 500 kg bomb for the eagle airstrike because it's strong enough to take out factory striders and hordes.
I still prefer the other 2 machine guns on the bug side since they have so much mobility. But the HMG does shred on the bots side, even if the scope is still buggy
Ouch, EMS strike while that stupid orbital scatter is in effect. Even a direct hit EMS often fails to stun a charger probably depending on which animation the charger is doing.
I think it would be pretty fun to helldive on a planet with low gravity. I mean there are a lot of planets and every single planet can't just have the same size and gravity.
I took it off back in late February. I just constantly hold or press the vault or X button on the controller when I feel I’m close to a step worth enough to stop me from vaulting. 😊
7:54 i dont think the crosshair on the throwing knife is misaligned, i think its just natural deviation. You’re not going to nail a throwing knife in the same spot over and over
Those hellpods that contain items look like hellpods that are malfunctioning opening all the way, I could be wrong but I think they only give backpacks. I’ve also only ever seen them on easier missions I swear they’re never in difficult missions.
did they "fix" the jump away from spit finally? where you always get hit and basically die as soon as you try to jump away in a 90° angle from spit? super annoying because its basically how you would dodge. if you just run to the side you are fine, but jumping means they hit...
The perfect spit at about 8:10 hit your legs. Every Helldiver hitbox other than torso is explosion immune. Edit for more context: Making every Helldiver hitbox other than torso explosion immune was the quick fix they used to remove multihits from explosions for Helldivers. Bile spit attacks are all explosive damage. Again at about 12:15, and often in gameplay in general if you move around bile spitters right by doing a lot of backing away and to the side from them, you will see this happen where only your legs catch any of it and so no damage is taken.
They need to keep whatever damage would equal 🟰 killing chargers with the knifes that would make it viable for a high impact single damage utility. Also I know that’s the the thermite was supposed to be but I say BUFF IT THEN
39:07 I think we should be able to carry 2 grenades types and switch between the two like other games (what's the points of armors having huge grenade belts in this game)
I need to use HMG more 🤣 that thing shreds wtf 1) you can just stick a supply beacon on the charger if you have nothing else. I sometimes use spare support weapons just for the lolz 2) granade boxes reaload more granades than the supplies for some strange reason 🤣
Or equip Eruptor or crossbow, my setup is Eruptor/crossbow with Shotgun pistol and Throwing knife with 110 Rocketpods,Gatling orbital,Stalwart and supply pack. Its my most balanced when doing solo, Adjucator is for nest or grouped bugs,Stalwart/MG/HMG for fast group takedowns/Shotgun pistol for fast action against those hunters and stalkers, 110 for bile titans,Throwing Knife against those chargers and supply pack is for non ending machine gun carnage.
They only spawn on lower difficulties. I don't think I've seen them on difficulties higher than 4. It's unfortunate because it's a cool idea to have damaged supply pods around.
Ik they are gonna fix the 4 knife charger kill but what other utility will they have after. I mean hell they you can’t even do a high damaging melee attack with them. Soon they will be the most useless grenade item in the game.
Don’t want this to seem negative cuz I love your videos, but have you ever thought about not running shield generator? I’ve always felt that it made the game feel too safe and wasn’t as much fun as jet pack/guard dog. Would love to see some jet pack gameplay from ya but I’ll be watching regardless, keep up the good work
I mean when he's testing new loadouts it makes sense to run safety equipment. Besides which I'm pretty sure his previous run with the spear didn't use the shield
Anybody else having a hard time actually playing the game since the last patch (.402)? I got to the last drill on two Hive Breaker missions and couldn't interact with the drill (sorry, playing solo so I'm SOL in this situation). Next two missions crashed during extract. 2 hours in the game and literally nothing to show for it. Kind of a weak way to make players fail a Major Order, if you ask me...
I wouldn’t recommend engineering kit armor because knives dont refill up to 10 with one resupply pack, and it is much better to run something like medic armor or something to preserve your life better while using the supply pack to constantly replenish your knives, stims, and HMG mags.
