Other than the minimal range and small capacity battery. I absolutely love the way it looks. The dashboard, the exterior, all of it.

This car is an amazing car in terms of almost everything. I love the design inside and out. I love all the screens, I love the fresh, modern and slightly unconventional interior. I kind of think of this as a dream car. The car is completely let down however by price and range. If they lower the price significantly and increase the range somehow this will sell like mad and I would definitely buy one! I want it so bad :(

When Bjorn turns up the pitch I turn down the playback speed to 0.5, I could watch hours of that 😂👍🏻 also when spraying the camera normal view seems to use the centre of the camera lens because at 24:18 you were clearing the lens but we couldn't see it. maybe wide view would have more noticeable water distortion ?

Regarding the camera mirror settings, it’s like a GoPro that lets you pick wide and med fields of view. When you pick wide in the car the screen displays everything the camera sees. When you pick normal the screen displays the center of the camera’s field of view. Since that’s smaller you can choose the displayed area. The problem with wide angle cameras (look at the e‘s backup camera; it lets you choose two fields of view) is that the image looks weird on a flat screen.

This would be a cute second car, but it makes total sense as a primary vehicle in a compact place like Japan.

Could you please add some testing of the EVs‘ driver assistance systems (ACC and active lane keeping assist; regarding the latter please tell us how well it’s able to keep the car centered in the lane especially in corners)? I think many people would really appreciate this. You could easily add this in your driving videos (maybe range test or 1000km challenge). Thank you so much, keep up the awesome work!

Great review! What is the NFC tag label for? Does is just mean, that the key is using NFC? I drove the car in the rain and the side mirror cameras remained clear. But the rear view mirror camera became unusable pretty fast. I also had problems focusing on the rear view mirror (my age....I know...).

Hejsa, try to find out if it would come a software upgrade soon and how to installed. How much does it cost the upgrade if you instal yourself or, it needs a doctor for that. Because at the end could be a really good deal to buy this car with all that tech that it have it 😉.

So. Prices seem good right now. Im in denmark. I have 130 km to and from work and thats the only thing i will use it for more or less. I have a convertible and motorcycle for good weather. Love the dash, would rather real mirrors with options to use the mirror screens for info etc. good city car. Don’t like cloth around interior handles, they will be dirty as in three years when you upgrade to the 60kw version :)

honda put a hydrophobic coating on the rear windscreen of civic 8 from 2005 cos no wiper so they seem to know what they are doing with the "mirrors"

The only thing bad about this car is not the range, is not the poor cargo space, is not the velocity of charging... IT IS THE PRICE. For a tiny car it is just incredible. AND Honda is well know for making great cars at lower price. This one is just waaaaaayyyy too expensive. But anyways is a wonderful car.

This car has so many nice features. Sadly you’d use many of those fancy features on longer trips rather than your daily commute. IMO the e should be a bit larger (trunk space), have a significantly larger battery (40-50kWh net), way better charging speed (at least 80kW peak), a better second row (3 seats, center armrest, 60/40 or 40/20/40 folding) and an armrest in the front while not increasing the price too much (no more than 40k€ maxed out).

Probably a collectors car in 30 years.

have to include height for head room sad thing about the e, it has the hud you want in other ev cars which are better at being ev cars, but really everything should be voice controlled by now.

I don’t love to hate it. I love it, but I only hate that they fucked it up by designing it as a 3 door concept but then only give a 5 door version. I am a 3door hatchback lover, hence I took on debt to buy a 3 door VW Golf in 2018 because they weren’t going to bring a 3 door mk8...

I think this is one of the best EVs designed and the looks and material is spot on. 2 problems for me. 1 faster charging, many households do not have the option to home charge and when the range is that short I cant drive across town and back to my friend (40min single way) when it is -10 and then need to charge like 20 min + possible queue for the home journey would be infuriating. I think for the sake of the EV future, all new EV needs faster charging so that the time spent at a charger is decreased and allows for more people charging during an hour without queuing. If I come in my new 200KW charging car and I have to wait 30 min a ionity charger for a Honda e to slow charge I would buy a second car that is non EV. Second problem is this modernization of things. A visual speedometer, not this digital idiotic number shit, just an analogue display of speed like we've had for the last 100 years, just give me the option to have it. I can be a digital graphic and do not have to be fancy just have it. And this mirrors...NOOOO. I understand the point but it removes the 3D perspective that mirrors is so good for and it also changes the focus point. Looking at a car in the mirror is a 20m focuspoint and often the same as looking forward, but a display is a 1m focuspoint which requiring more refocusing which leads to more tired drivers, Same problem with the digital speedometer. A good analog looking one wont require refocusing to see, it can be blurry and would still be visible enough to know I'm going 100 and not 110.

Maybe you could test the turning circle / radius? I have seen some different numbers, wonder what it really is.

Wouldn't there be a problem with the law? Eg. in ICE if you are underage you can open the car and fetch something, but if you are sitting in the drivers seat with the car running you can get a ticket for not having a drivers license. If the car turns itself on and ready to drive you need to have a drivers license to open the car.

Basically: Great design, terrible range, way too expensive. I totally agree. Classic Honda :P

For me, this car is a work of art. Just oozes design from every pore. Okay, that sounded gross. I'd never pay the MSRP for one of these, but I'd love to buy a used unit down the road. Too bad they're not coming to America.
