I’ve got the same mindset man and not just making an impact in 2 World Series wins he has been a big part of the Houston community and have never had a bad thing about him as a person outside of baseball and his injuries
wdym not committed of course he’s committed there’s nothing he can do about the unfortunate constant injuries he’s had it’s not like he goes out partying and doing other stuff while healthy or like he’s completely healthy and has decided to put baseball aside and there is no point of designating him for assignment because he’s not taking up a roster spot since he’s on the injured list he’s not on the active roster and he doesn’t count on the 40 man roster since he’s on the 60 day IL so for Lance it’s either retire or make another try at a comeback in 2025 thing is he’s still kinda at a good age at 30 so he’s not old yet
@@MrH.09 he will still still be in the heb commercials because he’s not gonna go anywhere he will again try to make a comeback he’s not a waste of a roster spot since he’s on the IL he’s not on the active roster and since he’s on the 60 day IL he doesn’t even count on the 40 man roster and I don’t see them DFAing him
It’s crazy because Houston is one of cities that lead in medicine and is world renowned but it’s crazy the Houston has the worst medical staff in the majors
there is no reason to let him go unless he decides he is gonna retire he’s not on the active roster he’s not even on the 40 man roster due to being on the 60 day IL so it’s more like he’s costing a roster spot
I personally think he could if they transferred him to a bullpen pitcher like Forrest Whitley look at Forrest who has battle injuries for years and now that the Astros have transferred him to the bullpen he has been healthy for the last 2 months and pitched amazing and possibly about to get the call up it could be nice to see the Astros try to do the same thing with Lance and maybe he will stay healthy since he is 31 maybe he can pitch again but not as a starter I feel like that is what they are still trying to make him be
no matter how you feel he played a role in 2 World Series championships and was good in the regular season when healthy and most importantly was a big part for the city of Houston and our community he can’t control his injuries so he has my respect
