Remember my birthday dig a couple posts ago? The one where Diva and I went to Florida to hunt for arrowheads? That was awesome and we had such a good time that we booked a return trip as soon as we got home. This is our return trip. We hoped that we would be able to go to the same spot as last time, but that one was closed unfortunately so this time around we were at a new spot they call the Love site. Not sure why they call it that, but if I had to guess its because there is so much to find there, who wouldn't love it? Anyway, we were working the screens again and from the first second we were finding percussion flakes. Like a ridiculous amount! We were noses in the sand on the hunt, tossing every piece of chert into the bucket on the hunt for more Native American artifacts. They're from the Archaic period, ranging somewhere between 3000 and 6000 years old. We were hoping to find a Florida arrowhead with amazing workmanship made of incredible translucent material. That's the dream. Did we find it? You'll have to watch the video to find out! @AncientAdventures made a video a few weeks ago of this hunt and she included footage of stuff other people found.
