I know, right? I dig it too. I think he should make a whole show with a ride and profile of some of these custom bikes (I wanna see some of that scenery), some tech, some cultural insight, and some general bike talk. Definitely think he makes videos for the right reasons... to help, entertain, inspire, and teach... not money and fame.

Hey, sorry for the late reply, I don't monotize off of RU-vid, just trying to help people when and where I can, so I hardly post, BUT! I am around and am not going anywhere, I am super busy, but I try my best to answer everyones questions and emails. Most likely a exposed, corroded wire OR faulty starter relay. When a fuse blows that quickly both hot and ground have found a way to arch to each other, best thing to do is make sure your working with a charged battery for one thing, throw a multi meter on it AND at your starter relay to see if you get continuity, when those relays go out, they blow the fuse that quick. Chase the wires if that doesn't pan out ALSO make sure to test your ignition switch, and look at your kill switch test that to see what continuity is doing...Ive found fuse blowing problems in those places before! It could be a number of other things, and Im not there, every bike wears out differently, but those are the things that I would start with first.. other that its just a matter of wire chasing. Hope this helps some.

like for the front or rear of the tank?

bannanapancake it's for the rear. For the front, I used your method of running a dowel through the frame and some metal flat strap.

bannanapancake it looks awesome and no problems yet. I've just clear coated over the bare metal tank. Looking for some pinstriping. Ow and it should be finished soon. Wish I could share some pics of it with you! Might make a walk around and explanation video soon. Thanks for all the good info man!

Yeah, the Spirits don't have the paneling the 600's can get away with..the lights were mounted just using a simple fabbed bracket. My tabs for holding the stock fender were lopped off when I got this bike so it became just a drill and mount thing for me, but I always say, try and find holes and uses for old brackets if you have them, no need to go spend money if you can use "existing" anything (nuts/bolts, wiring, frame holes for mounting) I've made budget bikes only basically things just found on the bike itself.. hope this helps:)

The battery sits underneath the bike right next to that square tube that runs up and down. I'll probably make a video describing how to do this in the future..

Thats a tough one, you might get close but have to do some milling yourself on it? sorry I couldn't help more on that. If it were me, Id probably caliper your stock one out and go hunting at you nearest Harley dealership...have them find you the axel that would best fit and then go see if you can get it online eBay/ect youll save some serious green doing that for sure. sorry I couldnt help more with that one

The Harley shop doesn't know the specs and doesn't have any in stock unless I order it. I might just suck it up and get it machined. Thanks for responding.

Mission Capable - yeah, I’ve dealt these sorts of things in the past, people wanting a 21” wheel on a rebel, upgrading and older Honda spirit to a 21” as well (caliper mount/disc is in the wrong side) and what have you, might just have to suck it up like you said, good luck brother, hope it works out for you!

It would be hard for me to show you over the internet, usually the wires (Honda) are blue brown and orange, but it could be anything in your case, especially if someone has worked on it before and changed the color out to a different wire. you can always turn the key to on, "if" you have power you can turn your switch to blink, or have someone step on or grab your brake lever to get the brake light to come on using a tester light, the tester light will substitute the actual light your trying to get to work, hope this makes sense.

@@bannanapancake figured it out lol took a while but got it wired up and my bike is a 99 Ace and I'm beating the ugly out of it .. it's a work and progress for sure

robert russell - That will be a close one, might mess with the clutch cable a little.. re-routing the cables plus loosening up the wire harness (electrical) might help with some of that, if your keeping the stock set up..
