I played honkai for like... half a year? but that's with breaks in between- the game was on my system for like a year though, and never have I ever felt as strongly about characters as these uh, lemme call 'em internet creatures. Like I have my handful of favorite characters and love 'em, but these creatures lost the line between fantasy and reality a long time ago. Same thing with Genshin. I love a lot of the characters there, but in no way am I gonna commit crimes just cuz an artist from God knows where decided to draw.... hm... say, Zhongli in a dress, for instance. And yes, one of my favorite things is that almost always these accusations have no basis and the sexuality of the characters or the canonicity of the ships only exist in their headcanons, half of which don't even make sense like the claims that Dan Heng's attempt at artificial respiration could only be read as a kiss if you're playing as a male character.

As Honkai player who’s totally hasn’t spent over 500 dollar on the game, firstly none of the characters have canon sexualities, nor partners, although ships can be heavily pointed to the only canon ship is Ana x Chen (Herrscher of Ice and Owl although they aren’t popular bc they’re both minor background characters (I could be wrong)) (they can’t outright say the heavily implied ships are canon thanks to CCP). Harem Art literally hurts no one, as there are no canon ships us as a community can decide what we want to ship. I mean personally I only really ship KianaxMei and KallenxYae as they’re the most implied and I just like em but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy the other ones, like ElysiaxMei or ElysiaxMeixKiana is cute and there’s plenty more including the straight ship Welt x Tesla And lastly Yae Miko and Raiden Shogun are not lesbian, it’s not canon, and while they are similar to Raiden Mei and Yae Sakura, Yae Miko and Raiden Shogun are completely their own characters within the Hoyoverse Multiverse. I’m a Yae Miko main (C2 and R1 and yes I spent money on her) and I can say for certain while they have similar hair colors, both are shrine maidens of sorts and have a similar name they are anything but the same their personalities are completely different. When I did research on the characters, since I've never played the game, from what I was able to gather the two are supposedly in love with each other?
