Voddie Baucham's quote "We cannot continue to send our children to Caesar for their education and be surprised when they come home as Romans," convicted ne and now I'm 3 years in to homeschooling my 5, ages 2 to 12. I’m so glad to hear a young couple talking about these things and actually consciously planning how they will parent! And it’s so great that there are actually people and communities in America who are taking these steps and accomplishing better parenting with values. This is inspiring. I’m very grateful that I grew up in a private Christian school and then later a naval academy.

My mother stayed home with us. We went to school but we always felt so loved. I remember family game nights, my parents on the sidelines, dinner on the table every night. I remember the TIME SPENT, not the MONEY SPENT. Yes, our families income could double if I worked as a nurse again. But for what? More things? A nicer car? None of that compares to the closeness and strength that our family has now that I’m home. And most importantly, I know exactly what my children are exposed to. Another beautiful message, you both will be wonderful parents.

Our culture encourages parents to celebrate when kids go back to school and dread the idea of them being home all day for summer. School is viewed as a babysitting tool. I can't blame parents too much as that is all many of them know. It's a shock to their routine when kids are gone for a large chunk of the day and suddenly are home for a few months. It's hard, but we always try to balance our frustration with understanding. We've recently learned about and embraced the idea of a parent not working, homeschooling, homemaking, etc. It's taken years for us to break out of what once felt normal to embrace this new normal. Anyway - we love your videos. Especially when you are both on camera. You each have an interesting perspective to the topics you discuss and make a great team! 😎😍

Gosh, I truly feel like God has put this on so many hearts of parents! I am hearing so many similar sentiments around me. I also feel so called to homeschool and be a homemaker. It’s a beautiful, Godly calling. God is doing something incredible in today’s parents!

Lol, like everyone else, this is very timely. We just started homeschooling last year! I had wanted to do this forever but last year the Lord moved in my children and husband's hearts and everyone all wanted to do it. I literally had "nightmares" about family members saying I wasn't doing a good enough job. I have since relaxed even though my oldest is saying he wants to go back. I am placing my faith in the Lord that he will move again. But I have seen and felt a tremendous difference in our whole family. We actually have a family dynamic again. We are together all the time! I even used to be the type of mother that used to celebrate the beginning of the school year, but no longer. We have a working/teaching/loving relationship with TIME to actually focus on what's important. Praise God!

My husband is a pastor and we have attended several conferences to this summer for family retreats and a homeschool conference. Of the main themes we heard this summer os there is no such this as a secular education. Everyone has a religion it just depends on what religion they are pushing, most are the woke religion and pushing our children into that. It was something I had never thought about and really opened my eyes to a different view. We are in year 2 of homeschool and we love it!

I've homeschooled all 5 of my kids. 3 are still in school. I would be terrified to send my girls into the public school system. I had terrible things done to me there. As a result my children are skilled beyond reason. Better yet they've learned about Yeshua in a way that is deep and has impacted the way even the two adult ones live. I told them all from the beginning they are meant to be revolutionaries. And if God wills that's what they will be!

This was Godly timing. I was homeschooling my two oldest through the chaos of a two year old. I was debating on sending him to a pk3 charter school next year so we can focus. And then this video popped up. Thank you!

I am retirement age. The public school system was amazing for me during the 60s and 70s. They taught me things and developed my skills. Today things are different. If I had children ( was never blessed) I definitely would have stayed home and homeschooled them. There is not a support system out there for stay at home parents or home schooled children. I informed my pastor/elder that if anyone needed assistance with homeschooling I would definitely assist. You are so correct. Children that are friends with non Christian children become confused. What child doesn't want to make their own decisions and have no restrictions.

Amen! I have friends who in all other ways share our values but would only choose homeschoooling under dire circumstances (aren’t we already there?!). One mom said to me that she could never homeschool and “can barely handle the hours of 4pm-7pm”. Others referred to any week their kids weren’t in some kind of camp this summer as having to do ”mom camp”. These are conservative, Christian, stay at home moms! But somehow we’re still buying the culture lies that it’s relatable and funny to complain about being with our kids and how much we need a break from them. Before making the decision to homeschool I can’t say I was any different. I looked forward to all those free hours I would have when my kids were finally in school. But now I think ‘free hours to do what exactly?!’

I jus love you guys if only you lived next door, u r the kind of friends my husband and I r praying for. We are now in our 3rd year of homeschooling our kids and it’s such a blessing, my heart jus melts seeing my 20 month old boy praying , I dnt think he would know how to pray if he was shipped somewhere daily while I pursue a ‘career’.

I absolutely needed to hear this today, and I know the Lord led me here. I am a mom of two, they are twelve years apart. My son went to traditional school and graduated last year after changing to a homeschool style Charter school. From our daughters birth we said we would be homeschooling her. I am sitting here getting overwhelmed with planning my curriculum and wondering if I am even up for this task....and then I see your video. Exactly what this mamas heart needed. Hi Kayla! I'm a homeschooling Mom who was also overwhelmed with curriculum. I really recommend master books for a good Christian curriculum that is open and go. I highly recommend it. Best of luck on your year!

This is our second year homeschooling, my daughter will be in “1st” grade. I couldn’t agree more on the things discussed. I felt God put it in my heart even before I had children to homeschool. It was never even a question really. I always thought why would I send them to school to let someone else raise them? No one can love and disciple them the way God wants like I can!!! He gave them to me for a reason. I really encourage you to read the book “The Power of Motherhood: What the Bible Says about Mothers,” by Nancy Cambell. It is life changing!! She has a ministry and a podcast called Above Rubies which is also excellent. Not sure if you’ve ever heard of Trim Healthy Mama but it’s a Biblically based way of eating and to help lose weight. But those 2 ladies who wrote that are her daughters.

A good Church is not a building or place you go to, so if it is that don't go there. The Church is the body of Christ.

I've been to quite a few outside revivals where the Lord is more present than most churches I've been to and it is so amazing to witness the Lord draw people in from the road and even truckers. Sometimes the buildings get people caught up and trapped into hearing the wrong thing. BUT as far as the question how to find a good church....genuinely pray on it and the Lord will guide you to the right place where the truth and word is being taught.

I have visited a couple churches that have good doctrine, but they are all dying churches. Very few young people and not a lot of energy.
