Waited to year end to purchase the 50th Anniversary Camaro SS........Picked it up last week and it is everything I knew it would be from test driving regular SS models. At first I thought "I'm not paying $50,000 for a Camaro"..........I'm never saying that again. Great job GM for taking me away from my three Cadillac CTS's.

Great video. I got a 0-100 time of 4.1 with my 2016 Camaro SS 6 speed Manual. In Track mode and competitive race. Car is a beast stock. Although I just switched to Summer Michelin PSS and they make a huge difference in handling and braking performance.

I just got my 2018 Camaro 2ss about a month ago. The thing is a damn rocket.

The performance even a bare bones 1SS yields...Amazing bang for the buck. And...they generally are bulletproof.

Nice video, informative and to the point, and you can really hear that engine, and almost feel the pull. I drive a 2017 1SS all stock, about 3-5 days a week, so I know what that pull feels like, and I also have an 02 35th Anniversary SS Camaro LE that I take out on sunny days a few times a month.

who needs old muscle cars anymore. I can get one of these used in a few more years.

I drove the 2016 ss 6speed it is no joke. It is very relentless and intense faster than the mustang gt and it felt more in control when u got on it

Got me a 50th anniversary 2ss 6 months ago and I'm loving it. A very fun car, but would like to improve the throttle response time on it without to much modding any suggestions?

Bad ass runs man. 12.1 in 80 degree temps is awesome. I've been checking out a white 2SS with the black and ceramic white int. Gloss black rims with red pin stripe around the wheels. Very sharp looking cars. Gonna checked out how they lease.

Very curious, how tall are you? I'm 6 foot 1, and I opted out of the sunroof due to the 2 inches of headroom. Are you able to fit comfortably if you're around that height?

I have owned a 2013 and a 2914 Mustang GT automatic.and if I engaged traction control it slowed the take=off way down even with Drag radials due to the TC applying brakes or cutting back power. It would lose almost half a second ET at the track with TC on. I can tell from no wheelspin on your car that TC is holding back the take-off some but you are still getting great 1/4 mile times so evidently the TC on this is much better than the Mustangs.

I have the same car love love it. But I notice. Funny noise on the roll when I run it hard at around 60 mph torque converter I here is an issue in these cars have you had any issues and do you still have the car

How well did the camaros timer match up to that computer one?

Just drove the new 2017 SS for the first time today. Has a very different feel of speed than other cars. I didn't think it really "felt" fast, but when you look at the speedo you realize its extremely quick. To me, I feel like the Infiniti Q50's 3.0L twin-turbo V6 "feels" much quicker acceleration wise, yet its a whole second slower to 60. I wonder if it has to do with N/A vs Forced Induction.

I just purchased a 2017 2SS with a manual transmission last week because they handle extremely well, and I’ve owned almost every makers performance cars, BMW 650, MERCEDES, NISSAN GTR, I haven’t owned a Mustang which is weird because I have driven them and like them as well. I say this because I’m the one paying for the car, and not paid to ride a certain manufacture other than my own. However the reputation that American muscle cars can’t turn ends at the tail pipes of the new Camaro. If you understand how to drive a high horse power rear wheel drive sports car, you’ll have nothing but fun with this one. Most people who end up crashing these cars blame the car instead of their lack of driving ability. “I was doing nothing wrong (racing at 130+) and I went around a bend and the back end broke loose! (I.E came in too hot, didn’t get their braking done in a straight line and set the car up for the corner, went to the gas too late, then backed out of the throttle, because they got scared, then when the back end went light the slammed the brakes and went for a ride.) and then because of my amazing skill set! I barely escaped crashing my car and killing everyone (meaning I screamed like a little girl, and the stabilitrack, ABS, TRACTION CONTROL and the hand of GOD heard my screams for help and saved me.) The car is a high horse power vehicle with rear wheel drive, it is a weapon for the streets and just because you can afford one doesn’t mean you can drive one. Everyone wants to turn off the traction control to do burn outs and look cool, until they don’t. If it’s your first high HP car with rear wheel drive, leave the nannies on, go to a driving school, hit the track and learn how to drive it first. Keep your ego in check, so that it doesn’t write a check your butt and insurance can’t cash, because I don’t care how much comp and collision insurance you have it can’t bring you back to life, if your lack of skill causes your screen to say GAME OVER.

Are the paddle shifters delayed? Seems like it downshifts slower than the ones in my 370Z but launching in full auto seemslike it shifts fast in the video.

This popped up in my recommendation after like 3 years lmaoo but I love Camaro my mom has the 1le package summit white I love the crackles and pops it makes 4th gear in track mode is the sweet spot 🤙🏾 that’s actually the first car I learned to drive stick on it was hard asf at first but gets easier the more u drive it the best car that gave me a run for my money was a m4 lol I eat scatpacks up all day 😉
