This is my friend Kelsie and her bike I built (I didn't do the teal paint work), she is an amazing guitarist, and she wanted to incorporate her passion into this build, so with a little bit of love in the right places we made this beast with a different kind of distortion, I'm mainly making these videos to show case the tank, and getting a better option other than he stock tank, check out my other video on "how to" for this bike (tank) thanks for your view

You truly do incredible work. That tail light is off the hook. What I love about these beautiful bikes you produce is that they all share similarities and have your signature but at the same time they are one of a kind created for a single owner and no one else will have that bike. No one could ask for more. A real masterpiece. Thanks for sharing.

I just finished a vt600 with a Harley peanut tank but cut the double backbone out and welded in a single to utilize the arch in the tank. It may have been easier to do it your way. Nice job on those bikes they do make great bobbers

Hey man. Just found your channel. I recently moved to Washington after living in Utah for about 8 years. Thought it was cool that's where your at with these videos. Anyway when I moved I had to sell my little Virago to a buddy in my unit. A friend of mine out here is going to help me build a bobber from scratch. We've got the frame (don't recall exactly what it's called) and a 450 parallel twin out of an early 80s Honda. Just wanted to say I love the bikes. I've gotten a lot of inspiration and ideas for my build from your videos. I hope to see some new bikes from you at some point. I like your style.

🤙🏼 Just stumbled across your channel, just watched them all, this was the last one, love the bikes, beautiful. Did one six or seven years ago, ‘02 Yamaha 1100 V Star, sounds just like this one. Kept the rear fender, just bobbed it and added a sissy bar, thinking of adding a “P-pad” to it, just found one in the brown gator to match the solo seat I got on it. Add a straight bar, old school head light, side mount tail light/plate holder, custom air filter and a few others. Got a nice “rattle can” paint job on it (if I do say so myself), which makes it kind of stand out, yellow with orange race strips and graphics. It’s just and old school “garage build”, my lill Bar Hopper. And it runners like a scalded ape, and wakes the neighbors if I get up to early or come home to late 😝. Safe riding and God Bess Texas and America. 🤙🏼❤️🤠

Great video was hoping you can make a video showing how you cut the rear fender bracket and how you covered the part you cut
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 8 лет назад
I can just tell you, it's pretty simple (all the words aren't, but trust me it is) 1. Cut off brackets using a cutoff wheel 2. Use a really small piece of insulation board (the blue/pink foam board that you see from home depot) if you don't want to go buy a whole piece just for this, you could use cork, wet cardboard, anything you can shove down the hole to get the basic shape to seal off the end (if you use cardboard let it dry before going to the 4th step) 3. Take the piece of foam (that's bigger that the circumference of the bracket hole) and press it down on top of the hole of the frame. You will now have an outline on the foam of what the hole looks like, use a knife to cut out the foam along the pressed lines, cut out just enough to have it sung ( you'll be putting a small amount of pressure on it on the 4th step), remove newly shaped foam piece back out of the frame and round off the edges and top with some sandpaper till you get a nice rounded edge all around. 4. Put the foam back into the frame. You should have a nice rounded top that flows all around and seals off the hole, using some JB WELD, cover the top and sides of the foam and seal of the edges between the frame and foam, be generous! babysit it for at least 30 minutes (it will tend to sag as its wet from application) youll need to reshape it some. 5. LET IT DRY FOR 24 HOURS! 6. Using a file and some sandpaper, gently work out the ridges of the hardened JB WELD till you get a smooth rounded top that flows into the frame. 7. Paint that shiz.... Hope this helps brother!!

Just found channel. I’m a 98 750 ace guy. Love this build. It’s supposed have garage feel. It’s a bobber. Less is more. So has this been made rigid w/frame chop or strut? Or still rockin mono? Might well chop passenger pegs.

Hi, funny you comment on this bike, it just came back to me for pilot jet work and getting rid of that AFP and a tune up before winter, its a killer bike, she likes it a lot. it still has the mono shock on it yeah and she wanted to keep the rear pegs (she'll stand up on them from time to time to stretch)

Did u paint a Plasti Dip those rims? I have a 01& 02 VLX I Bobbed..Both turned out very cool..I actually play a 8/58 MARY KAYE w Gold Hardware Strat,Super Rare 2/59 Slab board with TG pencil neck date, 4/59 wax pencil dated with Debbie on the masking tape Taos Turquoise Strat,Jan61 Slab Fiesta red thats more Salmon Pink than red..Body is wax dated 12/60 in the Trem Cavity..My Jan 62 Sunburst neck dated Strat has a 3/62 burst body...I have a rather nice collection of PRE CBS Teles and Strats thanks to my pop..He has 32 PRE CBS Strats and 14 PRE CBS Teles..including a 51 Nocaster,Single pup black 52 Esquire and blonde 52 Single pup Esquire..All are 100% original..NO REFRETS,SOLDER WORK OR REFIN ANYTHING..My pop was classically trained as a kid in Epsom England starting at 6 years old in 1948...He came to the U.S. on the Queen Mary in 1956 and got a used 1954 Stratocaster from Mannys in New York City after hiscguitar warped on the Ship from the humidity...Long story short..He bought as many new and used Strats and Teles from used 54s to 59s and by 59 he had been touring with a # of people..which allowed him to buy 2 59 Bassman Heads and matching Jensen 4×10 Cabs along with a couple of 100 watt Head and Silvertone 6 ×10 cabs which we still have..We or rather my pop has never sold any instruments except for a 1959 Danelectro that he ACTUALLY ended up buying back in 1963!!! Anyway..if u ever want or need some info or help on a Fender..It would be my pleasure!! I have a Vintage/Custom guitarcand Amplifier shop in Dallas..I live in Colorado but do schedule meetings in Dallas for just about ANY guitar!! Anyway cI have a few other Bobbers including an 03 I built from a 750 ACE..I back halfed it withba TC Bros hardtail kit and not only looks great,but rides excellent!! Ive ridden it from Denver to Dallas 3 times with zero issues! I road ONE of the 600s twice but itvwas SUPER buzzie after 65mph..EVEN with a 40 tooth sprocket but helped!!..I have a 55 74ci Pan Head K series rebuilt by S&S and I added a Baker 5 speed for not only reliability but for SAFETY!! Suicide shift can be a real nightmare! Also I WILL NEVER build a bike with a Shaft drive.. Its just not a proper bike with a shaft. I actually just putba deposit on a Indian Bobber in the original Indian Red..I only got 2 options..One is mini apes and the other is a must!! Spoke rims!!!! I hate "mag" style rims..ESPECIALLY on a Indian they are goingvto call a Bobber..I have my own plans for seat and other small things but NOT in the style Indian went with..But I am very serious on the finish on your rims..I hope to hear back from u...In regard to to type of finish.just would love to know if its glossified plasti dip or paint..Im about to just plasti dip my ACE spokes but dont want to have issues with balance issues.. Thanks so much man...I actually have a # of custom pups Seymour did for us..over the years..My dad has known Seymour since 72 and he needed some gigs after Hendrix had passed..My pop turned him on to some work and he steadily wentvfrom their...He new Leo Fender and Leo gave him some room to get started. The rest is history so the say...If your as into Fender as much as it seems. I would enjoy sharing some rare info...my names Colin btw...

the rims were going to go through powder coating, but your right it is expensive and the buyer went with painting instead, a lot of prep work but it went on really well, no problems with balance issues:) sounds like you have some deep roots with music! I'm a drummer but I do play the fretless bass some and have a good time with it:)

Saaaaaaaahweet bike! Awesome paint job and love the old-school condenser mic for the tail-light. And yes, it DOES sound great. Great work. What size pipes did you use? And why the different sized air filters on the twin-carb?
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 7 лет назад
Luvin Itall - Hey man, thanks for he comment;) the pipes are stock, what your seeing is wrap over the exhaust heat shield, kind of a trick of the eye, then exhaust tips on the end. The smaller filter is a breather for the crankcase. Hope this helps, have a good day;)

Loving your ideas, man. And those tanks are wicked. I'm gonna stick with the original tank but have the sides caved in to skinny it out a bit - will have to see if it's legal here in NZ to do something like that hose for the fuel gauge. What tips did you use on the exhaust? Best sounding VXL I've heard yet. Now we just need a vid with Kelsie riding it ... strat slung on her back :)

Luvin Itall - Haha, sorry man I didn't read your entire post, got going a little to fast, the exhaust tips come from a auto parts store called O'Rileys, they just happened to fit snug against that heat shield which made a nice transition from pipe to ends... Kels, is an amazing guitar player, best I've heard in a long while, she would totally fit into one of those "babes riding out" videos on RU-vid, have a great holiday;)

Mainly people stick around the 600's cause of the easy platform to work with, the 750/1100's come with a square tube frame which just doesn't hold to peoples taste I've found...Your definitely not the first to ask me how to do up the 1100's it can be done. but most people stick around the 600's though, not to mention there's more ready available after marker parts for them. how much do you charge for a bike like this in total?
@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 7 лет назад
HD Jake - it really depends on what you want to do, and how deep you want to go...you could do this yourself, for around the cost of a bike 06' vlx (2016) around 3000$ "ish" parts would send you down the road around 500$-1000$+ I Try and tell everyone if you have the means to do it your self DO IT!! You'll learn a lot and be that much more proud of the effort it took to get on that first ride...plus you'll know how to handle problems when they arise and they will eventually. But to answer your question fairly a bike custom done like his is labor intensive, and can go from anywhere to 4000$ up, hope this helps thanks for the comment!

Sha Kaka -- I'm not entirely sure, but he used a teal with a marbling tone and some raised stenciling technique that he does..He's really good at what he does that's for sure;)

@bannanapancake
@bannanapancake 3 года назад
Hey you can go as big as you want really, I wouldn't go to fat depending on your fork situation you could get rub somewhere, there is guys who put stock ACE tires on their shadows and It looks pretty good.
