Thought maybe I was low on refrigerant thats why my AC wasn't coming on. Thankfully I watched your video and found out before wasting time flushing and filling my AC! Saved the day!
First fan fuse was blown! But no fans once replaced. When I jumped the switch - both fans came on. Replaced switch - no fans. Had replaced thermostat prior to finding your video. Where would you suggest I look next? Thanks!
Any update I’m having the same issues and I’ve replaced the thermostat and the switch relays and fuses are good the paper clip by pass works new sensor switch doesn’t kick the fans on any suggestions?
Did this, replaced the sensor and still nothing. Paper clip trick turns in my fans, new sensor doesn’t. I was told it’s the fuse box needing replacement
Make sure you have the correct sensor for your vehicle. There are a few and both look the same. Also your temp has to be high in order to trip the sensor on. Change out the thermostat . Some thermostats have intermittent trouble
2002 Honda Civic LX. Radiator Fan & AC Compressor Fan immediately turn on when I start the vehicle from cold. Would a bad relay? bad fuse? or sensor cause this issue? Fans stay on the whole time and it's causing the vehicle to overheat for some reason.
Thank you, the fan switch fixed my overheating situation.. but i have a question.. Is it a problem that my fans dont cut on automatically when i turn the AC on?
Okay now its getting hot again lol... this is so frustrating... my fans were just working properly when i changed the fan switch..now its beginning to overheat again because they arent kicking on again like they were... but when i jump the 2 pins it stays cool. Do you have any clue what the issue could be ?
The fan would kick on then cut right off. Would not stay for long. I have replaced both the Coolant Temperature Sensor and Cooling Fan Switch, thermostat and radiator. I checked relays and fuse all seems to work including the fan. Last thing to check is the water pump.
Cooling switch could be faulty , also make sure you have enough coolant in the system. If coolant is low the switch won’t be totally submerged and will trip on and off. Open the cap when cold and make sure the coolant is to the top covering all internals. Good luck
Did you jump the plug to make sure the fans work? If you did and the fans did not come on then check the wiring to the fan motors and the fan motored themselves. If fans work then I would definitely change out the thermostat. The first thing I do is change out the thermostat. Most of the time that’s was the issue is. Good luck be safe. If your not skilled enough ALWAYS HIRE A PROFESSIONAL. Good luck
@@HighRidgeHandyman Jumped plug and both fans come on. Will address thermostat next. And unfortunately don't have the proper equipment to drain the coolant. Thanks for the reply.
@@Forvs1I’m having this exact problem!!!! Someone pls respond to me if you found a solution my car doesn’t over heat at all even tho the temp gauge shoots all the way up
@@RobertMorris-l3l thank you no not the problem I found out the person I got it from never burped It so it cause it to over heat now I drain it filled it up burped and now the problem gone
@@ivanska3099 Sounds like the engine coolant temp sensor is reading incorrectly and could be defective Or you could have a bad fan relay causing the fan to run continuously. Good luck
what is the part number that you switched? im trying to buy that one but i think i got the wrong one because when i put the new piece on the fans don't turn on. however, the fans do work because we tested before getting to buy the new senser.
The after market I bought turns the fans on at a hotter temp. example the factory original turns fans on at 207° and the aftermarket would turn fans on at 225° didn't like that so took it back.
I'm bout to run these damn fans on a toggle to stay on when im at a stop light to see if that's what cause the car to overheat slightly when at stop lights after driving on highway for 30 mins at 80-90mph
One is for the temp coolant and the other is for AC. Drivers side id engine coolant and the passenger side for AC. Which ever isn’t working check that fuse and relay.
