In this Video I am going to discuss Gout Attack at night and Gout treatment. This problem mostly occurs in 1st Metatarsophalangeal Joint of Feet in about 80-90% of Patients but it can also occur in other joints of body.
When levels of Uric Acid rise than normal limit in human body then this condition is called as Hyperuricemia. Serum Uric Acid is a Chemical which is found in our Blood and is transported via blood.
Normal Serum Uric Acid level is below 6.8 mg/dl in human body but if Serum Uric Acid level is more than 6.8 mg/dl then it is called as Hyperuricemia.
There can be different reasons for increased Uric Acid in the Blood.
1. Genetic Factors
2. Foods that Increase Uric Acid in the Body
3. Spicy Foods
4. Increased Consumption of Alcohol
5. Increased Blood Sugar
6. Decreased Omega-3 Fish Seeds in the Body
7. Increased Body Weight
8. Medications
9. Dehydration
High Uric Acid Foods (High Purine Foods) to Avoid
1. Chocolate
2. Smoked Beef
3. Canned Bottles & Juices
4. Green Leafy Vegetables i.e. Greens, Spinach, Beans, Cabbage & Peas
5. Pulses
6. Rice
7. Sugar Drinks
8. High Fructose Corn Syrup
9. Tuna Fish
Increased Uric Acid in our Blood causes crystal deposition in the Joints and causes Inflammation and Swelling. Symptoms of Gout include Severe Pain, Swelling of Joints and Inflammation of Joints. We can check Serum Uric Acid level in our Body via a Laboratory test called Serum Uric Acid Blood Test. It's Normal value is 3.4-6.8 mg/dl.
2nd Category of Patients has increased Uric Acid in blood i.e. more than 6.8 mg/dl but they have no Symptoms. These are called as Asymptomatic Gout Patients.
3rd category of patients has increased Uric acid in Blood as well as gout attacks frequently. These are called as Chronic Hyperuricemia Patients. They are advised Uricosuric Drugs.
High Uric Acid Foods To Eat
1. Daily 8-10 Glass of Water should be taken because it helps to excrete Uric Acid from the body.
2. Water Melon, Cucumber, Apricot, Mango, Dates
3. Green Coriander, Fenugreek
4. Figs, Mustard Oil, Olive Oil
5. Egg White, Milk & Yogurt without Fat
6. Vegetables in the form of Salad
7. Coffee, Cherry & Lemons
