How Fast is Ichigo? (Spoilers) 

Ichigo traveled a distance that would take 7 days at light speed in half a day. That pretty much answers the question.

Yes Aizen is stronger than all of the espada combined, otherwise they wouldve tried to jump him. They werent scared of his kyouka suigetsu (Other than Barragan) they were afraid of his strength.

A very good example of bleach's speed is Lille Barro. Lille Barro turns into a being made of light. And has the power to teleport. During his fight against Kyoraku, Kyoraku easily dodges all of Lille Barro's light beams but doesn't dodge any of Lille Barro's x-axis attacks which are instantaneous and don't move at any speed at all. The author is clearly trying to show that these characters are at least the speed of light.

Gin was actually talking about his clapping speed and not the speed of sound. And gin was WAY faster than just 500 times faster than sound. Dodging his bankai requiers AT LEAST Relativistic+ speeds which makes that entire ideology of bleach being below lightspeed just dumb

I think something else thats interesting is that after ichigo had become stronger after defeating ulquiorra and went into his jinzen training in the dangai, he spent roughly 3 months time training with white zangetsu and though he slowly syncronized with zangetsu more and more, he still admitted he couldnt even touch the spirit of his powers combined together, i take that to mean his potential is more than he can handle and even when he used mugetsu, it makes sense that old man zangetsu later told him that all the power he'd wielded until then was a tiny fragment of his true power. I think mugetsu was him tapping into his true power but he used it at the cost of temporarily losing access to his reiryoku. His true shikai has to be greater than dangai or mugetsu because hes finally able to channel any of his true power to however little or however much he wants and even yhwach stated his reiatsu was taking physical form before they even began fighting. I assume that even his horn of salvation plus bankai is not all the power ichigo could muster as he still has quincy power to master and combine all of that with fullbring (though I'm not sure if fullbring gives a substantial enough boost but i suppose it would have to if kubo had ginjo tell ichigo that when he combined soul reaper and fullbring together that he would surpass a shinigami) so imagine ichigo in a form where all his reiatsu is combined into one form and condensed by his bankai, fully released by his hollow side (since arrancar power fully releases ones inner power when releasing ones zanpakuto) it's no wonder ichigo hadn't mastered it by the time he fought yhwach, he has alot of power to channel and try to control.

I just want to say that you did this amazingly and it really impressed me. It shows that even though characters can go really, REALLY fast, they aren't actually that fast because authors never have the time or intention to make their story like that. really great video this is probably one of the most accurate bleach scaling I've seen and one of the best one thing though True Shikai more likely was compared to Mugetsu instead of Dangai making TS already more powerfull than it already is as Ywach pointed out the power to defeat Aizen. Dangai did not have that power its capable of bullying Aizen around but immortality + evolution was in the way Mugetsu was absolutely needed to completely destroy Aizen literally as Aizen was even shown disintegrating and weakened him enough to be sealed thereby "defeat" + before True shikai any form was merely a tiny fragment of his true potential

A few things to note. Cien is only equal to the Vasto Lorde with 50% of his Shukakusho which would mean Cien 100% = Vasto Lorde Ichigo 50%. Another is Cien admits that Base Aizen is stronger and has higher reiatsu than him. Base Aizen is not slightly weaker than Yamma. It’s stated that even without his Zanpakuto that Aizen was no threat to him. This would mean with Hakuda alone he would just beat the shit out of Aizen.

I would say you forgot when Ichigo was fighting juha and orihime had her seten kenshou shield up and Ichigo went through it so fast that she didn't even notice it or felt it.

I don't think Kubo meant for Ichigo to be hundreds of times faster than light. But I do think there's no way he had things like Rukia fighting the guy that dodged light, or even Nanoa dodging Lillie's light without intending for Ichigo to be at least 10X faster then them. However one things I think kind of helps though is that Bleach's lore fucks with physics. Hueco Mundo is bigger on the inside then outside, Urahara's basement also seems to do that, the space between the plains with the Cleaner(name is blanking right now) is completely outside of time, Grimmjow shoved Ulquiorra into a mini dimension for a while. Bleach is not supposed to be a "realistic" world, everything is made up of Reishi.

The only thing I'll say is that while Bankai/Mask/Ressureccion are roughly 10x multipliers, it's not necessarily in terms of all physical attributes. Byakuya, for instance, doesn't get any stronger or faster, but he gains a fuckton more blades to work with. Generally speaking, with the exception of characters like Ichigo, Bankai doesn't really translate to having 10x speed and strength. It means they have roughly 10x as much Reiatsu to work with and have much better Zanpakuto abilities. Arrancar and Vaizards, on the other hand, DO gain amps in terms of their physical attributes from using the Mask/Ressureccion respectively, with Arrancar gaining more of a boost than the Vaizard do. They get visibly much stronger, faster, durable, etc. That being said, even then they don't necessarily get 10x speed and strength, but just an amp that makes their overall fighting 10x more effective. So, Ulquiorra, for instance, is most likely only getting a 2-3x amp to speed specifically upon each powerup whereas Ichigo is getting a much higher amp because his forms are based around emphasizing speed. Generally, however, I'd say that the characters are roughly Lightspeed at SS with FTL x10-20 during Arrancar scaling up into the FTL x50-100 during the TYBW and beyond. Also, for the people trying to downplay Ichigo due to Gin blitzing him with Mach 3-5 attacks... no, just no. Ichigo is noticeably weaker than his Vasto Lorde form here because he's back to holding back after his own PTSD from losing control and almost killing Uryuu. He's freaking out about Aizen and the whole fight with Gin is an attempt to force Ichigo to regain his resolve. The actual speed of Gin's attacks are irrelevant. Gin is using terms that a human, like Ichigo, has no real perspective for. He's trying to gt under Ichigo's skin. Ichigo is back to square one, having just gone through all of Hueco Mundo only to realize his Hollow can still take over and now he has to contend with an Aizen that not only decimated the Gotei 13, but is functionally immortal.

There's a glaring problem when referring to ichigo "full hollow form" and it's that name isn't full hollow but in fact Vasto Lorde Ichigo. A Vasto Lorde is actually much MUCH stronger then any espada out there. In fact that form is SO strong it can destroy the chains of hell and with a normal cero it can easily overtake a cero oscura. But whats even more is that we never saw his Vasto Lorde at full power and the only closest thing would be Szayelaporro in his original form, all in all just using this form to calculate is a nightmare because if using it as a example are we using his full power form or the form we saw and i doubt its the full power version

Can we stop using the Yoruichi 5-10 times scale please 🙏 it has been retconned many times (ex. Not all bankai multiples the users strength, speed or defense), and even at the time the way she spoke lead at least me to believe that she was speaking about bankai when you first obtain it and not its mastered form. So likely a mastered bankai is much more than a 10 times amplifier.

For the billionth time *the Gin line doesn't mean that the speed displayed is our perception of it* Gin is talking to Ichigo not to a normal human and Shinigamis have proven to have a VERY increased perception just in the first Ichigo VS Byakuya fight (where Byakuya is under the limiter that puts him at 20% of his power) as Byakuya blitzzed Ichigo he talked to the falling Ichigo *as Ichigo fell to the floor* and Ichigo heard and understood what he said falling from your feet to the floor is something that takes 1-2 seconds so Byakuya gave his full line (with pauses included in the sentence) if the perception of Shinigamis (and Ichigo) were the same as humans then all Ichigo would have heard was an awkward sound yet this wasn't the case proving that the Gin line being what Ichigo is perceiving isn't what a human would perceive if the human saw this and disproving the speed of sound nonsense

Gin is not a good person to scale against because the whole point of gin is that he is exactly like he said he was a snake so you can never trust anything he said especially about his own powers he is one of the rare characters that straight up pointed out it was stupid to tell your opponent what your power does which is why he always lied and told half truths and then he'd lie about that. That's why no one not even aizen knew what his zanpakuto actually did. That's why gin is not good to scale against cause his powers aren't being shown without a deception like when he said his sword isn't that fast he could've been lying in both ways. It could have been faster and gin was holding back cause he really wasn't trying to kill Ichigo so he was holding back so gins power could go either Way drastically it just depends and that is the beauty of Gin.

If you want something to help lowball insane speed a tad: If you double the kinetic energy in an object, it doesn't double in speed. You have to quadruple the energy to double the speed, because speed is proportional to the square root of kinetic energy. So if Ichigo is a million times stronger than a lightspeed character, he'd only be 10,000 times faster than the speed of light, all else being equal. Also, not all everything that could be referred to as light has to travel at the speed of light; it's not like photons would do all the stuff we see those beams do, so it could certainly be argued that it's a non-feat, but I don't expect any bleach wankers to buy that argument.

I thought Shunpo/flash step (Soul Reaper) and Sonido (Espada/Arrancar) were equal to or faster than the speed of sound but not speed of light level. Am I wrong? I can’t remember if it explains it in the Manga/Anime. I know Sonido in Spanish means Sound.

When are you going to make a video on Naruto's speed. I think the Naruto verse has the most convoluted speed scaling of the big three. Kirin itself has three speed scales. The Raikage was stated to be almost the speed of light. That probably means 80-90 percent SOL. Naruto in KCM 1 blitzes him from mere millimetres away. He's likely about 4x as fast at that moment, making Naruto in KCM 1 3.2x the SOL or 3.6x SOL. I don't know how much faster KCM 2 makes him but it's probably no lower than 5 seeing as KCM 1 was using only a sliver of the 9 tails power. That would make Naruto in KCM 2 32x or 36x SOL. Add sage mode, which is well understood to be a 10x multiplier bare minimum would make Naruto 320 or 360x SOL. Sage of six paths is a bigger amp than all these forms. Just using SOSP allowed Naruto to bully Madara. This could easily be a 10x multiplier but it could also be much lower. I will say its 3. That would make Naruto 960x or 1080x SOL. However, like I said earlier, Naruto speed scaling is very convoluted. The databook states the light fang that Madara uses as the speed of light. That would mean that the Raikage, Minato and many other characters would be capable of dodging it. The Raikage also has to be closer to the SOL than he is to lightning speed seeing as that's how fast kid Kakashi was.

Bleach's speed is inconsistent Renji and Ikaku never used flash step during Ichigo's fight. During the same arc, we see Ikakaku using Flash Step. If bleach characters were FTL a character like lille barro should be considered slower than the captain and lieutenants but that is not the case.

Expect there is really nothing to indict that gin was clapping faster than a regular human and shinigami having a higher perspective doesn't prove anything either as said perspective varies from individual and unless feats are used or something is stated we don't know how fast their perspective is. In fact we don’t even know what gin actually said to aizen about his bankai only what he said to Ichigo. So it could very well be the truth.

i feel like you might be highballing his (and the entire cast's) base speed. yes they "dodged" lightspeed attacks like cero and negacion, but ceros require a charge-up to which can be preemptively reacted and wasnt it yoruichi who expected the negacion to hit them and warned everybody to get back before it landed? you dont have to be LS to prepare for/move out of the way of a LS attack

Faster than light is always a dumb concept in anime. All of the Z fighters are supposed to be faster than light, yet they have to fly to every location. If a person is truly faster than light they would be able to instantly appear any place on earth at any time. Faster than light in anime doesn't exist.

I wouldn't say them jumping out of the way or light like attacks suggests light speed movement. Though leaving after images does. Then you have contradictory feats like Ichigo rushing back to soul society during tybw. Those air rings are him breaking the sound barrier. I recently stopped accepting anime characters move faster than light and treat it like a turn of phrase like fast as lightning. Otherwise, you got to accept academy students in the Naruto universe are near light speed. Using Sasuke vs Haku fight it is stated that Haku was moving between mirrors at light speed. Sasuke near the end was read and react to his attacks. Even tagging Haku a couple of times. However, I don't think the universe is filled with light speed kids. So I have a similar take as you, the authors want to say that the characters are going fast. So they use terms like fast as lightning or light.

Data transfer between Urahara and Ichigo through phone takes place in the form of radio waves which has the speed of 3*10^8 m/s roughly. That means Ichigo wasn't travelling at the speed of light as the Voice data transferred faster than Ichigo himself
