Come along for a quick little trip into the High Uinta Wilderness. Fishing wasn't great but solitude was top notch. tight lines My other channel @SawForgeGarage
Love that lake, you're in just about the same spot I was when I camped there a few years back. Was in my hammock and had brought my ultralite tarp with me that is an asym with little cover, wasn't expecting any rain but wanted to be safe... Ended up in the most intense thunderstorm of my entire life! Bolts streaking right past that ridgeline every 8 seconds or so, it was incredible and terrifying haha.
Awesome! Nice Brookie! I used to visit this lake all the time. It’s been years since I’ve been there because it was always so crowded. The fishing is pretty good there from my experience. The other side of the lake has a sweet camp spot.
Thanks Dude. I used a cheap Cabalas rod for many years and It actually worked fine. I have a few more rods now. What I use the most these days is an Orvis Clearwater rod/reel combo 9ft 5wt and a Reddington Classic Trout 7ft 3 wt with a really nice real/line set up. Both have been great. The Orvis is on the lower end of nicer rods and I've really liked it.
