About a month ago, right before homecoming, a girl ran up and did the exact same thing - she asked us who the hottest girl in the school was. My first response was, "not you", but then the only actual answer I could think of was one of my teachers lol

Gunnar I'm one of your older viewers (early 40s) and there's a simple reason for all these names. Most people my age are desperate to stand out and they project that onto their kids. Not that everyone should be named Bob or Joan but yeah, it's getting out of hand.
My uncle is a teacher, and so he always tells us the strangest names, and how other people react. One that I can remember from a few years ago was “Atlas”, who kept getting strange tasks to make funny comments about Atlas doing stuff.

Never found out who they were nor how they knew how I was. I never posted any personal information, not even a real name. Barely posted outside of reblogs either. Super creepy

the whole idea of rating is messed up imo. Are we putting an entire human being into a 1-10 scale? 10 being in the top 10% of people at the school? Is it looks? Face? Body? Personality as well? Personality only??? If this is a gut reaction it's also so degrading. Barely anyone listed off features, abilities, or even personality traits they found attractive. Sure you can see it as an innocent thing kids are doing, but how does that mess with how people feel about themselves and others? Where does this behavior stop? State what they mean on a scale of 1-10 because some people are only rating physical features, and that is an aspect that is a lot up to genetics, and even then you shouldn't change how you look or act to impress everyone around you.

The part about the girl warning the other girl about a guys fan base and essentially pressuring her to rate him highly was not only cringe but super disturbing.
