@@TimoRutanen Indeed. ADCs play like the Supports exist to tank every AOE/skillshot in the game for them, and most can't play at all without a tanky support to save their ass. Yuumi basically was a skill multiplier. Sadly, most ADCs were ass and couldn't comprehend the issue was them because they were used to being pampered. I know a player who plays ADC because if they die, they can shift all blame onto the support and nobody can really argue it because they weren't the one laning with the support. It's the same thing, on a much wider scale. Yuumi simply revealed the crap players to a whole new degree.

You may have figured it out by now as your comment is 5 months old, but it likely stems from the fact that if your team sucks, Yuumi sucks.

@Dainsleif I would argue that it's not an homage but rather straight-up rip-off. Mind you, he used that exact "night elf worker" model back in DotA days. A lot of old hero designs were basically carbon copies of their Warcraft analogues with a few adjustments to make them legally distinct. Look at Silencer for instance which looks almost exactly like a Spellbreaker, or Lina which is really similar to Sorceress, or Crystal Maiden which design is super close to the Jaina's. Do you think that other supports don't see all skillshots adcs are missing? And it's fine, nobody can hit 100% of their spells. But for some reson when support manages to miss, for example, Thresh's hook or Bard that tried to stop enemies only but accidently got ally frozen in his ult too, 60% adcs I've played with immedeately starting pinging quiestion marks.

You can make fun of the prowlers you poop out that miss if yours does complain. It took until around 500k mastery for me to get used to the curve of that thing, but I always "Cat Bread" emote when mine look absolutely stupid so my teammate can see I know I derped =P

The only way to kill a yuumi is if the one whos playing with her is dumb and get out of the champ middle teamfight. Early game she's trash, but if 1 person of your team got strong, then even if the yuumi is 0/10/0 she just goes to him and make him unstopable.

you now I never understood why everybody hated Yuumi, she can be actually very good if you now how to play with her but recently I have had some of the worst Yuumis ever on my team, I started to hate the cahmpion because Yuumis in my team attach themselves like 24/7 and do literally nothing....it seems like they attach themselves and then go and watch netflix , its really annoying

@@Luna-fj9qh I was a Silver (maybe G5 at best) when Yuumi came out. I flat out called she was busted, even pointed out how her numbers were basically Sona on steroids. People refused to listen to the facts. The ADCs play like they got a bleedin' nautilus while they basically have an immortal Sona on their asses. Come her appearance in LCS, I could only mutter "I told you. I told you all. You underhyped her. You literal dumbfuck assholes" for a week on end. When a Low rank like me can see the issue isn't her but that ADCs are gods damned pampered, you know where the problem is, and ultimately where it ended up being.

I think only the low elo players thought this. Basically the better players knew the concept of hers was broken and said she's stupid even if her release state was weak. The lower elo players/norms/aramers thought she sucked and said she's stupid because her release state was weak.

that is indeed scarily correct. playing against a soraka/sona or anything else is like just focusing them down first but seem the hald transparent yuumi next to any person of the team just makes me cry cause I watch her heal I watch her shield w her non prejctile AA and I watch her scream ZOOOOOMIES ahhah but I can't target her at ALL and trying to kill the adc or the attached champion doesn't work too well at all... she's just confusing to play against and I hate how she can just go untargetable which as you said eliminates every enchanter weakness.

Im a yuumi one-trick and i've had people int my games and admit its because im in promos and playing yuumi. Its not about her numbers, its about the vitriol she receives

But the memories of a Yummi just merging with me in the fountain at the start of the game and the casting Q twice in the first 15m of the game. That was that players only interaction with the game... and it was just one game, but Yummis not using their passive, never unmerging to ward and such, that is pretty common. It got so far that if someone on my team hovers Yummi I'm like 80% tempted ot ban her. And I played in S3 and had a break until preseason 11, so all this drama around Yummi went completely past me. I recognize she can be useful and can be super strong late game, but most of the time is people lock in Yummi and go for a walk. At least from my experience.

sustain is whatever. Soraka has more sustain than Yuumi. What's absurd is her ability to stay completely untargetable for team fights. You can single out and kill Soraka at the beginning of a fight so she doesn't heal her team to full 3 times in 5 seconds. You can't single out and kill Yuumi. Her entire concept just doesn't work in a game where target prioritization is one of the most important strategies players can use to win

As a Yuumi main, I love playing Yuumi/Jhin with my friend. My w gives lots of Adaptive Force for both of us and my e + Staff of Flowing Water + passive shield gives a lot of MS for Jhin (and every other champ tbh) too.

@@bruno-ky4ht Yuumi is a very difficult champ to learn just not to play. All the best parts of Yuumi are virtually wasted on braindead morons that just sit on one ally. A person that has actually mastered Yuumi will be constantly switching between allies to proc the Avery Shield as many times and will jump off to auto and get her shield procced and add the defenses. This is not easy, especially since low elo players have no macro decision making skills. Otherwise Yuumi is just a glorified perma buff.

@@MementoMoriGrizzly No it's not. The first damn item that provides 40% cut is literally the difference between a 300 health heal down to a 180 heal. That is a fucking huge cut in healing. The only champion that makes Anti Heal somewhat useless is Soraka since they thought it was necessary to let her cleanse Anti Heal with her Ult. But I see Soraka about once every 10 months. And at final build the cut is 60%. You are literally denying more than half of what a healing effect should grant and the only way to somewhat counter that cut is Spirit Visage which balances everything out to be about 50% healing effectiveness and mostly Bruisers are the only ones who can build that. Which is fair seeing as Bruisers just existing on the frontline is punishable by death.

More power to ya if you like her. But the %mana cost heal feels awful, and her W going on cooldown when hit by ANY hard CC feels doubly awful. It's fascinating how HoTS can make Abathur feel so good and fun with a similar design, and yet Yuumi is the perfect example of a problem child.

@@Tekshipie Actually funny because I also play Abathur in HoTS haha! I personally think the W cd on CC is fair, as any good Yuumi player isn't going to get caught out super often, although it does happen, but it gives the enemy team a form of counterplay and just makes it so Yuumi needs to be more careful hopping off. Personally i'm also not bothered by the mana issues, as I usually take PoM and if you take advantage of her passive off CD then you really only have mana problems in long, hectic teamfights, which is where I think a Nami or a Soraka has the better teamfight over Yuumi.

true there's a lot of champions which are balanced/op/underpowered WHATEVER just winrate wise BUT they're just damn annoying to play against or with even sometimes... I personally hate playing against a pyke because yes he's got no additional health but the mobility and all the Regen from poke and the resetting execute just makes me go ehhhh... and yuumi is just so annoying to paly against or with because you can't really focus her AT ALL and you just watch her jump around in teamfight providing massive heals aaaah... her whole playstyle is a nice experiment and pretty unique don't get me wrong but its just honestly not a healthy addition to the game... every time I play w or against a yuumi theres at least two people from either team getting a bad mentality off it.

How fair is it that he can hit EVERYONE no matter if they are on his lane, at the other side of the map or even in the fountain!? And we're not talking little bit of damage. On max level he deals 500 magic damage + 75% AP. That's usually a big chunk out of the champion's health, especially if used during or just before a team fight. Not to mention most champions when they die can't cast spells... oh wait, ONLY he can do that, since Sion and KogMaw only run around and Sion autoattacks. That coupled with his ability to block the enemy with a wall that creates a massive slow down and a easy to hit comet ability makes him a VERY overpowered character with an ultimate that doesn't make sense and has no counter to, since you can't avoid it in any way and only slightly weaken it with magic defense. Ashe - Wth is this champion!? Most champions have 1 or 2 ccs in their kit, but ashe can make it so her AUTOATTACKS are ccs! And even besides that she gets true vision so you can't even suprise her most of the times and she can invade you with ease. Even further, her ultimate travels trough entire map, has damage of Jinx's ult, BUT it also stops enemies. How is that fair!? Pyke - Great. A champion who doubles the bot lane's income while lsao having an execute, cc, hook and ability to heal most damage dealt to him as well as going invisible. That's DEFINETLY fair. I think i've made my point. Just because a champion has unconventional abilities doesn't make them unfair. Yuumi has many weaknesses, from being the squoshiest champion ever, to ccs, to her mana pool being laughably low at start, but you opt to simply dismiss them just because she's untargettable. Sure, she is, but you said yousrelf that as janna you beat her easly. But no, then you complained that she just went on top lane and won. Well I have news for you. Every support who would leave bot to help top instead would have made it so their top champion would get fed. That's just how 2v1s work

It's literally the reason I played her. Getting skillshotted constantly by people that refuse to let people enjoy a game, put me off the entire genre. I thought this was a fantastic development and it literally brought me back to the game. Having less shit to hassle over is perfectly suited to my attention span, and allows me to relax a bit during a game, which in turn allows me to enjoy it instead of coming away with a migraine and bleeding nose.

Yuumi has an insane healing output, even when you are using grevious wounds. Normally if this was a champ like Soraka or Sona, you could just target them first, and they are basically defenseless. Yuumi, however, is literally impossible to target first if they arent trolling, which makes it incredibly frustrating to play. In order to compensate for her w, she has like 0 resistances, which makes it extremely hard to ward and roam (both of which are expected of a lot of supports). Her e also costs an insane amount of mana, which really isnt fun to play against at all, even if it is balanced. She can also turn anyone on your team who got even remotely fed into an unstoppable machine with minimal effort, basically abandoning the adc. Yuumi probably has the worst versatility in the game too, being forced into support role fer her reliance on allies, and just jumping onto the most fed person. This playstyle isnt engaging, its not challenging, its not fun to play against, and its not fun to play with, so it should not be in the game.
